[X] Bring the Lady in a room with Jarlar, Lady Forlys and your Erinyes, they (Erinyes) are to protect them, though not at the expense of their own lifes
-[X] Use Bloodwish to break their connection to this Ritual. Use Viserys best judgement to decide if a simulated Remove Curse, Break Enchantment or a direct Limited Wish isthe best chance.
-[X] Buff up with Scintillating Scales, Greater Blink, and Arcane Spellsurge
-[X] Turtle the demon, then start erasing the sigils in the guest rooms, starting with that of Forlys.

You know, if the demon is under the effects of Status, turning him into a turtle would send a pretty important message.

Demon Caller: *Blinks*

Abraxxas: "What happened?"

Demon Caller: "Our minion... just turned into a turtle?"

Abraxxas: "Shit, Plane Shift away ASAP"

I'm binge reading this quest. I'm now at the part where PC's just dealt with the cursed manor. My impression of the quest can be summarised with "best sister ever" and "it was sloppy as fuck but we killed it".

Looking forward the rest of the story.

That is the most accurate description of this quest at some points. Which part are you at currently?

Ah, that time Waymar hugged a monster to death. We should have seen the signs... The world does warp to make honor and friendship work out for this madman!

That was an honest question. I'm getting the feeling nobody actually cares about this arc except me, since every other vote, there is either a bandwagon for me or a bandwagon for throwing a few spells at the manse and going home to do something else.

I think it's more like not everyone can do proper skullduggery.

I mean, you are one of those players that are quoted later in those "memorable moments in D&D gaming", while the vast majority is content with "I roll 17 for full attack".

It does kind of feel like fatigue for me too which is why I was worried about it leading to frustration, but I have been getting positive feedback so to be honest I'm not sure what is happening.

To answer your question, @Azel, I think we're just feeling out of our depth. This went from just intrigue to also having a murder mystery/occult/Valyrian remnant subplot.

So when in doubt...Fire?

This arc is kinda your personal baby. We would have tried to go for a full invasion like in Tyrosh and so spend less updates in intrigue.

EDIT: I'm enjoying it anyway, I'm not complaining at all.

The arc has been super cool, IMO. I'm just scared to make a mistake and mess something up. I'm kinda heavy handed...

So I'm mostly fine just going with the herd on this one rather than trying to lead it.

The thing is that we are now in the "throw obscure spells around to cheat at everything at once"-phase, so I'm kinda hoping for some input from others how to most efficiently extract everything we need from her skull so that we can plan a proper assault on the main hideout.

We need Tyene for Brain Spidering, or we can duplicate a much less efficient Probe Thoughts spell.

To be honest I've always been out of my depth with intrigue, but fair's fair. We just got to go on a pure adventure run with Valyria, so the least I can do is shut up and let everyone enjoy it. Not to knock on the arc itself, it's excellently written, but at the same time it's not my thing.

My explanation for the situation: we've more or less figured out what's happening. We don't actually care about any of the NPCs involved. We've blown our cover to Jarlar (ugh).
So what's left to do apart from just using brute force?
What can we hope to gain by going further with the intrigue? I love intrigue, but I don't see what we want out of this situation anymore.

@Artemis1992, I think that you're looking at things too small-mindedly. I would Shadow of the Doom + Celerity&Shadow of the Doom the whole mansion. The servants will fail their fortitude saves and be petrified for later processing, the ritual will be ruined, and the demons will probably die.
