By the way:

The Others have pet White Dragons. Of course they have pet White Dragons. That's going to be lovely when they start invading in force.

When we go to the Plane of Air I want to hunt at least one White Dragon before we come back home. Loot, XP, and the satisfaction of crushing a dragon all in one package.

I think the White Dragons were a thing even in canon?

I remember some of Old Nan's tales spoke about Dragons that breathed ice and were allied with the Others.

Also, you guys think we could get the Landwarden to sacrifice the Lich for the Heart Tree?

Or to put it in the threads terms:
'Life gives you lemons, excellent, loot lemons. Now scry the lemons to find life's lemon tree, loot that and any other things life has left in the vicinity. Look into ways to speed up fruit growth & monetize lemon production.'

Yep. Ice Dragons. Makes sense they were translated to White Dragons in D&D terms.

Also, I took it as a bit of a given that we'd be sacrificing the Lich. Like half the reason we're scrambling for this sacrifice is just so we can destroy that fucking Lich. There will be major salt if after all the work we put into this we still fail to kill that thing.

By the way guys, regarding our Runestaff of the Old Gods:
Runestaff of the Old Gods

Description: This staff seems at first worked of smooth bone, and only at a second look might one see the tiny veins of thick red sap worked into what is in truth weirwood, light in the hand as a living thing thing would be, balanced between earth and sky, a pact made manifest, a key to hidden paths unwalked for an age.

Ability: A Runestaff of the Old Gods serves as a +2 quarterstaff and allows you to cast either of the following spells (each three times per day) by expending a prepared arcane spell or arcane spell slot of the same level or higher:
Special: Tree Stride between any two Heart Trees no matter the distance (Dangerous to the mind while the Gods are wrathful).
While nobody actually requires the staff (when we're not surveying land or spying on people and when Lya's not busy learning all these spells), I want Leila Hill and Kyla Fairwind to both learn Summon Swarm.
So the sacrifice part from before the ret-con is still a go? Also the Tree Stride of the staff is for self only or can Viserys bring people with him?
Yep. Sacrifice to make the Heart-Tree Tree Stride less prone to damaging the mind. Personally I want to get our hands on Mindblank before spamming this.

A very scary spell then.

Modify Memory isn't available on either of Garin's spell lists.

And it would be a wasted spell.

Methinks Bloodraven wants to quieten the Old Gods Revengeboner partly because that's the only way he can speak calmly with them, and thus secure his release. It also puts in perspective why he's reticente to add the Landwarden's voice to the Old Gods, as it would make their voices back rowdier and thus likely require more work to untangle himself.

I feel for him, but the Landwarden & Lich sacrifice is something we kind of have to do.

Especially the Lich. Fuck that thing.

When the time comes, if he asks it of us I'd happily try to help him secure his release. Honestly I don't think the Old Gods would even really care that he's leaving.

I don't think the Old Gods would even really care that he's leaving.

I think they would. He's the "living" Greenseer that I think acts as the "microprocessor" of the central server for the "weirwood network".

Meaning, we should get Bran to grow up fast enough to plug him in exchange if ever we need to have a level 10 Arcane Hierophant running around.

We already know we can beat the Lich ourselves, might as well look into getting a Trap the Soul so he can't get back in his Phylactery, or find other solutions.
Divine aid is not the only choice in his case.

I still strongly suspect that the Doomblob is only a fucked up as it is because it has been mind-connected to a misanthropic, tortured Lich for centuries. Just find him a nice, harmless peasant to Enslave and we have much better chance to get it in a reasonable state.

Wand of Gust of Wind
Please keep that one until someone learned the spell, we might want it for our ships.
Favorable Winds is better for that purpose, but Gust is definitly better than nothing.

My plan, @Artemis1992, @Duesal, was to get Richard's Knowledge (War) to 10 ranks. I wanted to get 4 this level since we don't plan on having him fight in mounted formations for a little while yet, but he could use the background in martial lore right now.

So this level up he gets 4 ranks. Next (14) it'll be 2 in War, 2 in Ride and 1 to Max Concentration.

Then at level 15 he'll get War to 10, Max Concentration. And for the next five levels, you can have him put skill ranks in whatever. I won't complain if you want to give him Perform (Juggling) so long as he's a capable general rather than just a decent field captain. It would be reassuring to leave him in command of the ground forces whenever we take to the air, since then we won't have to micromanage shit, just draw up the initial battle plans, maybe use divination for some contingencies, hand them to Richard, and have him improvise where necessary.

He's counted, Jim.

To clarify, @DragonParadox, that's 9 for TNE, and 8 for Goldfish.
