+1 Wisdom helps him with Sense Motitve, Spot, gives him a bonus spell slot of his highest level and increases all the DCs by 1, while boosting one of his weakest, and rather very important, saves: Will.

+1 DEX as goldfish suggest does all of nothing for now.

Ugh. Runestaff of fabricate or page of spell knoledge for viserys. Getting other people to fabricate is becoming tiresome. Item of divine inspiration and a few skill points scattered over any field we'd ever want to use - +1 to heal, alechmy, appraise, various craft skills.

Two actual things though, if we upgrade lya's int item to +5 to hit the next modifier that gets her to +7.

Totally worth grabbing one point of knowledge dungeoneering amd nature for her. Let her leverage her genuis over more fields, like Viserys does, but less cheaty ;)

Also, strech goal: runestaves of teleport for Waymar. And if possible, for Tyene (via Vee providing the spell and maybe a bit of divine intervention)

Yep, ideas are the weapons that shape societies, not merely blood.

I do like that explanation as to why the Andals in Essos seemed to vanish. The ones that intermarried did okay, but their numbers were so decimated that the entire region they had in Essos is still underpopulated (fortunate for the Valyrian Pentoshi and Lorathi colonists, and for the Braavosi).

So, can I sway your guys to my plan? There's another two stat increases, at 16th and 20th, mad both could go to DEX.

But Wis right now does a whole lot more.

Or we can pay 600 IM to upgrade his gloves to +3 Dexterity and gain a lot more benefits well before level 16.

For 600 IM to upgrade the gloves, he would get +1 bonus to attack rolls, +1 AC, +1 Initiative, +1 Reflex saving throw bonus, and a +1 bonus to Balance, Hide, Move Silently, Open Lock, Sleight of Hand, & Tumble skill checks. Garin really needs every bit of help he can get on his attack rolls.

The +1 to Wisdom would increase the saving throw DC by +1 for the single spell he has which requires it, increase his Will saving throw by +1, and his Listen, Sense Motive, and Spot skill checks by +1.

Garin is a Dexterity-based character. Increasing his Wisdom is sub-optimal in the extreme.

His condition is a tragic consequence of the low levels of magic pre mending.

Would he like an item of mage-hand (extra cost for Xor level's of fidelity)?

Not sure if he'd be able to do much with it, but eh.
Is there anything we can bring with us next time that he might find useful that we can quickly aqquire? (offering gold cost, not up for spending time?)

Would he like a few metric tonnes of reading material for his downtime, or does he be super-manipulator dude 24/7?

I feel bad for him.

I hope that tge whispering sand is useful to him if he can make use of 25 words a day to sd, and if so, bring half a brazier pair next time and maybe put some construct ravens/seagulls under his command so he can di his thing.

Similar goals, and where they are dis-similar, they appear to be not incompatible, and we can't stop him doing anything.

Might as well open a new vector of affecting the world if he wants :D

The brazier pair will also allow for a conversation the dosen't need 3 days of sleep, and it's not like it's gonna have a large differnce in information security from what I can see.

Oh, and any other magic items he might like for comfort/effectiveness.

I prefer magic boosts over physical.
And Wis is very imprtant for decision making and Garin owes burny a favor.
I would just prefer dimention jump for him, but eh.
