Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

I dont feel like finding out what happens when we activate Progenitor Frame with 1 member under control seal unless we really have too.

However, why is Rei's OP not taking effect? She should be close enough to already start chipping away at the seal.
Also, Rei also has this ability which should be doing something as well:
Power Negation
-Neutralizes all opposing Powers that fail a Modifier check. Divinity is Immune.
(1d100, difficulty of 75)
So... does this mean abilities, or what?

An Intercept is just about the last thing you want here.
I think they meant to ask... uh... here, let me give an example:

Let us assume Alex is charging at Sega. And Nepgear activates Core Purge before the attack hits (either to hit Alex or protect Sega)
Would that count as an intercept?

At least this is how I understood the question.

Also, Rei also has this ability which should be doing something as well:
That is only in regards to people attacking her, I think.

The key word here is "opposing". Jugs ain't doing shit to Rei right now, so it doesn't trigger.

Core Purge cannot cause Intercept conflicts.

I've got a thought about diving towards Goddess Gold and hoping Juggernaut follows and we all get Chained up. This could go badly if Jugs breaks the chains and I have a feeling that she's capable. (assume 50% damage from having her spear tied up and she still does a million Damage.)

[X] Plan KISS
-[X] Activate Core Purge, targeting the Seal Juggernaut Drive has.
-[X] Engage in defensive maneuvers otherwise.

[X] [EXP] Plan Upgrade
-[X] Upgrade Flight to level 30 (1350 XP)

Not much else we can do, besides maybe progenitor frame... Running isn't a good idea. We might want to say something to Sega or clarify that we only core purge if we get in range.

Also, why isn't Rei's presence wearing away at the seal? or has it just not started yet, due to the absence of an actual turn at the end there?

rei's fighting white soul far enough away to count as a different battlefield, probably.

I'm very concerned about Rei's thoughts. Why would she think killing people would make them stay with her, that is kind of the opposite of what would happened. And as was seen in fatal gear, Rei really does not want Nepgear to die.

"The hell? What the fuck does it take to kill you?!"

You smile sheepishly at White Soul's demand as both Sega and Red Rose gape openly at you. Insight simply rolls her eyes and mouths something you can't make out."More than you've got."

"Umm... if I remember everything correctly... More than you have." A feeling of smugness curls into your gut as the three girls blanch. "Honestly? You can't kill me White Soul. As Sega would say: Kudos for trying."
Doink.
Somehow, even at this distance, you can see the look of sheer surprise on everyone's faces as you hover over the damaged earth. Surprise that you are still alive. A tiny urge promptly takes over and your hand moves on its own, presenting a one-finger salute to White Soul who, also, somehow sees it.
Well...good thing we invested a lot into not dying?

Well, Rei's invisitext is ominous. Starting to see why we should keep the Gehaburn numbers down.

As for Juggernaut, I'm thinking it's time to once again activate Core Purge and target the Seal. That should put a stop to this. But before that, let's upgrade our stuff.

[X] Plan KISS
-[X] Activate Core Purge, targeting the Seal Juggernaut Drive has.
-[X] Engage in defensive maneuvers otherwise.

[X] [EXP] Plan Upgrade
-[X] Upgrade Flight to level 30 (1350 XP)

That should upgrade our High Speed Combat to level 4, and put our top speed at 290 mph. That should help keep us alive, especially combined with my plan. And with that, I'm off to sleep. Goodnight everyone, let's hope we can get through this.
Sounds reasonable.

As an attendum - we have Flight (Boosted). Alex has Flight without Boosted but still 20 mph more than us after the upgrades. We need to maneuver, not outrun.

Also if Core Purge still has the same effect on resurrected MGs they will be down for the count once the seal is gone. Let's try and not have Rei obliterate them.

Also I wonder if Core Purge can mitigate the Gehaburn's influence.

Bloodthirsty Blade
Attacks Per Turn: 2
Affinity: Madness
Ability: Levitate, Limitless, Hate, Sanity Damage
Whoever touches this blade, will be overcome by its bloodthirsty nature. Inflicts Rage and Sanity Damage on both wielders and targets.
Also, Rei also has this ability which should be doing something as well:

So... does this mean abilities, or what?
Maybe. Keep in mind however that divinity is immune - and Juggernaut Drive is divinity.

Perpetual Spear: 707,534 Base Damage, 2,122,602 Impossible Strength, +603 Dice = 2,123,205 Total Damage
Impossible Strength
-???????????????
So; Impossible Strength took Perpetual Spear from 707.5k damage to 2,122.6k damage. Dividing through we get a simple 3x damage multiplier.

We've also got another "X Strength" to compare against:
Godlike Strength (Demon King)
-When meeting an opposing force, increase Demon King's Base Damage by 125%. Negate if opposing force is backed by: Godlike Strength, Unstoppable, Juggernaut, or a 5-1 damage advantage.
Assuming Impossible Strength is similar to Godlike Strength then I'm guessing it looks something like this:
Article:
Impossible Strength
-Increase Juggernaut Drive's Base Damage by 200%. Negate if opposed by Impossible Strength, Unstoppable, or a 10-1 damage advantage

Of course even if this is the case that negation is useless since it requires an Intercept which triggers The Unstoppable Spear to be cast.

Speaking of which @Crystalwatcher - What is the point in obscuring two of The Unstoppable Spear's abilities when you've already shown us that they are Unstoppable and Overwhelm?

Oh and maybe I'm missing something, probably one of those hidden skills, but it seems to me that against Nepgear The Unstoppable Spear is actually worse then Perpetual Spear. TUS deals [Health] damage, is Unstoppable, and triggers Overwhelm (+75% [Opponent's Base Damage]). Nepgear's Health is currently 39,890 and even with Overwhelm (0.75 * 12,921 = 9,691) the damage is only 49,587. Hell throw in Impossible Strength and it's still just 148,761.

Unstoppable kills Nepgear's BR (not that useful at these scales), and her no-sell ability (would be bypassed anyway), but has no effect on ICORE's 99% reduction which drops the damage to 1,488. I can't remember if Unstoppable effects No Longer Human but if it doesn't that drops even further to 744. Meanwhile Nepgear regenerates 4,500 Health per turn.

Really Perpetual Spear is far scarier since the might of Massive Numbers is one of the few things that can penetrate Nepgear's defenses. Amusingly enough Juggernaut Core did us a massive favor by turning this into an aerial battle. We know from the aerial combat rules that everyone gets cut down to just one attack per turn:
When it comes to Aerial Combat, things change. When up in the sky pretty much everyone is reduced to only one Attack Per Turn and it devolves into a mix of jousting and dog fighting depending on the weaponry used.
This is important because normally Juggernaut Drive has six APT and thus could kill us in a single turn.

Now however it would take seven consecutive turns where Juggernaut Drive successfully hit Nepgear. Actually even that wouldn't work since as far as I can tell JD hasn't got Supremacy, Auto-Kill, Kill-by-Modifier, or Total Devastation to bypass ICORE's 1/turn autosave.

Actually I have some serious questions about the last update. Specifically the lack of Supremacy Zone. For the White Soul bits I can see Nepgear still being on the ground and thus it not activating, not that it matter since ICORE no-sold everything, but when JD attacked us:
She smiles. Fear stops your heart. "Maybe an opponent like me?" You send all the magic you can spare to your wings, a desperate reaction of pure fear in the face of a predator. You aren't fast enough.
that certainly sounds like Nepgear was shooting into the air. Maybe not fast enough to actually dodge, we were pretty damn close and JD is damn fast, but six feet is not much of a requirement. At Nepgear's top speed, which remember she can hit the instant she kicks off thanks to it being Boosted Flight, she travels six feet in 17 milliseconds.

Seeing as the Perpetual Spear had none of these:
  • Supremacy
  • Auto Kill
  • Kill By Modifier
  • Detonate and it's derivatives. (Anti-air flak more or less.)
  • Anti-Air
  • Total Devastation
attached it probably should have done zero damage.

Even setting that aside however there is also the aerial battle at the end of the update. There were multiple attacks by Juggernaut Drive against both Nepgear and Sega but not once did Nepgear automatically Intercept those attacks like she should under Supremacy Core:
While in the air, Solid Core will automatically Intercept all enemy attacks that are aimed at her or her allies so long as they are within line of sight.
