Best method for work-related divination: "What is the thing/action that is most useless, time-consuming and aggravating?". Of course I don't manage to divine the exact course of 'action' (I tend to fall short), but I get the tendency a lot better than I like to ...
Handy translation guide:
"As far as I know" - I know nothing.
"We've always done it like that." - I don't care enough to change something, even if it's stupid.
"It's important that this is done by a human, not a machine." - I'm useless and attempting to justify my presence by tedious tasks.
"This feature is very important." - I am very important. Do what I say.
"I have a lot of experience with this." - I don't care what the facts say.
"This process is too complicated to model it like that." - We work 2h a day tops and if you keep poking, someone might notice.
"That should be easy for you." - I have no idea what I'm proposing, but I need it tomorrow.
"That would be too complicated." - I have no idea what you are proposing, but it probably is not worth thinking about it.
"I think." - I think. That's the problem.

Part MCCL: Hunter Departing
Hunter Departing

Twenty-Sixth Day of the Eight Month 292 AC

The docks are packed today as one of no small fame is due to set sail. The Hunter's Moon sits at anchor, pulling at its line with what almost seems to be impatience. Its mast has been mended, its sail and rigging put to rights, its motley crew is all-but-gathered. First among then of course is its newly empowered captain who now flies with the pride that befits an empress, dozens of eyes upon her every move. Quite a few vague hopes had grown abruptly more definite, and a great many more were sparked. The jest about the taverns is that she could pay her crew in gifts from "admirers" rather than plunder, though you know for a fact she would never do that. Moonsong is far too vain to sell any gift offered for something as base as coin. She values trophies gained by sighs as much as by swords.

Whether or not any of the hopefuls were so rewarded from their efforts is, oddly enough, not something you can say. Oh, there are rumors aplenty, but none you would care to lend credence to. You can only hope that means she took your words regarding discretion to heart. The last thing you need is duels in the street for her company like bravos do to catch the eye of a famous courtesan. You smile faintly at the thought. At six-and-ten you would be more expected to fighting such duels than worrying about preventing them.

"Do you think the minotaurs will do well so far from your sight?" you ask Ser Richard who is standing close by and looking on just as you are.

"They are no worse than half the fighting men I know," he answers, his eyes passing over the four massive horned figures on the galley's deck. "Quicker to anger, but they can hold their drink a good deal better."

"I'm not sure if that's praise for the minotaurs or an indictment on most men to take up arms," you reply in jest. After a moment you add, "I hope Theon does well. He deserves it for the courage of going out on the sea again considering..." You give the sparkling waters of the Narrow Sea a suspicious look.

"He'll have some familiar faces," Dany hisses from where she is lazing on your shoulder in her quicksilver form. "There must be more than a dozen other Ironborn besides who took berth on the Hunter. Something about sailing on the ship taken from the lord who broke the Iron Fleet. They are rather disappointed he is not here to see them off."

"As entertaining as that would be to watch, I've better use for Stannis Baratheon," you snort.

"As treasure? He is hardly pretty enough..." Dany's playful tone grows more serious as she adds, "We should probably move him out of the tower. I'm not sure how healthy long term habitation is for him, particularly if he has any sensitivity to magic..."

You give her a startled look. "The man seems as magical as..." You can't even think of a terms of comparison until your gaze falls on some of the cargo being moved aboard the Hunter's Moon, "A barrel of salt cod."

"Even so, I would rather have him somewhere else so shadows do not fill his dreams," Dany replies. "Baratheon blood is ancient in its own right and he bears some of ours besides."

Do you move Stannis out of the Tower?

[] No

[] Yes
-[] Write in any extra precautions (optional)

OOC: I decided to give this a proper vote since there are IC concerns to present.

See no problem putting Stannis in the keep and Hestior should easily be able to both serve him and keep him mostly contained along with normal security measures.

Besides, will let us interact with our cousin more often.:p

Lya should have learned Mage's Private Sanctum by now, right? I know it was on her to-do list after she got the wights up and running...

[X] Yes
-[X] Keep in areas warded by Taena only, a Raven construct should watch him 24/7 (let the constructs work iin shifts if they get bored (why did we make them that smart again?)) and report absence immediatly, besides regular guards as appropriate
-[X] Otherwise treatment as fitting for a noble prisoner, chance to wash, decent food, offer books, etc.
-[X] Daavos may only visit him under oversight, do not leave the two alone to plan anything

I'm slightly worried that an old smuggler might have some ideas how to escape, but then again we have the hairs and it's difficult to stop the construct from noticing the flight immediatly, even if it happens.

Let's hope talking with the Lich works (and he doesn't immediately go murderrage on hearing a Valyrian).

Nothing to see here, we are definetly not having Stannis as a test subject. Totally not seeing how our hybridized Durrandon-Baratheon cultivar stands up to Shadow or generally arcane influences.

...

Do you guys think Teana would like to write a paper on this? :V

[X] No

<Mad science laugher in the distance.>

@Artemis1992, we made them smart so that they can better carry out more general orders and don't need to be programmed by prattling off a very specific sets of commands every time they are to do a sweep of the sea around a ship or similiar tasks.

In all practicality the same vote

Full body hugs. One of the many advantages of being a dragon.

Its also pretty funny to imagine future* dragon Viserys trying to do this. Maybe hell build a big pillar covered in blankets to wrap around.

Or a normal bed.

Hm... I just noticed. Is Dany a quicksilver wyrmling? Cause that's a offshoot of the silver dragon family (in pathfinder)

Edit: Looked around. Mercury dragon. Chaotic good, and on the rascally end at that. They are still good, and still qualify are still listed under metallic dragons.

Dany is still a human, it's just that quicksilver wyrmling is her preferred dragon form.

She also likes to be in dragon forms in general a lot more than Viserys, which probably has a lot to do with how she acts more like a young dragon than she does a child.

Pretty much this. I can't even begin to track the number of updates where Dany just lounges around Viserys' neck in a quicksilver wyrmling form. It's basically second nature at this point.

I hope Lya uses us as a warm shawl on occasion. That bit when we kept her warmish in the storm in lamentation was incredibly cute :)

We probably shouldn't keep stannis locked in our tower like a sterotypical dragon and his princess no matter how funny the idea is. If stanssis asks why we are taking him out, say that we fimd that tale to be tiresome. :p

But I won't be surprised if he gets teleported out on us. If that happens. Sigh. Hassle.

We should have some of his hair by now, yeah?

I'm pretty certain that Dany will discover her polymorph class feature by waking up as a wyrmling one morning and being surprised when she can't change back to human.

We have a Maelor level up to do btw, and we haven't got the xp for the fleet or the bug head fight, outside of waymar and garins missing 5xp (no pesants died to bring you this level up!)

Not really the same vote, though with the same intent.

Instead of just trusting Teana's wards, which we have no mechanical understanding of at all, adding Mage's Private Sanctum adds that much more protection. The spell's function is specific and quite powerful, with a duration long enough that Lya need only cast it once per 24 hours.

With Minotaur guards, they are actually able to interfere with an escape attempt, whereas the Construct Ravens can only report on it once it has begun.
