+1Because one, it wasn't luck, it was an anti-brute countermeasure. Two, Samantha's combat ability is all about melee weapons ad hand-to-hand. And the latter of which means she'll just get tased again if she tries it.
I'm pretty sure non-lethal Solar Wrath is non-radioactive.3. Given we won't have access to Solar Wrath unless we enter the Recursion Field,
Runs into the tiny issue of the radioactive explosion that happens once the beat hits something.
Regarding Ragnarök, all I'll say right now is that I really really really want you to shoot one with it. What happens next I find hilarious, and I give you my solemn word that it isn't a "mwahaha evil QM" hilarious. I think a lot of you would enjoy it, too.
Friendly reminder-quote for those yet to voteAren't you curious?
There is some unknown secret to the Flare Mana-Conversion we didn't learn when we avoided fighting Lung...
Behemoth emerged in the middle of Kharkiv and roared. "Let's get ready to RRRUMBLE!!!"If we throw an actual nuke at Behemoth out of a Recursion Field we'd just be doing his job for him.
Behemoth emerged in the middle of Kharkiv and roared. "Let's get ready to RRRUMBLE!!!"
But then he looked around confusedly. "What... What's happened here? Why is everything on fire already? We didn't even start fighting! Hm, I smell something in the air... Lethal dose of radiation? But that's my shtick! How... Who..."
Finally he found the perpetrator, a girl in a witch hat, who argued with Eidolon about something.
Behemoth sobbed. "Dadversary! How could you?! We had so much fun together, and now what? You're suddenly replacing me with some magical girl?! Firstly Ziz got obsessed with these stupid cartoons, now you too? How could you?!"
He ran away in tears.
Not to mention, unless we can somehow selectively drag just them into Recursion Field, we'll be unable to use lethal Solar Wrath, maybe Solar Wrath entirely.
Theses are interesting assumptions. But even if we don't go for this we still can't use Solar Wrath without setting up the block on fire, lethal or not.
*huffffffffff*Anyways, @Silently Watches do we vote for what scenario we want then on how we do it (spells and how to use them) or is this the only vote till next chapter?
No. She knows a little bit from watching TV, but about as much as you'd expect from someone who's never used a gun before.@Silently Watches, Sam is specialized in sword/melee fighting, but I assume that in her programming there's basic knowledge of how to use a gun, right?
Like Rust Shooter, it would affect number.@Silently Watches, would a Cartridge-charged version of Temporal Sludge increase things like duration, range of effect, and intensity of effect?
Solar Wrath is only radioactive when set to lethal. I know I've mentioned this before.Runs into the tiny issue of the radioactive explosion that happens once the beat hits something.
You might want to check that warning again. I never said that Taylor would lose any time she fought them, just that it would happen if she tried one specific thing.2. We know from the last fight's QM warning that Taylor going up against even two of the Dragonslayers would end badly for her.
Abso-frigging-lutely. Remember, Nanoha is a setting with bombardment specialists. If the enemy is too heavily armored for the bruisers to squash them, set your artillery after them.+1
I think the best way of defining Samantha and others of that archetype (Faaaaate), is that she's a lightning bruiser that's utterly devastating against soft targets that she can close in on, but loses to hard targets and kiting.
Please remember, to teleport someone we need:(Actually, why not take the opportunity to teleport her to a different dimension entirely, even if she escapes her bonds she will be trapped there until we come back to get her)
Why have people forgotten that Recursion Field is specifically designed to trap mages? It won't drag Saint and his buddies in at all, just their mage, seeing as they are all unpowered normies.
If we cast that then Taylor and Samantha can 2v1 the mage, have Samantha teleport the mage off somewhere else (Actually, why not take the opportunity to teleport her to a different dimension entirely, even if she escapes her bonds she will be trapped there until we come back to get her) and tie her down or something, then come back and fight Saint if he's still hanging around.
While I do want to grab Saint, I really don't want them to have a mage for any longer than we can let them, I don't want them to get any stronger than they already are.
Once their mage is trapped we can use any spell we damn well please, up to and including Rangarok if we felt like it.
After Cadejo I am very skeptical about the ability of Solar Wrath's non-lethal abilities to break powered armor.I'm pretty sure non-lethal Solar Wrath is non-radioactive.
Or you don't even consider the possibility of taking them alive?
Are you confused? Please remember, to teleport someone we need:
1. Get within 10 feet of them.
2. Stand still for several seconds.
3. Get them to stand still for several seconds.
So, I see only two way to use teleport against enemy: defeat enemy first, then teleport them (but why, if they're already defeated?) or persuade them to go with you voluntarily (ha-ha)
Any damage we do inside the Recursive Field is reverted once it is dropped. We could drop a literal nuke in there and it would be A-Ok.You really seem to hate Philadelphia if you want to nuke it. You yourself posted that only the mage would end up inside the Recursive Field. So after taking down the mage we have no way to trap Saint inside it (unless he is the mage which would have been funny) and no way to cast Ragnarok without collateral damage if we want to use it on Dragonslayers. The PRT might be a little miffed if we nuke a city while the Truce is in effect
.
My tactic if we end up fighting the Dragonslayers is:
1. Temporal Sludge on them. If we can get all of them good, if not focus on the mage (hoping they didn't switch power suits) to lower their response speeds.
2. Cartridge enhanced barrage of Rust Shooter while their reaction time is slowed. If possible use multiple trajectories.
3. If we have time on the Temporal Sludge still use Blitz Rush to change position and fire a second barrage of Rust Shooters on a different heading. Most shield spells are directional in Nanoha (I have seen at least a couple of times when a shielded mage got hit by a sucker punch from a shooting spell on a guided trajectory)
4. After the Sludge effects end we will have hopefully at least damaged their suits (maybe disabled their exposed parts responsible for flight) so we will have Samantha harass the mage while we focus on the non mages.
5. Surprise them by going close range with a Blitz Rush and Flare Blade. Everyone knows we are a blaster so all the plans Dragonslayers must have made for us probably take into account a standard brute/blaster duo with the blaster having some brute rating. I don't think we have used Flare Blade in a combat situation. If we can charge it with a cartridge it might be enough to take down one of them by surprise. If we are lucky and got Saint the others might panic. Especially if we manage to penetrate the pilot compartment and they don't know our attack is non-lethal. This might only work once but if it works we gain a huge advantage and they have to shift tactics in the middle of combat which even for experienced and trained troops can take time.
If those 5 points can be completed and there are only 3 enemies we will end up with a 2v2 fight with our opponents in damaged suits and with one of them down that they might want to protect/retrieve if they think they have a chance of surviving our attack.
