If it has wings and better INT it's propably Half-fiend, look out for magic and resistances from that cow.

I wonder if he would make for useful grafts? A Half-fiend might not have the necessary "oomph", though.

Sure would be nice if our Tower has a Fleshforge in the basement.

@Azel: If we expect a longer fight - RS would force him to hover. If he cannot, he must stand on the inside of the sphere until we dispel it.
Haste speed applies to all movement modes.
If it's over with one fireball, this preparation is overkill, of course.

Fireball 3 + CHA mod 6 -> 9 + 1d20 against SR.
A Minotaur Half-Fiend would be CR 6, which seems reasonable and have 16 SR.

So 7+ beats his SR.

You are confusing DC with caster level checks.

We have an effective CL of 12 with fire spells, so we need to roll at least a 4 to beat SR 16. In other words, 85% chance of success

fyi: Lesser geas is Bard or Sorcerer/Wizard and CL11
Okay, neat, but I was more asking for the Contract of Nepthas with the idea of having Person X sign a document they literally can't understand (but still makes sense in another language they don't know), but still be bound by the effect. It would be less of a binding tool, and more as an aid to the "test a person's resistance to demonic deals" by way of having anyone who did make a deal become instantly cursed, thus both identifying them and making it easy to put them down.

Plus, lesser geas has a duration, and the Contract doesn't.

Was talking about mechanics - clerics get their spells, wizards have to find them, and at the moment none of our sorcerer/wizards does have geas, lesser. CL11 would mean a single-class caster having level 11, or a multi-class effective level 11 in the class used to create the contract.

Another use (although it little expensive): as a teaching tool to train the diabolic approach to contracts and oaths.

[X] Try to hold him fast in a sphere of force as an object lesson of your power

I have hopes it will surrender once it sees how useless strenght alone is against a decent caster.

From the way DP wrote him, I got the impression he's more the 'backstabb when opportunity shows' type (see ball of meat).

Lya gets two spells every new spell-level from Bloodraven. And Lesser Geas is level 4 spell, which she gets next level.

Eh, they showed more weakness than we would to the hired help.

A naturally CE dumb beast with bloodlust tendencies is difficult to control. A half-fiendish one is not worth the effort.

I just wanted regular minotaurs. And I also wanted to scare the absolute fuck out of them by roasting their leaders.

This guy doesn't look like the type of CE meat shield slash action excuse we are looking for. He seems more like a liability waiting to happen.

It's worth 3600. We're selling it in Molten Skies for important crafting materials.

This bears reiteration.

The spear is worth far more as currency on the Plane of Molten Skies than as a pointy stick for Viserys to poke things with like a muggle. Any situation in which Viserys could even reasonably use the thing, he would be better served simply relying on his claws, fangs, and breath weapon. Or, you know, his magic.

We need about twenty more of those chains. -_-
Calm emotions amulets. Something to ask DP about. And bloodrage control training.

Viserys and weapons:
Amulet of Mighty Fists or
Necklace of Natural Weapons: The enhancement bonuses on this necklace are applied to attack and damage rolls involving one or more of the wearer's natural weapons. In addition, any weapon special quality may be applied to this necklace, and the quality then applies to those natural weapons as well. For instance, a +1 throwing returning necklace of natural weapons would apply its enhancement bonus and the throwing and returning special abilities to one or more of the wearer's natural weapons.
Caster Level: 3rd; Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, Craft Magic Arms and Armor; Market Price: 600 gp, plus the cost of the enhancement bonuses, multiplied by the number of natural weapons affected. A +1 necklace of natural weapons that affects one natural weapon costs 2,600 gp; if the same necklace affects six natural weapons, it costs 15,600 gp. Weight:/
