Literally every SI that does the adult thing and tells the heavily compromised government they know is very porous to Danzo->Kabuto->Sasori and Orochimaru is in a story that is about to die because that action kills almost every SI story with that premise. Each of the major Naruto OC/SI stories is either far from canon, killing it in the cradle rather than when it's a teenager kicking and screaming and biting as you try to drag it off in the party van, or doesn't tell Hiruzen, because that almost always murders the narrative tension instead.

I was going to argue but...It's 4 am in the morning. So I'm going likely going to bed now. If people haven't started already listing the reasons why when I'm asleep, then I will get right on that.
So, let's see. The major counter-arguments are:
1) The government (ie the Hokage) is compromised. I would like evidence of that, and, furthermore, evidence that, if told about Danzo, and Danzo's special brainwashing eye, Hiruzen would not take appropriate precautions to at least verify the claim. Especially when confronted with other OCP pieces of knowledge. Basically, what it comes down to: do you think Danzo is a badass enough dude to take on and defeat Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Third Hokage? I don't think so.
2) That Hiruzen is a ruthless and pragmatic person who would do unspeakably bad things to us for... reasons, I guess, as a response to us giving him priceless intelligence and showing him, as a leader, a lot of trust, ie demonstrating the very essence of the Will of Fire. I, respectfully, completely disagree with this, given his established character. If he was willing to condone doing terrible things for us in effort to maybe gain more power? Orochimaru would never have been made to run from the village. If he was "ruthless and pragmatic" Naruto would have been raised completely differently.

This is the kind of meta-argument I completely disagree, and, well, there are stories where SI tells everything and the story doesn't die. For example.

Ah, the quantifier that they can never get a key to compare it to. They probably wouldn't make much progress without any form of key I will give you that, but they should be able to develop a key over time. This could be from finding pieces of translated messages, pulling it out of captives, extrapolating based off known actions taken, and so on. The code couldn't be widespread without the proliferation of things that can serve as at least partial keys.
Are you referring to the encoding the Nazis used? The code was made by using the enigma machine from my understanding. I will admit that when I said "made by hand" I actually meant entirely by hand, which rules out a lot of proven coding methods that require a specialized (but often simple) tool.
The US used Native Americans speaking in their obscure languages to send secure messages in WWI and WWII.

Ach, I started typing out a many-paged essay on my personal opinion about spilling the beans and various stuff using CMB as an example of how it pulls the story down and tears out a significant part of the drive behind the premise but realized it was dumb. This is the core of what's left after I pared it down very very very hard...
I haven't actually voted in this quest in a while but hey:

Could you pick a worse example? Geez. That particular story has continued updates but lives in a mire of pointlessness, patting itself on the back for featuring non-heterosexual relationships and nonbinary people, and nonsense arcs devoid of impetus designed to give the SI affirmation about her own correctness and moral judgement. There's a difference between 'having updates' and 'being a living/good story'.
I haven't actually voted in this quest in a while but hey:

You know; reading the update I can't help but think about what people will think about Hisana's actions once the dust settles.
First off she is the only person to notice what happened and realize what is going on. Secondly instead of panicking or whatnot she instantly assumes command, directs Sasuke to care for the injured student and retrieve backup, and heads off, with Naruto as support, to ensure Mizuki can't escape. Thirdly she successfully rescues Sakura before engaging and manages to kill her enemy, who given the curse mark was likely Chunin level. Finally she, going by how the vote is trending, severely weakens the assault force just in time for the reinforcements she arranged to finish them off.
That right there is an impressive display of leadership, strategic thinking, and combat ability. Basically she ticked off every box they look for in new Chunin.

One thing I wish to note is that trenchcoat's comment "get things back on track" does not necessarily mean 'get canon back on track'. It might mean 'get our plan back on track'. If you reincarnated as a random starving person in the middle of a war-strewn deathworld, getting an in with a mad scientist fond of giving people experimental superpowers might well be preferable to ensuring a prophetic status quo. In that case, removing any abberation is useful as it makes your prophecy much more profitable.
So Hisana's first kill is a special jounin-class dude with a chakra signature stronger than curse seal Mizuki? Looks like our Notoriety is going UP, which is really not a good thing.

The comment about aberration suggests that someone(s) else have access to a picture of canon, and are using it to plan their moves.
Hence the attempt to kidnap the girl who had the skill to become an S-class medic in three years. And eliminate obvious foreign artifacts like Hisana.

So it turns out that I and @Oh I am slain! were right to worry about the powerups we were given access to, and what it implied for the greater universe.
So apparently, Mizuki was working with Orochimaru like in canon, or someone with Orochimaru-level curse seal fuckery.
And like I pointed out, other people found the A-rank medical technique using Sakura valuable enough to kidnap.
There is(was?) also at least one English-speaking SI who has been active for several years.
Or there is an entire country out there that speaks English.
I think it's safe to assume that the Narutoverse beyond the walls of Konoha has been butterflied HARD.

1) I would suggest you check what Shisui's eye is capable of in canon, especially when hooked up to a Senju DNA chakra reactor.
Danzo mindfucked Mifune with it in canon, and no one saw shit; they only put it together later from circumstantial knowledge.
Even a vanilla Kotoamatsukami is powerful enough to break the control of a boosted Edo Tensei, as seen when it freed Itachi.
2) You do remember that Hiruzen is the dude who talked to the Hyuuga about delivering a body to Kumo, right?That ripped out his own soul for victory over Orochimaru? Will of Fire or not, one does not fight and win three world wars without a strong pragmatic streak.
And Danzo is right there with a hidden Sharingan; whatever Hiruzen balks at for reasons of ethics or utility, you can be damn sure Danzo will dive into head first.
3) I think you are ignoring a lot of the preconditions for why revealing future knowledge worked in Catch Your Breath.

But yeah, I think its safe to say that canon is pretty much gone, if he was working and giving info to Orochimaru. We'll have to make do with protag level training rates as our cheat instead.
Also, we have Canon knowledge at C rank, so I'm personally expecting people with B,A or S Rank canon knowledge to be running around. That's not to say the knowledge is useless even with butterflies tho. It does give us a baseline on the secrets and abilities of the major players, after all.

And genjutsu, since Sharingan genjutsu and fuinjutsu are the only two things I am aware of in canon that defeated Edo Tensei without requiring suicide and an afterlife of torment.

It's called Final Hurricane for a reason; I'd like to keep at least one trump underneath our headband for the future if at all possible.
I don't put it beyond whoever we're dealing with to have someone watching and reporting in.
1) Again, do you think that Hiruzen Sarutobi, when forewarned about the specific danger Danzo's eye represents, would still have no counter to it? Clones, body doubles, puppets, seals, etc, all exist.
2) So yes, you are saying that Danzo completely outclasses Hiruzen Sarutobi, and even forewarned Sarutpbi has no chance against him and is completely under Danzo's control.
3) "It's not paranoia if they are actually after you" is, in fact, false, if you cannot distinguish who "they" are and behave irrationally and contrary to your own best interest because of that. The best action against a conspiracy is to place it in the open.
