@Teen_Spirit are we locked into bad relationship with sisters because of the prophecy ? cause i want to Rhae to realize that prophecies show possibility not destiny.

If the guy who was basically willing to risk his head to make us a proper warrior is telling us that we're good where we are on that front than I'm inclined to oblige him. Would rather focus on mastering an additional skill now that we've mastered Prowess, like law or economics.

one training action every other turn is doable, and i think it leaves enough time for law and poetry studies.
i've always been fond of the warrior-poet archetype, and Rhaenyra has the chance to get to Barristan levels of good if we try.
i also want to be able to reliably put Daemon in the dirt with nothing but a training sword, even if he has Dark Sister 😤

Onto the Dream I think so genuinely that Dorne war would be the mosfun option, and trcks with the incredibleinfluence Tarly has on us. and wins us a lot of allies. We pull haalf the rach and most of the Stormlnds if we're seen as the Conquerorof Dorne or the Vehicle by which they can conquer it.
Baaad idea, gonna be dragging us into a forever war. If we wanna bring Dorne into the fold, our best bet is marriage.

Scratched our Dilligent-itch with studying THE LAW under Lord Strong, bettering our poems to Alicent, improving our dragon riding (which is gonna be more relevant than swordfighting in any war we fight as a dragonrider) - lots of possibilities!

As we're trying to be reigning queen, not just a lady knight, we should opt out of trying to be a legendary warrior. There's a lot of other stuff we need to at least comprehend. For example, laws. We did choose to get a Small Council seat, with Strong already giving us the opportunity to learn from him too. Moreover, wars also involve strategizing & tactics, which we haven't tried to seriously learn yet.

Also, since we have a lot on our plate anyway (like trying to curb whatever disaster we're going to contribute involving Aelora), opting out would help our action economy too. We'll still be training enough to be as we are now - one of the greatest swordfighter in the realm.

The first I believe is needed to understand that Destiny is not something written on stone that cannot be changed. That even Prophecies can fail to account the countless actions ever shaping the world

And I totally want her to have a good relationship with her sisters.

Yes, the father who passed on the Prophecy of Ice and Fire, who knows well your family has the occasional vision and prophetic dream.

Misplaced doubt is misplaced.
@Teen Spirit , I do think Breadnaugt has a point here. Now, it's absolutely understandable that right there in the moment, while Rhaenyra is freaking out about the sister thing, she absolutely would see it as something she can't tell anyone about because it's so goddamn freaky to realize you've had a true prophetic dream. So I'm not in any way criticizing the character reaction you wrote, which made sense. But in the longer run, I feel like our Rhaenyra maybe could talk to her dad about it, if the right circumstances ever arose, in principle.

Am I missing something here?

We just gained a trait about not leaving things half finished. We're not the best warrior yet but we will be.

Prophecy is a fool's game. Canonically, it ruined Rhaegar, and I could see it doing the same to us. We already have enough stress issues. I don't doubt it's real but I think worrying about it too much will make us spiral before our time. I'd rather prepare for the future by gaining skills and allies.

I want to prove we're the best at what we do, and either prowess or conquest will do it.

I am really conflicted on the one hand i want her to become the most skilled fighter ever but, the rational side of my brain is telling me that another skill would cruical down the line such as warcraft, leadership and administraton

The cool thing about Rhaenyra law giver is that unlike the Onion Justices she could not just draw badass punishments, but also personally implement them. We basically did with Arnold

I don't believe we are. I think if we put in some work and understand the prophecy better with my write in goal for specifically that purpose we might be able to stop and work to over come this before the rejection part of the prophecy can become something irrevocable.

It's already making Rhaenyra spiral. It's not like Rhaegar and his obsession with being the one to make the prophecy of 3 dragons and ice and fire come to pass. Rhaenyra's phrophecy is going to be part of her life for years. Sticking her head in the sand and being slapped in the face with it every time she sees her sister and feels abject terror accomplishes nothing.

Indeed. We have an arrangement to be groomed for lord of Laws, which is a fine title to shift our focus too. Freeing up some time for that is just good sense.

Now that I'm fully awake I have to advise against studying the Higher Mysteries. A recurring theme of ASOIAF is that magic is decidedly unsafe and always has a price. Also, it would make our reputation worse.
