[X] Visiting the musician disciples, the little troupe she had helped to bring together.

I love Su Ling and Li Suyin but I also want to see these guys before we go haring off on more adventures.

As much as I want to get them to bond five, I think the musicians are the ones whose bonds we most need to shore up before we leave

I'm always in favor of giving Yu Nuan more screentime, even if I like the original vent duo.
This is a good chance to learn how "common" sect cultivators percieve all this summit business. Bian Ya is from a central viscount clan, Ruan Shen from a borderish baron clan and Yu Nuan and Ma Yun are with different circumnstances. We have a good mesh of perspectives here.

Also, it would be really neat if this makeshift group coalesced into a proper club/organisation for all Inner Sect Music Cultivators, like we did with Wang Chao's gatherings.
I remember they were at first reticent about performances, thinking it would be just a chaotic mess because each musician would just play their own thing. A very Dreaming Moon point of view. And yet Ling Qi roped not only them but other disciples into the ES founding play for great success.
Yu Nuan and Ling Qi have certainly benefited from the more technical methods their seniors have taught them about music crafting. It would be nice if Music Cultivators had an established place to discuss and learn from each other, rather than one each going on their own.
That would be Ling Qi's second legacy in the Sect. Firmly setting her influence.

Well, we've got this one on our menu currently.

Plus even a Bao Qian one! Though I suspect we'll be passing it over with other, more directly summit-related priorities.

The thing with doing something with Yu Nuan is, well, she's joining our clan, but she's staying at the sect for the time being. Years, if nothing changes. That doesn't mean we won't see her at all, we're not that far away after all and members of the Inner Sect will visit their clans for various reasons. But there's two major shifts in the relationship going on here at once: closeness, she's becoming family, and distance, we're moving out of the sect and she isn't.

It's something happening now and that warrants more attention than it has gotten, imo.

Unless a new Personal Action shows up, we'll have to choose at least one of them. Since we are in Summit crunch time it's all but certain we'll exchance a Personal for a Professional.
Both of those options sound like "preparations for after the Summit" to me.

Golden Roads doesn't seem something fit to do now. It's the kind of thing we want to sit down and thoroughly think about when we aren't occupied with another hundred urgent matters. Any decision we may reach is also highly dependant in the Summit's result and fief development. So it would be kind of pointless to discuss course of actions now.

On the other hand, House of Ling strikes me as something more immediately useful. Necessary, even. After the Summit is successful we'll have a ton of nobles of all stripes and ranks trying to gain information and forge relationships with us. They'll want to visit Snowblossom and reach trade agreements and more. We need to have our household infraestructure ready before that.
"Increases efficacy of your information network. Prerequisite for further growth in the provinces lower nobility" it says.
There is no better argument

Yeah. I'm not expecting any real dividends among the lower nobility from the summit, since we're unlikely to be able to affect any material changes in anyone's immediate circumstances.

But we really want the capacity to properly receive clout in place before the post-summit campaigns against the ith-ia.

House of Ling is related to the Muntain Halls/Garden of Sinners vote. That's why it increases our spy network.

Ling Qi hummed in agreement, the first part of deepening the connections she had made was more face to face meetings. She'd pick out a few from among the foundations, the ones offering the most sincere advice on operations. A little meeting, a little tour as they set up, accepting well wishes and showing good will.

A minor project, she could maybe even involve her family, meet them at the sect and then travel here?. Let Mother cut her teeth on guests less intimidating than comital scions. Plans and plans, so many things to do, so little time. And right now, she had another small task to see too, one more thing she could squeeze in before Hanyi arrived. One which thankfully, would allow her to treat her time as a little bendable.

House of Ling: While you are immensely busy with the dealing of nations, you must also begin thinking of your own house. Perhaps not right this instant, but soon. You have begun to accrue offers and invitations from your contacts, and soon you will expected to host guests and conduct talks yourself. There is also the matter of your staff, their training and perhaps even cultivation. (Increases efficacy of your information network. Prerequisite for further growth in the provinces lower nobility. Characters: Ling Household, Ling Qingge and Biyu.)

The summit preparation and Wang Lian are how we will increase our Wang rep, but House of Ling is how we will approach the Foundations. So it's mandatory, imo, since Mountain Halls' events only apply to T17 and T18.
