More votes for Spiral Consuming Seal would be greatly appreciated.
Before we run into the current user of Edo Tensei, or his agents.

[x] Sealing Art: Spiral Consuming Seal. This method of sealing creates a scroll capable of sealing away a technique, though it is costly to use and equally costly to unseal the technique - this is a defensive seal, not a fully functioning 'jutsu scroll'. It is, however, more general than Jiraiya's Fire Sealing Method.

I'm not really convinced that Tsunade's strength technique will play well with Senjutsu, which I see as a higher priority.

In hindsight, switching.

More votes on Chakra Burst Network would be appreciated, so we have more strength to bring to fight.
1)If you look at our character sheet, our primary combat modality is Kenjutsu: Iaido
Kenjutsu: 190 [A-Rank]

  • Leaf Style: 120 [B-Rank] [KEN + LS + 1.25*STR +1.25* SPD]
  • Iaido: 125 [B-Rank] [KEN + IA + 0.75*STR + 2*SPD]
  • Ninkenjutsu: 20 [D-Rank]
It mostly keys off Speed, not Strength.

2)We can get A-rank Strength now by spending 65 points to go from 85 to 150.
We would have to spend 160 points for S-rank Storage Seals.
Citation
  • Storage Seals: 130 [B-Rank]
  • Explosive Seals: 70 [B-Rank][MAX]
  • Touch Seals: 40 [C-Rank]
  • Camo Cloak Style Sealing: 25 [D-Rank]
========
Strength: 85 [B-Rank]

We're also only 10 points off of A-rank Sealing, which could also offer the Spiral or the Burst. We have no real way of knowing if any of these will become options again.

As always with questing- if you want an option vote for it when it comes up. Promises of 'later' are always empty because 'later' is never guaranteed.

Just vote for what you like the most.

The chakra burst seal also increases our durability in combat. It's also more consistent in battle. The absorb chakra seal seems like a trump card. Since anything we redirect is going to cost us twice the original caster. If we need a defense we might as well just invest in elemental justsu seals or developing chakra armor more. With the jutsu seals we can put down the opposite element as a defense for less of a cost.

The only time I can imagine using the absorb seal is if we have no other choice but to block. In the case of an AOE we have armor, in the case someone is as fast if not faster then is we can't pull it out in time. So that leaves to defending someone or something we can't just carry.

It's cap is also a problem in my opinion. It requires the same amount of chakra as casting the absorbed jutsu if I'm not mistaken. Its something we don't wanna use against someone with more chakra then us.

We could use Strength, and its a nice flex, but Strength is not a core part of our build.

It is. Every sword fight involves strength, because the opponent will keep his sword in a position to prevent your attack unless you have the strength to overcome his guard. I don't mean in the video game style, 'blocking forces them to clash with your sword' interaction. I mean in terms of a realistic, raw and skill based interaction between swordsmen, where interactions of the sword involve a key moment of mutual attack, or a faint and a riposte, which usually comes down to a contest of physical ability. A pushing aside of the sword, or a knocking to the side, or to push through a guard, or to get close and dominate with limbs or hands.

I had this same thought and consideration today on the metro. I was thinking 'in what way can a person win a sword duel if all things are equal, but they are physically weaker than the opponent?' I imagined some interactions but in all of them, the sword was in the way, and the weaker party would be stopped by the immovable wall that is the opponent's guard, leaving them exploitable.

In sword duels, there are many actions and reactions, considerations, and scenarios that occur, and there are answers to certain events that are decisive and required, and a lot of them require the strength to succeed. Not being able to do those things leads to certain loss in those scenarios. Things like sticking into the opponent's guard when necessary, deflecting the movement of the sword when necessary, striking strongly without the opponent being able to turn you aside, etc.

The guy i posted advice from in an earlier post is widely considered one of the best sword duelists in history, and i can open any page of his book and look at a paragraph of his advice, and he will say something to the effect of 'strike strongly' or 'control the enemy' or 'throw off their attack'. None of this can be achieved if you are weaker than the enemy.

Here is another random example i saw when referring to his book:

Maybe my point has drifted to an extreme of being irrelevant in terms of the quest mechanics. But i can't help but think of this realistically, and also wonder how the narrative will turn out when hisana faces someone who can match her speed and skill, but is more physically capable.

IRL strength is used in a swordfight but the question we should be asking is if it does in quest in terms of mechanics. If it does then strength would also deal with speed and we'd be able to burst leg strength if we went by IRL instead of mechanics.

I've voted strength already but this is a genuine question from me.

Edit: Ok checked it does somewhat increase our sword styles by 0.75str.

Another thing to consider is that because hisana focusses on speed, she is all but guaranteed to run into opponents stronger than her based on a comparison of stats, so being able to pick up this vote option will be an instant way of levelling that playing field without the needed investment in strength, potentially freeing her to further invest in speed, and fight (even more powerful) people with her speed and strength equalized.

1) Yes, A-rank seals.
Which go into Chakra Capacity or Speed, which are our primary combat stats.

2)Yes they do recur where appropriate.
This is not the first time we've had Elemental Seals show up as a voting option.

Point of correction: No it doesnt.
Strength has nothing to do with durability for us. Our durability keys off our reactive armor seals.
But thats secondary to our Speed translating to dodge.

Quest mechanics.
Speed >>>> Strength, at least for the type of kenjutsu we have primarily used.

Our primary sword style is Iaido.
That keys off Speed, which is why we spent so much effort pumping Speed to our highest single stat(230).
Compare Leaf Style and Iaido:
Kenjutsu: 190 [A-Rank]
  • Leaf Style: 120 [B-Rank] [KEN + LS + 1.25*STR +1.25* SPD]
  • Iaido: 125 [B-Rank] [KEN + IA + 0.75*STR + 2*SPD]
  • Ninkenjutsu: 20 [D-Rank]

I wonder how much of a strength boost it would be?

Theoretically, even if the benefit is smaller than speed, if the boost to strength is large enough it wouldn't matter, and the benefit in a duel would be enormous. this would also combine with the speed benefits to make the kenjutsu stat pretty amazing.

Edit:
Also does Hisana switch to leaf kenjutsu after the initial sword strike? in that case kenjutsu would be more enhanced during extended confrontations such as in the case of duels.

It's a bit weaker than beginning of part 2 Sakura, which still likely puts it in the range of s-rank strength because Tsunade's strength technique is absurd.

The benchmark is "weaker than early Shippuden Sakura".
A-rank, or high B-rank.

For reference, this is the kind of damage 'early shippuden Sakura' does.

And by early I mean like literally right after Naruto gets back to Konoha at the start.

Nah, she just sheaths her sword again really fast.

"i would not want to lock swords with someone who is that strong but also as fast as me or faster" - Missing nin after seeing Hisana stomp her foot.

I was very gung-ho about speccing lightning bruiser by getting the strength enhancement, but the arguments in favor of beginning to learn how to nope some of the more deadly bullshit hax in the setting were persuasive.
