[X] What's Mitakihara Middle School like?

After a minute, Madoka's father brings out dinner. Madoka helps, of course. Looks like he made some Japanese styled Fried Rice. From the look of the bowl, there should be more than enough for everyone.

A quick thank-you later, and everyone's digging in.

You decide to make small talk. "So, how's Mitakihara Middle School?"

"It's quite nice!" Madoka replies. "The teachers are all helpful, too."

"Grueling!" Sayaka groans, homework still in her mind.

"I wouldn't say it's as bad as Sayaka here thinks," Mami chimes, "But sometimes the teachers are a bit... Fast paced."

"I must agree with Mami." Homura says plainly.

"Tatsuya colors!" Tatsuya adds.

"Do you, now?" Mami coos. "How wonderful!"

Tatsuya smiles widely.

"What about you, Yumi? What was your school like?" Sayaka asks.

[] It was school.
[] Being honest, I felt targeted.
[] No one messed with me, I didn't mess with anyone.
[] Write in?

Conversation goes on, and eventually, you must take your leave.

"Thank you all for coming!" Madoka's Dad says as you leave, "As long as I'm told earlier, come back anytime!" He finishes as he closes the door.

Sayaka, not wasting a second, waves goodbye and stampedes off.

"I'll see you all later, I suppose!" Mami calls, and begins her walk home.

Homura, however, takes you aside into an alleyway. "Firstly, here's your pipe back." She hands you the pipe you thought you were hiding in your jacket.

"How'd you-"

"Second, if you agree, I would like to see you home. Any enemy of Oriko is a friend to me. It would be a shame to have you hurt, or worse."

[] "Okay, sure. I'll lead the way."
[] "Thanks, but I need to be alone right now."
[] "Alright, new best friend!"
[] Write in...?

[X] Pretty good, when it wasn't on fire. (Refuse to elaborate.)

"My school was pretty good! When it wasn't, y'know, on fire." You reply.

Everyone, save Tatsuya, is now thoroughly confused.

"Wh... What?" Mami sputters.

"Hey, Homura, can you pass the soy sauce?"

"Here." She slides it over to you.

PRESENT

[X] Sure, wanna stay over? If I wanted to kill me, I'd do it in my sleep, but I'd think twice if there were two people! Besides, you never did get to finish explaining the situation to me due to all the interruptions. Like, for example, what did the shady plushy mean when it said that I'm an anomaly? And why was it talking like witches and magical girls are seperate things when the wannabe Oracle of Delphi said they are the same? And what are witches anyway? And…

"Sure!" You smile, and you begin walking. "Also, wanna stay over?"

"Hm?" Homura raises an eyebrow to your question.

"I mean, if I wanted to kill me, I'd do it in my sleep. I'd also think twice if there were two people there!"

"Sound logic." She replies. "But I-"

"And besides, you never did get to finish explaining the situation, being interrupted by seemingly everyone possible. For example..." You raise one finger, "...What did that shady plushie mean when he said "you're an anomaly"? Also," you raise a second finger, "Why was he, or she, or whatever talking like Magical Girls and Witches are separate things when the wannabe Oracle of Delphi said they were the same? Another thing," you raise a third finger, much to Homura's dismay, "What even are Witches? And-"

Homura, despite being a bit shorter than you, puts her hand on your mouth. "Please, one question at a time."

"Mmky," you try to say.

Homura removes her hand, sighing.

Before Homura can speak, however, you spot a small, black cat coming out of an alleyway.

"Cat!" You say, almost instantly.

"Amy?! I knew I forgot something!" Homura grumbles.

"Is it your cat, then?" You ask, walking to pick it up.

"Er... Madoka called it Amy once." She says quickly.

(D20 ROLL: 16)

She's lying, but you don't push her for now.

"So, what you're saying is this kitty's up for grabs?"

"I suppose?" Homura answers.

[] Take the kitty!
[] Give Homura the cat!
[] Present for Madoka?
[] Write in?

[X] Give Homura to the cat. That way she can protect the poor girl from plushies and their oracle-blender minion pairs!

"Here, you go with her!" You say, handing the cat to Homura.

She blinks, holding the small, black kitten. "If I must..." She carries Amy in her arms, smiling gently. You don't say you were talking to Amy.

Suddenly, someone speeds by on a car, very clearly going over the speed limit. If you hadn't noticed that poor cat, it could've been hit!

You refrain from yelling something putrid at the driver, albeit barely.

"That was..." Homura pauses, "...Exciting."

"Did you catch his plates?" You growl unintentionally.

"Unfortunately, no." She replies. "Let us continue."

Other than that, nothing of note happens on your walk. Eventually, you reach your destination. You double check the address that Dad sent you.

"This is...!" Homura whispers to herself.

"We're here, then! New home!" You say, ascending the staircase to the second floor of the apartment building.

"Yumi, we are going to your home, correct?"

"Yeah, we're here! Just need to unpack, and get my key from the neighbor." You explain, moving to your neighbor's door. "Let's see... She should be... Here!"

You knock. After a moment, you hear footsteps, and, soon after, the door opens.

"Yumi? Well, this is a surprise! Hello again!" Mami says, smiling. "Aww, what a cute cat, Homura!"
