Prince Aladdin Quest (Disney Villains *Almost* Victorious)

If they've actually forgotten about us that might also affect us trying to recruit Iago, since they'd have less reason to trust us with him.
You know, how I have an idea. Maybe in that timeline that girl, who freed sandwitches, fell in love with Jasmine, instead of Al?! :o

After reading reports:
practically adopting a young boy she encountered as her younger brother
Though, maybe this time that was a boy, not a girl.

Um... isn't this a call of cthulhu thing!?!
... nevermind. Now is a perfect time to panic.
Yep. Indeed. Exactly.
Guys, who in favor of quick space program under the motto "Screw that planet, we're out!"?

I like that one. Though, I'd prefer to switch Al's personal from Diplomacy to Stewardship or Martial, we have good Diplo Advisor, and our Mart and Stew... not as good, at least in term of numbers.
But you made a miscalculation here:
DC: 55 (+25 Scherezade+17 Aladdin=+42) DC 30
55-25-17=13

edit: [] Plan Birds, Snooping
Sorry, those two plans have similar names, and I made a mistake.

I believe that plan damages us economically.
As long as there is no other plan involving going to Agrabah. I am not budging.

I am more interested in narrative quality of the story. With the fiasco last turn and the concerning news about Agrabah along with no obvious direct threats to Ababwa in sight. It just feels Weird for Al to not visit Jasmine to at least check on her.

Hmmm... my thoughts.

Martial. We have a rare beast hanging around for 3 turns. That kinda locks in look for beasts for me.

Stewardship. I'd prefer to try the Agrabah trade agreement again just to get more connections to them especially with stuff definitely happening there. Not going to be a deal breaker if other people don't want it though.

Diplomacy. Iago. Just Iago.

Intrigue. Spys in Agrabah. We have to figure out what's happening there.

Learning. I'd go heart shaped herb myself but there are a lot of options and I'm not locked in on any of them in particular.

Occult. Honestly, I want golden afternoon. Everything else is basically look for more actions. I want to get something concrete. It will help our advisor and if we succeed we can take the talk to advisors personal and see if we can get them to reveal themselves and unlock some specialist traits. And no matter what I have faith that the benefits we would get from golden afternoon would be worth the cost.

Personal actions. Meh I'm not overly attached to any of them so no deal breakers here. The vist/correspond with Jasmine seem fairly important this round so here's hoping for good rolls whatever we pick.

DC 85. With +15 Sinbad and +11 Aladdin we need to roll 59+.
You want to have a chance to make things better. I understand your position. But didn't you think that another failure (that will be very likely even if omake-writers will add +15) will make things even worse? I don't think we desperate enough to bet on cointoss .

Yes? That's why I had the second part of what you quoted.

Edit:

Sigh. I'd prefer it if it went for golden afternoon but oh well.

Surprisingly close vote so far. Also, I'd like to thank each and every one of you that's been reading, voting and participating. I think this has been one of my most successful and well-received projects on this site so far. You're all absolutely brilliant people.

My biggest problem with Friends Close is the 15,000 Gold price tag for 'Golden Afternoon'. It's a useful action to be sure and we will want to do it eventually, but at the moment we simply don't have the gold reserves and income to pull it off.

Our current income is 8,500 and if you look at the majority of the 'cheaper' actions (aside from those that don't cost anything) they're in the 1000 to 2000 range. It would take ~3 turns not spending anything to get back the gold spent on GA with the upkeep increase, and we would be spending gold on various actions during that time.

On another matter:
@TempestK
Does sending heroes on adventures have any effect on them being able to do personal actions for the turn etc?

No problem.

It's got a really interesting premise as a setting, same as doofquest, but you've given it a different twist by making it classic and having the villains nearly win.

You've put effort and world building into it so it's fun and interesting to be involved in.

If they're sent on an adventure that burns up a personal action. It's not only the travel time involved, but also research beforehand, and recovery both mental and physical afterwards. I will add that to the Adventure infopost.

Thanks so much!

Figured it would be something like that. Like talking, adventures are not a free action.

Wait... why is plan keep your friends close doing cats in the cradle instead of looking for the rare beast that's only here for 3 turns?

If that's what you guys want to do, that's fine, no problem. I'm just curious what the reason is for it.

Had a thought. But all of the people in this setting/edition of DVV are relatively low-tech, all things considered. Exceptions exist yes, but even the Atlantis tech seems based on "magical crystals" of a sort, and isn't well understood by the people who utilize the tech nowadays.

With that said, are we, Ababwa, partially locked in terms of technology? Or are we able to achieve massive scientific and technological projects that would inevitably put us on par with factions from the Gridlocked edition? And if that's a yes... can enemy factions achieve the same if they so wish? My mind points towards Atlantis in that regard of course, since Maleficent and the Horned King for example are more likely to focus on magical rather than scientific pursuits.

Depends on if we manage to get our mitts on Gummi technology and/or Mechanicles's gear.
