[X] Agree, keeping your tone light and jesting, no need to remind anyone that some of those seated in this very hall must have once called you pirate and worse

Am curious how everyone is gonna take this. The guy is right but it's not really something these people would want to say here of all places. Then they see Viserys thinking it was funny.

Viserys thinks its funny because it's patently true.

And no one can say anything about it.

So they just have to dance to the left and right of the little tiny issue that the ruler of the Imperium used to be regarded as "Dread Pirate Sorcerer Dragon King" and just about any other name they could get to stick. As in, not the formal dictum of one ruler referring to another ruler, or as they do now, with graciousness or subservience, but like a grade schooler name calling someone during recess.

And how some had been encouraging or ignoring the "Viserys makes soup out of babies" stories, and others like it, not that long ago.

Or how Mace Fucking Tyrell missed a whole war with a hundred thousand troops because "a raven went missing".

His new banner should be a confused raven, for all he's been worth to us.

Where's my unwavering loyalty and support in the Curia, Mace? Where did you lose that?

Is it with the fucking raven?

[X] "Apologies, my peg leg and eye patch must have gone missing, along with Mace Tyrell's raven from back in the Usurper's War. Maybe we'll find both at the bottom of the Ruby Ford if we search hard enough."

Making this my formal vote after all:

[X] "Ah, what a lonely room this would be if I were not to associate with people just because they plotted to murder me once or twice..."

Ohhh, Earth Day rating. I barely have time to keep up with the thread and now I have to keep up with ratings too!

I'll never get bored here

Could we for once stop riding around on that raven?
It was funny the first few times.
I'm just gonna ask this straight up, since when has the thread hesitated to retread an ancient meme any more than they bandied about the same one over and over again?

We even dumped a few things on a meta level since they were no longer part of the thread zeitgeist, like "Burny".

Granted, dumping "Drowny" was more because he has been entirely irrelevant since Damphair.

So how are you guys liking the politics so far? Are the colorful blurbs working or are they distracting? Does this feel engaging and believable? I know this is a lot of sitting down and talking and really a lot of this institution building should have been done already rather than having to be done all at once .

I'm enjoying it so far. It's all just another aspect of forming and ruling the Imperium that we've created.

It's all the more satisfying for being long overdue, no worries there. I'm loving the politics for once.

"Would you trust a pirate not to steal from you or cut your throat?"

Normal People's Expectations of Viserys: "Only if I paid them well. Wanting wealth tends to be why they do either of those things."

Viserys being absolute mad lad and having a famine of fucks: "Some of the people in this room have imagined my death to their own personal benefit more than once, doesn't really stop me from playing a game of Cyvasse or sharing a cup of tea with them from time to time."

What's an attempted murder between a vassal and his liege lord?
