[X] DIPLO: Draconic Fascination
You've only really spent time with two Dragons, but both have been thoroughly fascinating individuals.

[X] LESSON: Theologian
You have a breadth of experience with the Divine that would put many Priests to shame, and are starting to build tentative overarching theories of the Divine that many might consider heretical.

You may have missed what Boney added to the trait after the update came out:

The bolded stuff is new. So I interpret taking this trait as meaning "we will never make a cultural misstep when dealing with dwarves."

That's a good point. Perhaps this could also open the door to Mathilde becoming formally adopted into a Dwarf clan and becoming a full-fledged Dawi instead of "merely" being Dawi-souled.

On the most optimistic end of the spectrum, this might make it possible for Belegar to adopt Mathilde as his sister, which means Mathilde gets to wear another hat of "Dawi Princess". A very attractive proposition indeed.

I really hope Dawri of all things makes return in future votes. Its a great narrative trait, its just that the current table has one or two better ones.

Adhoc vote count started by picklepikkl on Apr 8, 2021 at 12:18 PM, finished with 352 posts and 186 votes.

Lesson-wise, Dhar Insight is running away with it, with nearly twice as many votes as the closest runner-up. I think that one is safe.

Diplo-wise we have a closer race. Polyglot has a lead, but Trucemaker and Collegiate are in striking distance. Trucemaker has fallen somewhat since the clarifications on its use and Collegiate has risen sharply. I suspect the final drama of this vote will be the fight between Polyglot (long-term general utility and Xeno-Affinity synergy) and Collegiate (strong applicability to Waystones and to any career Mathilde wants to have that focuses on the Colleges of Magic).

[X] DIPLO: Interfaith Dialogue
Ranald isn't the most accepted of Gods, but you're growing adept at finding common ground with the other faiths of the Old World.

[X] LESSON: Leader
Despite not seeking it, once more you found yourself in military command. Perhaps this tendency is something to be embraced.

[X] LESSON: Mystic
Some mysteries should be embraced, rather than unravelled. You might not fully understand the Gods this way, but you are much more likely to get along with Them.

[X] LESSON: Syncretic
Ranald will likely always be your primary God, but you are branching out into a healthy and respectful understanding of some of the other Gods of the Old World, both human and Dwarven.

[X] LESSON: Theologian
You have a breadth of experience with the Divine that would put many Priests to shame, and are starting to build tentative overarching theories of the Divine that many might consider heretical.

[X] DIPLO: Dawri
You've lived along Dwarves for long enough that your Wizard robes and Arcane Marks are often the only things preventing you from being mistaken for one. But you could immerse yourself even deeper in Dwarven culture and become able to navigate it like a native.

[X] LESSON: Light Fingers
It's not theft, it's espionage. The enemies of the Empire and the Karaz Ankor have all sorts of interesting and portable items that would do a lot of good in friendly hands, from supplies to devices to paperwork.

I'm going to put my vote in as an aspirational thing- this is what I want to see Mathilde doing more of.

Ooh, that's a good point. If anybody is holding any ambitions of being Supreme Matriarch, this would be a good step in that direction.

(a better step would be picking up a spell that can defeat a dragon).

Speaking of which, has the duel for Head Wizard happened yet? I assume Dagomas won if it did.

We already have a spell that can defeat the dragon, it is technically a lesser magic too, dispel. :V

Transformation of Kadon doesn't work that way. The amber wizard has to transform back by casting another spell.
Belegar's dragon menhir becomes a permanent dragoning if it's dispelled, because it breaks the Mathilde's Mystical Matrix on it.

No. Boney mentioned that we would be able to go watch when it does.
