A bit sad that not many specialized traits like Waaaghbane are available this time around. They usually give higher and more flavorful bonuses.
- Say hello to the new avatar, courtesy of the Eonir of Laurelorn (via Total Warhammer).
I must admit that I had a double take when I saw a large update by a green avatar user and people talking about votable options right after. It's definitely in a very different art style than any of the previous ones.
I don't know whether I should be happy that there's a heraldry available, saving you a lot of time, or sad that we don't get to see someone here come up with a cool badge like they did for Dum and Vlag.
There is absolutely no possibility of Mathilde ever wielding Divine Magic, at all, under any circumstances, ever.
Is this a new WoQM to clamp down on any and all Nehekhara style theurgy talk or IC research?
[ ] LESSON: Leader: Meh. I´d rather leave actual command to people more suited to it.
We would
be the person more suited to it if we pick this. Hell, in many rooms we are
already the person most suited for it. Our mechanical stats
and our IC experience is higher than that of almost anyone we've met whose job description doesn't involve leadership.
The limited information available means there's not really any OOC considerations that can be made that differ too much from IC ones.
Well, IC Mathilde is already walking down the path to Dawri and might choose this due to genuine affection. OOC our diplomacy with that game faction is already high and we have a bigger need shoring up our abilities to recruit others to the Waystone Project, something in which, say, Collegiate (or Draconic Fascination
) might be more helpful when it comes to raw numbers.
Also, from a pure game-design perspective we can probably expect that the more niche and limited in narrative scope a trait is (like Polyglot when compared to Trucemaker), the higher the mechanical bonus is bound to be to still make it interesting.
Relationships having a long-distance component, or even being entirely long-distance before marriage, is extremely common in this time period.
This sounds like something that would be mostly true for nobility and such.
Theologian is building an understanding of the Gods on yours.
That seems more of a statement of intent. But I assume the trait will just be a bonus on actions in that direction and/or a narrative knowledge bonus during mysteries and conversations that relate to it. Together with the perspective of other players who have been talking it up, that makes it quite attractive to me. Especially because, since both magic and gods ultimately comes from whatever rules govern the Warp, this trait may well be relevant to our current project and, more importantly, the Dum Mystery.
