Come on Markgraf!

we are nearly there!

this is the chance to Spite the vampire.

if you vote for nothing else, vote for Kicking vampires in their pointy Teeth!

for Every Total war player that lost half their stack taking down a Von Carstein army only for them to raise a stronger one next turn!

For every older sibling that had to sit through one fo the Twilight Movies with their younger sibling!

For every time Mannfred von Carstein survives in canon despite all the stupid shit he does!

Vote. FOR. MARKGRAF!

for a vote for Markgraf is a vote against pale pricks that think they are better than you

I'd been wondering where you'd gone! I'm glad you're well; see you on the front lines when you catch up!
Thanks! Everyone here, family and all is fine. The beginning of Karak Dum was a little slow, and I missed a couple updates, then work picked back up, and I let myself fall further behind. I'm definitely not going to have time to cover the vote context though; you guys blew through like 2000 pages since the new year!

The top 4 options are neck and neck with each other (within 3 votes!), and currently leave leave option 5 in the dust by nearly 60 votes. They are:
Markgraf, Waystones, Bodyguard, and Loremaster-At-Large.

Voters should consider which out of these four they specifically prefer over the others.
Adhoc vote count started by Prime 2.0 on Mar 6, 2021 at 3:26 PM, finished with 1589 posts and 344 votes.

Indecision.

She couldn't choose. Four paths, each of them worthy, each of them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. So she took the only course left to her: She would gamble on it.

On one side of the coin was the die of the Gambler. The Waystone Project was certainly a massive gamble.

On the second side was the cat of the Night Prowler. Stealing all of Wissenland from the Skaven would certainly be a worthy heist.

On the third side was the cloak of the Deceiver. Perhaps she could get Heidi to admit out loud that her main concern was the safety of her son.

On the fourth side was the dagger of the Protector. "Change the world we live in."

She weighed all four choices in her mind just as she weighed the coin on her fingers. Then, with a flick, it was sent tumbling through the air. Over and over, it flipped and flipped and flipped once again, until-

*clack*

The coin landed on its thin side, balancing unnervingly still.

"Well then. Off to Kislev!" :V

Hunting and falconry would probably be the closest equivalent.

Ah, golf, the latest in a long line of modern anachronism BoneyM will sensibly prevent us from inventing.

It's a shame, as I imagine Warhammer golf would be considerably more exciting, what with having to avoid beastmen attacks from the woods and Skaven tunneling under the sand traps.

Ultimately, the vote is so close that unless that changes, any lead could be lost at any moment.

This is only really going to end once the votes slow to a trickle.
hence the cheering.

Go Markgraf!

think of all the Zanzy Vampire Hunters we will get to adopt. (what is the Vampire hunter version of a Duckling?)

Vampire hunters are adorable mess's and we must adopt them!

I think an underrated factor that we should be looking at more deeply is which of these allows us to help our allies best?

We are a high noble now, it isn't just about us any more but how we influence the movers and shakers of the old world.

Loremaster at large keeps us in K8P, but it didn't give us any real gains over what we already have.

Waystones would, theoretically, help everyone most if we can get it working, but this is not something I expect near-term payoffs for. That said, it would tie in best with the discussed use of the great deeds and boons, so we'd be able to offer positions as staff to a few of our people.

Markgraf puts us in the place where we have a lot of power and positions to hand out, but our focus would be internal, so less able to do foreign policy. This would be good if we want to build a tight-knit cabal, or if we wanted to do something like bring in halflings as officials.

I think tutor is the best mix, honestly. We will be hiring the Heir's bodyguards, and personally I think Johann would be *perfect* for the person who is always next to the boy. Almost impossible to kill, very fast and good in a fight, can evacuate or magically protect mandred at need, and being right next to the heir makes him suddenly VERY important to the gold college- nice boost in prestige. Plus we would be able to travel to visit or friends and swing the full weight of the Empress's authority to aid them if we need to.

So all are good, but I like tutor best.

Really close 4 top options, huh. Any of them could win. For my part, I really like all of them except probably Bodyguard, since, as stated before, not a super fan of going back the Empire and getting involved in local politics. Although Loremaster is my actual top favorite. I mean, consider:

- further helping Dwarfs out of racial depression
- dealing with dragons
- practically always being the foremost magic expert in the area
- often being the tallest person in the area
- being accepted by the average person you interact with
- still living in K8P, where all of our stuff is
- getting to go on shorter adventures whenever there's mood for it
-- and bringing people like Johann and Egrimm with
- mingling with the Dwarfs so much that being considered a Dwarf stops being weird
- eventually, probably getting access to Kragg's character sheet
- infinite headpats
- hanging out with Belebro the Bro King

What's not to love?

(Note: obviously, a few of the above benefits apply to some of the other jobs, but not very many, I think)

- We will have to kill the fire dragons, as they have a lot of grudges against them.
- Mathy has admitted in quest that she cant fix the racial depression.
- I don't like the whole 'your a dwarf' thing, frankly its insulting. (you're a credit to your kind)
- We have Kraggs Character sheet. its not his fault its Yes/No based.
