The bigger question y'all are overlooking right now is who is holding the Serpentsone recorder while the other two work on...improving relations between the Imperium and Armun Kelisk? Or are they taking turns?

The reason the Djinn were not present was that Embra is not really equipped to discuss military strategy. She was sent here mostly because she knows Viserys and has seen the realm before not because she has the ear of the Sultan. Having her sit in the corner and nod from ime to time would have been rather pointless in an already quite long update.

It's a huge step. Especially because in Westeros, we've seen another bunch of spirits who really cared about mortal succession. It turned out that it wasn't because they'd been created as servants, but simply because of the wording of the original bargain between Garth and the Court of Stars. And then of course the Fey could use the rightful ruler for various ritual purposes, possibly to use other old bargains they still remember...
We could simply have a similar situation here, with Kami bound by age-old oaths to the Throne of Heaven (or whatever the throne of Yi-Ti is officially called).
There's a huge difference there. The Court of Stars very clearly predated any mortal Kingdoms in Westeros, and they didn't care about succession in the same way. They were trying to meddle in succession and basically play puppet with the monkeys. The "rightful ruler" was, as you pointed out, only useful for ritual purposes. If they could bypass that I have little doubt they'd have proceeded to ignore the Iron Throne beyond meddling with them for entertainment.

The Kami of Yi Ti the polar opposite. They're straight up loyal to the rightful emperor, to the point where they can truthfully be called vassals and servants. This loyalty is inherited by each successive emperor regardless of their personal power. Just look at Bu Gai. As far as we can tell he's a straight up NPC who barely commands his own court, yet still holds the fealty of the Kami. You're right that this is far from proof that they were created for the task, but I find it far easier to believe a God Emperor in the literal sense just made his own servants for his own purposes, possibly retrofitting existing creatures like Fey, but definitely with his own twist. If they weren't created I don't know how you'd get an entire species of Native Outsider with no clear ruler of their own to swear perpetual loyalty to a mortal throne.
It's not that they were built to be loyal, but that they're the symbiotic product of 10,000+ years of continuous cultural interaction and spiritual shaping/worship. The Kami basically fill the metaphysical niche of gods and the Fey for the Yi Tish, though the culture that shaped them was so fundamentally different that the beings it shaped - and was in turn shaped by - formed a completely different sort of being.

How much of the culture formed because of interaction with the Kami and how much the Kami formed because of interaction with the culture is completely opaque at this point, but the end result is clear.
I can absolutely see worship shaping them over the centuries.

Ayy, be advised, taking a covid shot (Sputnik, what else would I have acess to?) after having had something-very-likely-covid-but-doctors-refused-to-check, results in a very rapid descent to feeling like shit.

Like, I was promised 1-3 days for the symptoms to show up, not 3 hours D:

Seems I do have antibodies still, 4 months after the suspected period of me losing all smell/taste for 2 weeks - and they went to fighting quite damn rapidly at that >_<

[X] Azel

@Azel, what's our off-plane priorities?
We have:

[] The Crucible, we're working on taking it over w/ Gith

[] The ruins of CoS in Feywild cureently taken over by our forces. To be made into an outpost, or something?

[] The Shadow Steel mine we are taking over. And apparently also making it into an outpost with Planar Terminus to it?

[] The Efreeti War. I'm not even sure what do we want to take part in, at this point.
-[] We do have a small taskforce in Div's Delight, handed over entirely to Shaitan as reinforcements.

And where does the Moon Landing fit in, considering that the proper gravitas for the event require significant PC-investment?

Yes.

I believe the forces currently there are just gonna stay permanently, albeit rotated out. Yes to the Imperial Outpost, though we wanna deck it out with protective warding. The Fey Queen's dying curse ain't fun.

@egoo, who do we have assigned here again? Depending on DP's rolls we might see a few levelups.

Good answer, much informative, wow.

While I get the joke, I wasn't asking for curiosity's sake.
Need for background turnplan-assigning.

Crucible can be left slow-burning long as we're using Mjndblanked teams no outside force is likely to follow us in.
Or we can boom rush it with PCs and military occupation protection of the aspirant souls.

Feywild outpost can start running very rapidly with but few PCs and heavy "Maim Kill Burn!"-units assigned to jot just guard the ruins but clear out any threats nearby.
I just straight up not sure why we want it, beyond denying the location to anyone else.

Moon-landing would take a lot of PCs to ensure succeeding properly.
So it depends on when we want it to happen.
Etc.

Take care. I'll be getting my own second shot tomorrow. I have no idea how it will go, but supposedly the second one is the hardest to deal with in terms of adverse effects so I might be joining you on the symptoms train.

We've pretty much gifted them to Shaitan to use how ever.
Spoiler: Div's Delight Support Force (Shaitan-led)
70x Raid groups (5 Black Wardens, 1 Necrotic Mold - 6,600 IM per unit)
10x Lead-Clad Black Brutes
10x Bloodclot Molds (in Black Brutes)
10x Lindworms
10x Bloodclot Molds (in Lindworms)
10x Vigilant Hunters
90x Vigilant Briars (CR 4)
70x Watchmoles (CR 6)

Dude. I'm typing one-handed because I just fully wrecked my right one.

What is this even? Didn't we go over this already?

Except for the moonlanding. Completely out of order. Vanity project. We haven't even achieved orbit yet.

If you can dump ne what's still available and what's already assigned, I can look it over.

And could you ceck if Anya and co are really not assigned anywhere yet?

Who's assigned and who's not is thoroughly checked by now, yes.
We just have a couple of people you haven't claimed when I threw Slavers Bay/Westeros your way.

It's all under the turnplan, in 'unassigned PCs/NPCs'-spoilers.

@egoo

Anya, Mia Netcatcher, Osryx, 100x Bulabar Engineers to the Fey outpost to make contact with the neighbours and to prepare everything for building a base there. (Design pending.)

Rhealla, Menel and the Seeker in reserve for Westeros pacification.

Everything else has to wait until we got Tywins skull.

No votes so far, not that I'm complaining you guys being deliberative, but is there anything unclear?
