Where is Sailor Pluto when you need her?
We have the location of all the Inner and Outer Senshi except for Pluto and Saturn.

Having Saturn awaken Will bring Every Magical Organization down on our heads. Even if we keep her powers under control and not Silence the Solar System again.
could we even meet Pluto yet? there's a whole time paradox thing with her. Technically she reincarnates in the past AFTER dying in the future... except, of course, once she DOES it basically means she's been in the past all the while...

...though technically, at least in Crystal, it REALLY looked like Pluto died together with the Neptune and Uranus when Saturn woke up... And yet, Future Pluto CAN'T be simply the reincarnated Pluto after canon that got back to her guard post to the time door, as she didn't recognize sailor moon AND because her past self actually remembered Chibiusa from the future..

If we met her, would that make it a closed-time loop kind of thing? She's reincarnated here, so if we meet her in the future we already know she HAS to die at some point? Or maybe we simply CAN'T meet her until we time travel to the future and SEE her die?

...ok, it's official, I HATE Sailor Moon's time travel.

And Saturn.. I think it was mentioned that Hotaru is already a cyborg, but that's really no surprise.

Still, Pluto and Saturn are probably unlikely to appear any time (pun not intended) soon, unless something unexpected happens.

Probably guarding that time gate?

That's an excellent argument for why we should be glad we don't know where she is, because we're not ready for that kind of attention.

P.S. - Remembering the Sailor Starlights, we can assume that Sailor Warriors are characterized by some degree of platonic adoration ... In any case, it is not necessary to make a Lesbian Haremnik out of this ...

Chibiusa has a time travel plot. From the sound of it, Sailor Pluto has an "atemporal nonsense, ain't gotta explain shit' plot.

Where was that?

In the manga and Crystal, Hotaru got injured in the incident that killed her mother and got turned into cyborg with a Daimon Egg implanted in her to survive. The incident was caused by a lightning strike of some sort hitting her father Souichi Tomoe's (Already Mad Scientist blacklisted from the mainstream scientist community) lab. The led to Souichi encountering Pharoah 90 who as part of the deal to keep Hotaru alive got a Daimon Egg implanted in her (Daimons being the Infinity Arc MoTW) and would lead Souichi becoming a willing collaborator of Pharoah 90 and general manager of the Death Buster because Mistress 9 the Daimon possessing Hotaru struggled to be fully control her for long periods of time.

Edit: Also, in the original anime Souichi was just possessed by the Daimon Germatroid and forced into being the leader of the Death Busters. But in Crystal and the mange Germatroid was just the name he gave himself after converting himself into a Daimon to fight the Senshi.

I heard that in Crystal she is a cyborg ... it's good that at least my beloved Ami-chan was not made a cyborg (the authors really need to be held back sometimes)
To explain this a bit more:

In crystal (which should more or less be an adaptation of the manga, with very few differences, compared to the much more different 90s anime) Hotaru, the reincarnation of Saturn, was the victim of a fire. Her father, to save her, basically turned into a cyborg.

In particular, both her arms and legs appear to be either partially or completely artificial. They're mentioned to be cold to the touch as well.

She also ended up partially possessed by mistress 9, a villain underling of Pharaoh 90, the big bad of the third arc.

By the end of the season (I still have to reach that point, so this is from the wiki) she's basically saved by sailor moon, but regresses to an infant status.

She's then adopted and taken care of by the three outer senshi.

well, just a minute too late :p

- The girl smells of magic! getting into contact with her means that another person to help punch in the face of the demon

My first thought was that Makoto finally found the message on her answering machine (I thought those were widespread in the '90s), but I suppose trying to be friendly also works if it's the police woman.

They were far from unheard of, especially in relatively technologically sophisticated Tokyo. And given that Mako seems to live alone as more or less an emancipated minor in a country with an intensive school schedule, having an answering machine would seem like a good/important investment for her, if only because of official calls that come in during school hours... but then, maybe she just doesn't.

A few hours later...

Captain Kotatsu: Captain Matsura! Looks like you and the rest of the force made it back in one piece.
Kimiko: ...All the kidnapped people have been secured, and the Youma responsible has been taken care of. Some of the hostages needed to be rushed to the hospital, but no casualties from our team.
Kotatsu: Wow, I'm impressed. Of course, I wouldn't expect anything less from the most magical crimefighter in Japan.
Kimiko: ...No.
Kotatsu: No?
Kimiko: No, I am not the most magical crimefighter in Japan. I was assisted by...no, I was allowed to tag along with a group of magical vigilantes who frankly outclassed me by several degrees in both offensive and defensive capabilities. After the confrontation, they asked for a means to contact me, and said that they would have a more "formal presentation" by the end of next week. After that, they departed, and I arranged for emergency services to come by to handle the civilians.
Goro: Wait, you're saying that you were right next to this group of vigilantes, and you didn't bring them in for questioning?
Kimiko: They had proven instrumental in recovering the hostages without loss of life. Trying to arrest them after that would have done nothing but alienate them.
Goro: Are you telling me that you didn't even try to detain them-
Kimiko: With what, Goro? *lightning crackles at her fingertips* There were five magical warrior girls and what I think was a half-demon, who fought off a monster that would have taken out a whole squadron of our men. One of them threw the Youma into the bus hard enough to make it crumple like a tin can! Any one of them could have taken me on without breaking a sweat; do you really expect me to just handcuff a squad of Supermen and drive them to the station?
Goro: ...
Kimiko: *lightning crackle stops* They are a powerful force that is willing to openly help, and they seem open to cooperating with us. At this point, I'm calling that a win.

do you really expect me to just handcuff a squad of Supermen and drive them to the station?
yeah, when superman is helping you, you say thanks and try to learn more about him BEFORE even considering doing anything he might disapprove of.

Especially when the villains he helps you against are things you would NOT be able to defeat on your own.

mh.. I wonder.. the police CAPTURED the youma. Might there be a problem with them due to the fact we KILL ours?

We could probably claim legitimate defense, or having to choose between the life of the demon and the lives of the victims... but this can sound badly.

Not that they offer us another choice, EVER.

..Actually, I'm somewhat surprised none of the senshi yet expressed a problem with the fact they have KILLED what appear to be sapient beings. Maybe the memories of their old selves are helping them to cope?

Moon purifies, and they're restored if not too far gone, or annihilated if they are.
And they only have our word for that. Also that's only in regard to youma that were originally humans, apparently.

It still doesn't change the fact that we DID kill some Sapient beings. As vigilantes.

We were right to do so, but it CAN be used against us, potentially.

Logical or not. Some people might decide to try and prosecute us in an attempt to save face, even when we happen to be the only people capable of fighting on a somewhat level playing field with the new terrorist group with the power to massacre whole Swat-equivalents with a single individual...

they'd even be somewhat justified in doing it.

We are, after all, illegal vigilantes. We ARE breaking the law everytime we attack the youma terrorists, as we're planning to kill them.

We're justified, but by the letter of the law we ARE criminals.

Which is why first impressions are going to be critical. The law is NOT on our side, so we need the best PR we can so that we can bring the public on our side enough that the authorities will be pressured to CHANGE the laws, or to make an exception for us.

..and at some point we'll also have to approach the "actually, I kinda want to become the queen of the world" thing. A thing that would certainly benefit from good PR, and a good track record of successes.

..and, well, offering biological immortality/longevity to everyone is nice too. I imagine many people would accept our new overlady Neo-Queen Serenity in exchange for a 1000 years lifespan, and that's without considering everything else magic can offer... but not everyone will agree.

To paraphrase a quote from A Practical Guide to Evil, "I am trying to help you stave off the enemies at your doorstep that you clearly can't handle by yourself. If I truly desired the destruction of everything you care about, then all I have to do is LEAVE."

Granted, Sailor Moon would never say that, but Sailor Uranus definitely would.
