If you think about it the 1st Emporer is the Conqueror, Uniter, and Defender in Dark Times. Gawain needs an image all his own, and I think the the Torch that reveals the wider world, a maker of peace is just as good as his fathers

[X] Equestrian Introductions: He's built a reputation for himself as a diplomat. Why stop now?

Should we send him as a diplomat to the other countries as well?

This is most likely the best choice. It is important enough for Gawain to gain a sense of accomplishment, inform us on the Alicorns and Equestrian politics, and will receive higher positivity as sending the Heir of an Empire for a delegation meeting is pretty big and holds a decent amount of weight for First Contact of Governments.

He's certainly got the potential

Well this was a happy surprise to see again.

This is the best option in my opinion gives him a chance to go on an adventure and use his Diplomatic skills to aid the Empire. And give him a chance to prove his worth, it seems worth it overall in my opinion. And while there is some risk to it I think it's still worth taking.

[X] Prince Incognito: Stupid? Certainly. Dangerous? Unfathomably so. But it's the only way he'll ever see a battlefield, and if that's the price he has to pay, then so be it.

Well, it seems that everyone is lining up behind diplomacy so I don't even have to carefully consider the pros and cons between an Epic of Gawain versus the safer option! :D

Yeah, I'm liking this option.

I'd eagerly read a story about the incognito prince, but I wouldn't actually choose it, because it is pretty dumb.

Hmm...Yeah this is definitely the safer choice so Imma just go with it.

No sense in bringing the kid to a dangerous War.

I'm good with any action but I feel this one plays to the prince's strengths more and I feel has the greatest chance of success while also satisfying him. Though part of me really wants to go the secret prince route because if it works it would be amazing but the more rational side of me see all the ways it can go wrong.

Look, I know this is by no means what so ever the safe option. Hell, the diplomat route is valid as fuck and is just as important. But dammit, does this idea seem cool! If it wins (which I kinda doubt it will), it'll be a neat as heck story element for Gawain.

Let's not try to pull a Mulan.
War and Peace.
The poetic option.

[X] Paper-Pushing Prince: It's not a glamorous job, but someone needs to make sure the Army is fed, watered and armed. He won't earn any scars or combat honors, but he'll get a chance to play a part in the campaign, however small it might be.

Definitely not the most showy, but someone's got to keep the wheels of empire turning, and what better start to that than this?

Dooo iiiiitttt....
Ya'll know you want to!!

Let's give him a taste of war on the front with a soldier's perspective, the story would be glorious as his brother in arm's risk their life and broken limb assisting each other and get's to see tragedy unfold as they die in front of him protecting the prince!!

As others have said, this is a really bad idea but if it works it will be really fricken cool. I'm not expecting this option to win (and kinda hope it doesn't) but man would it be stressful and fun.
