The Path Unending (A Cultivation Quest)

Perhaps a wide open cavern with a single pillar in the center of it upon which Elder Siani sits while throwing rocks at disciples who have displeased him. Or a dark, underground barrow with confines so tight that you can barely crawl through them without your belly scraping on the floor. Maybe a wild jungle home to hundreds of hungry beasts that he is keeping for his own amusement.
KZ seems to think that his Master's main character trait is 'Sadistic'? Could be right, but these ideas are far to plain for Siani.

Small square structures are crowded next to towering spires built within enormous stalagmites which loom over ramshackle contraptions made entirely of wood and prayer.
I now want to work on a charm composed of wood and prayer...

"Ah," he breathes out as the two of you catch up with him. "It has been too long!"
So what does he do with his time? On the plus side, this might indicate he doesn't drive his student mad by being around all the time.

"Ducklings," he finally breathes out. "I present to you the most important place within all of the Delving Heart: my Warren!"
I find both ends of this line disturbing.

...you wonder if this pain behind your temples is going to become a regular feature in your life. It certainly seems like that could be the case. If so, you had best talk to Jai Shouxi about something for your head. It would not do to be distracted at a crucial moment by pressure behind your eyes whenever your Master speaks.
Maybe ask how his other Disciple cope?

Whatever they are about to say is cut off when Elder Siani claps his fingers together so quickly that they cause an audible sound. "No, no," he chastises. "No overwhelming the new ducklings! Come, everyone, we have practiced this! Manners! Introduce yourselves one at a time!"
Is it the Time Core that drives you mad, or that having a Time Core means you end up with Siani as your Master?

[X] Dramatically, with great gusto. You worked hard to earn your Sigil and you will make sure that all know your tale. Besides, you have been standing here for long enough. You may as well provide some entertainment.
This, but with added eye-rolling to make it quite clear that you are just putting on a show for Elder Siani.

[X]Write-in
-[X]Poorly but enthrallingly

Meandering and overlong but inexplicably fascinating as each diversion from the main story keeps the audience's interest just well enough for them to not bring Kong Zhi back from whatever tangent he's going down this time.

Basically, word vomit kind of like what we threw up all over Mei Daiyu a while back, though with less interference from the vise-like grip of puberty.

I love this write in, KW!

[x] Reflectively. There is much you have learned in your time here, much you never would have expected to experience, which has made your life richer. Focus on your fear, your excitement, your wonder, and your appreciation for your friends and allies who helped bring you here.

Seems to play into what Siani wants, and this place takes its social cues from him one way or another. Also we have to contrast Sun Yijun, Kong Zhi and him have opposite cores after all.

I think any of the options are fine (though Quick is kind of boring OOC and likely to irk Siani, it might please some of the disciples). The reason for my write-in is that it furnishes the story with a built-in character arc (ours) and that hitting for the emotional core of the experiences is likely to be engaging in itself.

This sounds like something I would actually like to read, because I want to know what Kong Zhi would reflect on. Plus I think looking back on all that Kong Zhi has done is a good start to a new arc.

I agree with this.

The best thing about this option is that it fits with Kong Zhi's character development, while moving that ark forward. We have established that Kong Zhi isn't really a clown. He is kind of blunt and a bit of a crafting nerd. We've also seen that he can be thoughtful and reflective when pressed. This would be him taking the step beyond that, actively choosing to reflect. I think that makes him a more interesting and likable protagonist, and I think it will also be appreciated by the other disciples and maybe even Siani. If anything, the fact that it isn't what they were expecting will impress them even more.

This isn't time to be boring, it's time for ham.

[X] In great detail. You spent months solving the mysteries of the Armory and learned a great deal. Perhaps there is some detail in your experiences that could help even these experienced Artists.

[X] what you Witness, what you done and what you learned, you could say what the elder task you with to gain his sigil but it will do it no justice and hurt your pride as a Kong to just not Weave the details of the tapestry, so you start with the beginning, the encounters the breaking and mendings , of the achievements and failures, the challenges and wonders, of what your senses see and what your senses don't see, of creation and destruction mingling together. The story of the journey not yet finish
-[X] while telling the story start crafting something anything

@Vesvius
For some reason I imagined him crafting a picture book when he tells the story
