[X] Plan Yeah, No
-[X] Time to go. You've done the Time Warp one too many times already.
--[X] Leave behind something marked with a Dragoneye Rune protected by Quintessence, so you may find this place again in the future.
Might as well use our new Lesser Mark of Greed spell. We developed it as part of the plan to create the path we're following back to the present, so it would be fitting.

I protest.
It is getting late at yours, and you are definitely not 100% healthy yet.

Part MMMDCCIX: Present Concerns
Present Concerns

Elsewhere Elsewhen

There is a time and a place for greed and driving ambition. This being neither a time nor place fixed by the patterns of the Spheres it surely can't be this one. You glance at Qyburn and not without regret or sympathy you decide: "Best not to linger, lest we find our paths tangled... more tangled that is." A laugh seems odd in this place, but you still let it past your forked tongue almost to spite its architects. "But perhaps we shall find it in its proper time..." you lay down the rune you had dubbed the Mark of Greed guarded in a silvery substance of Qyburn's own conjuring, the stuff of thoughts made real and manifest he calls it. You will take his word for it, just looking at the shimmering stuff gives you a faint headache.

Soon enough the point of silver light vanishes behind you in the murky waters in the shape of a strange beast. The further you are the less they look like the tentacles of some living being and more like alien patterns of light in darkness against some nameless abyss.

You are quite glad you did not linger amongst the shadows of the past overlong and it seems so is Lya. "Some things are too large to fight... without the proper preparations."

Ser Richard throws her a disappointing look, though it is exaggerated enough compared to his usually stoic demeanor to make it clear it was meant in jest.

Twenty First Day of the Fourth Month 294 AC

Thankfully the temptation of ancient laboratories proves to be the last stepping stone on the path to time and place. The five of you burst not from stone beneath Nagga's Hill, but a pool of brimstone, ammonia and other exotic alchemical compounds sadly just as fragrant. You have never been happier to be covered slime, or looking up at a laden sky illuminated by the faintest threads of moonlight.

"Right time?" Ser Richard asks as you help him out of the pool seemingly too shallow to have fit even him much less your own draconic bulk.

Lya, who was already out, sweeps the clouds aside with a wave of her hand and flexing of her will and peers at the newly revealed stars for a moment. "We lost about a day."

Seeing as there are no urgent voices in your head you judge the past day to have been uneventful enough to allow you to move on with your previous plans. "Vee... we won't be needing that tree," you send into the ether. You can feel the spirits of Old Wyk calm and steady under your feet.

Time to finish what you started, several thousand years ago. The thought is almost dizzying, leaving you almost paused at the sheer audacity for a moment. "Are you ready to show the Ironborn the virtues of worshiping one who does not wish to see them become fodder for ruthless devourers of men, My Lady?" you ask Aife who is scraping the slime off her fins with thoroughly feline disdain for the stuff.

"Iron breaks iron," she replies, a smile in her voice. "Careful their souls do not cling to you too soon."

Before the Kingsmoot you must decide how much of your journeys to reveal to Asha and her uncle. How much do you reveal of your adventures and how?

OOC: Something of a bridge update which is one of the reasons why I wanted to get it out today. Plus it's also pretty short. We may not be back to normal update wise but much like my health we are getting there.

Here's an edited version of the chapter, DP.

[X] Nothing. Assure them that the threat was eliminated, but that to share more would threaten their sanity.
