Ami:

"Have you met my past self!?"
Considering I remember reading that the Sailor Pluto that first appears in the manga was a survivor of the Silver Millennium, having never actually died, and is a non-linear character besides that? Yes, yes she has.
No. They didn't get along because the Outers were being aloof because of their positions as the first line of defense and just plainly being really cynical. Also they were willing to kill Civilians to retrieve their Talismans IIRC. Usagi is canonically bisexual and had no problem with their relationship or Haruka's gender. Please don't go on bashy screeds about canon.

I had an entire rant, but frankly it's not worth giving you a freebie for the mods when it's you whom should be sanctioned. Not that the mods would agree with me about you being rude with that last sentence of yours after the perfectly serviceable riposte.

This is at least, shall we say, incrementally less stupid when you're a reincarnation of Past Idiot. Technically. :p
I'm honestly not sure why you've gotten the idea that her previous life was an idiot?

*raises an eyebrow* What, exactly, would you be ranting about that's worthy of an infraction?

Anyway, on a different topic, we really need to get transportation up and running. Especially long-ranged stuff: Minako really needs to have some friends support her during the whole "Danburite" incident.

I am adopting the perspective of Ami/Sailor Mercury, rather unfairly judging her past self for frustrating little things like "failing to document the Thunder Bracelets" and "basically only leaving one macro spell programmed and it's a weak one."

It is intentionally humorous, in that Ami appears to have a recurring theme of being frustrated with questionable choices made by Princess Mercury that leave her in the lurch.

And then, to round out the week, Usagi decides to go and check out the mysterious rumor of the disappearing buses near the Hino Shrine.

Seems like a simple enough matter, at least until Usagi finds the rambunctious demon boy that works with one of her upperclassmen arguing with some birds. Which oddly enough isn't even the strangest thing that has happened to Usagi over the week. But it seems that Kagome hadn't heard of the rumor, and is missing.

Ok, our bad. We really should have checked this out earlier and now our friend is in danger and her edgy boyfriend is having a freak out.

Stop - I hope the Grail Arc does not begin before we defeat Queen Beryl. You know, it will be hard to fight simultaneously with the lords of the dark kingdom and the Witches 5.

I really hope you're referring to a Precure plot and not... anything to do with the Fate-series. I don't think we're ready for that nonsense.

The bird are sapient, magical and possibly aliens, so the freak-out is less then it immediately appears.

And wrong on both counts, it's a Sailor Moon thing.

Nah the Holy Grail is some mystical artifact from the Silver Millenium and one of the focuses of Sailor Moon's third (or Fourth depending on if you count the Ali and En stuff from the anime) Arc/Season that is summoned by Uranus' Space Sword, Neptune's Deep Aqua Mirror, and Pluto's Garnet Orb.

1) Lunaryon has stated they're working in separate areas, though they used "hemisphere" which I believe was a mistake on their part, but I could be wrong:

2) The Youma owed allegiance to Zoisite, but was working for Jadeite:

Zoisite, incidentally, was one of the generals who turned people into Youma. Presumably, Jadeite was paying Zoisite something for aid. Or vice-versa.
Hemisphere might not be the right word, but I'm not sure what the correct word is.
Jadeite is in charge of the North Eastern quadrant? of the world, and the other three each have their own 25% of the planet that their plans are working from.
..this sentence hurts me.

What do you think Geometry IS, Usagi?! :jackiechan:

base 16 math disagrees with you.

Or, even more simply, algebra.
...Technically Pre-Algebra, but you aren't completely wrong.

what even WAS the reason the outer and inner senshi didn't get along in canon?

Also, is Sailor Saturn LITERALLY unable to fight alongside the other ones?

I mean, sure, she's the strongest (at least when you don't consider SIlver Crystal reality warping), and apparently her full strenght is basically apocalypse inducing.. but can't she fight at less than 100%? is it "destroy everything" or "defenseless", with no middle way?
The exact reason is never quite explained.

There are some reasons that are given, but they don't seem to be fully accurate.

At one point Uranus says that the Senshi are too weak to do what they do
at another point I think Neptune says that the Senshi aren't willing to do the horrible things that they have to do to survive

But... In general the arguments that the two throw around seems to boil down to 'We're the Hard Girls doing hard things' and the fact that they are a team that works well together and don't want to mess with their groove...

However, they are also shown to fold whenever Usagi goes full on Princess on them...

And as for Sailor Saturn-

In the Manga it is explained at one point that the reason why the Moon Castle cannot be seen from the earth is that when the Queen finished her Reincarnation of Everything spell, she commanded Sailor Saturn to destroy everything. And when Saturn attacks, there is nothing left above the Moon's surface. The Moon Kingdom and every living thing there is reduced to dust.

I've just found this, that shows princess serenity meeting the outer senshi in the crystal reboot.

I'm still a bit confused about sailor Pluto personally. I mean, did she stop guarding the time door?

What even IS the time door? was it maybe just a time machine made by the ancient silver millennium that survived its destruction?

On an interesting note, they EXPLICITELY say that Sailor Uranus is "both genders" in the second video, "with the strenght of both man and woman"

I never agreed with this because it makes no sense and no real reason was provided for the choice which to me makes it smell like an ass pull to explain why no one noticed the ruins of the moon kingdom and even that doesn't make sense given that it doesn't do anything about the ruins on earth or elsewhere in the solar system. If you want a better excuse just put the moon kingdom on the dark side of the moon in shadow, cause at this point in time humanity wouldn't have good pics of that.

It comes down to differences between the classic anime/manga/Crystal reboot. I probably should work on some 'important info' post for each because while this Quest is veering delightfully off the rails when it comes to canon, it's still good to have info about the franchise.

Also, as someone who failed high school algebra not once, not twice, but three times—I really empathize with Usagi. Math is difficult and it frequently feels like it is changing the rules on you. Also, mathematics learning builds on what came before. If you don't understand a concept by the time the teacher moves on, by the middle of the school year you are going to be sitting through math class with absolutely zero idea of what is going on.

In short, I am really glad Usagi has a literally genius tutor in Ami.

Yeah maths are a pain, personally i feel the biggest issue is that teachers kinda fail more often than not to actually explain whats going own in a way that can be understood intuitively. Algebra, Calculus, and Physics did make much sense to me until i came to the understanding that A) Algebra is math that lets you solve problems where you don't know all the numbers which is really useful when you actually don't care that you don't know everything nor need to B) Calculus is math that lets solve problems where you don't have fixed values by basically cheating and acting like you did and C) Physics uses both in addition to using problems made up of other problems to let you solve for either really really big problems or very specific ones. That didn't help me much in college though, Quadratics still kicked my but XD

Transformation Trouble Part 1 - WHO ARE YOU, WHERE AM I, HELP HELP I'VE BEEN KIDNAPPED!
"Uhhh..." Usagi starts, before an idea appears in her head. A dastardly, devious idea. Something that she knows no one else has ever thought before. At least, not the way that she is thinking of it right now. "Ahha!" The girl cheers, "Moon Prism! Transform me into the Silver Princess!" Usagi says, as she holds the pen over her head. There is a blinding flash of light...

Something is wrong. Very, very wrong. There is a weight to your limbs that you haven't felt in... So very long. For the first time in what feels like an eternity, you take a deep, long breath of your own accord. A decision that you immediately regret as you start to retch.

The air in this strange room is all but noxious. The air is thick with the scent of melted plastic, the fumes of acrid gasoline, and dozens of other toxins and pollutants are in the air. It only takes a moment for you to realize that you aren't alone in the room. There are... Others. Familiar, but not right.

Two of your Royal Guard are here with you, as well as... two others that are familiar, but you cannot place them. A Mao, and a Earther.

Why would there be an Earther on the Moon with you? Not when you have to go to such lengths to leave the Capital and reach the Earth. But wait...

This isn't the Moon, is it? The weight in your limbs... That is the heavy draw of the Earth's gravity. 「Ερμής,」 You say, looking to the Blue haired princess of the Second Planet, 「Where is शुक्र? Where is ᛏ? ...Where are we?」

Ερμής stares at you for a long moment, a confused look on her face. Then... The Princess opens her mouth, and she says... Something. You don't recognize the words that the... Wait. No.

This person looks like the Princess of the Second planet. She has the right height, the right build, but what is she wearing? What is everyone here wearing? Well, everyone other than the Mao, but you know. Mao. However, the thing that truly separates the stranger that looks almost exactly Ερμής from being Ερμής is the fact that the girl isn't relying completely on a computer.

You cannot say that you remember a time when Ερμής wasn't nose deep into her Terminal, either fiddling with some bit of programming or simply doing what she can to ignore everyone else in her vicinity. Much the same way, The other individual who looks like Iúpatar is in a way very similar.

She is just as tall and voluptuous as the real Iúpatar, but the girl is looking at you with a kind and worried look on her face. You can't imagine Iúpatar ever looking at you like that - Not that the Princess of the Flying city doesn't care, but Iúpatar's method of caring involves a lot more sly looks and going 「My my...」 towards you instead.

But that doesn't matter right now, not when you have been... Probably kidnapped, somehow by these strangely familiar impostors.

So there is really only one thing that you can do. 「EMERGENCY TELEPORT!」

You cry out the incantation of your Rescue Beacon. There is a flash of light, and the familiar sensation of your physical form being pulled away into the ether between worlds... But then something is wrong. Something is...

The spells interface isn't detecting any of the Navigation points that the spell should be detecting, and the Transport is rapidly losing power. There isn't enough magic in the area to keep yourself out of the physical world.

With a quiet pop, you find yourself... Somewhere else. Somewhere unlike anything that you have ever been before. All around you are towering buildings crafted of... Steel and Glass? The light of the sun is blindingly bright as it reflects off of nearly every nearby surface. The stone beneath your bare feet is rough and gritty, not at all like the smooth stone that you normally walk along on the moon.

Where... Where are you? This doesn't look like anywhere you have ever seen on the Earth.

Right now... You can head forward, off of the strange rough stone onto a different black stone? Or you can turn around and head... Into the shadows between the buildings. Other than that, there is going to your left or your right along the strange stone that you are on now. Looking to your left, you can see grassy hills in the distance. Meanwhile, to the right, you can see a massive spire that extends even higher into the sky than anything else around.

Surely, if you can reach the top of that spire, than you might be able to get past whatever measures are preventing you from accessing the Nav Points.
[ ][Moon] Head forward onto the strange black stone
[ ][Moon] Head back into the cool shade, away from the burning sun
[ ][Moon] Head to the left, towards the grassy hills that won't hurt your feet
[ ][Moon] Head to the right towards the tower so that you can reach the moon

[X][Moon] Head to the left, towards the grassy hills that won't hurt your feet

Let's try to keep the princess from being run over.

I have a concern, why is Sailor Saturn basically a magical suicide nuke?
Because Saturn's like... Domains, I guess, using Divine terminology are 'Death and Rebirth' 'Silence' and 'Ruin'

The suicide part of her powers seems to either be an issue of some inherent part of channeling pure death through yourself...

Or an issue of her not really being able to practice with her powers, and thus not being able to learn to use them safely.

[X][Moon] Head back into the cool shade, away from the burning sun

This is an alley, an alley would be a good way to hide. Hiding until our friends can find us is a good idea. I want to do a write-in where the princess checks her person for an emergency beacon, but it looks like write-ins aren't allowed. Hopefully that's common sense enough that we do it anyway. That would let Mercury find us. I do assume they're looking.
