We are already meddling a good deal. Let's not introduce more risks by broadcasting our presence.

Time fuckery is the kind of thing that I hate about the Feywild. I wanna get out of here incredibly fast.

...is this the point at which DP repeatedly shows us Shinies™ to try and distract us from achieving success with the Drowny?

The best loot is the power of the Drowned God and in particular the souls of the Ironborn, so I'm perfectly happy to ignore other stuff.

Finally some souls for sentient undead...

Hmmm... The Rebel Illithid are trying to make drowny fuse with the Warrior...

Can we hijack the Warrior too?

Getting Chrono Trigger flashbacks.

Best not to touch anything less we wake some ancient horror from beyond the stars, which given how many other apocalypses we deal with on a daily basis, probably already exists in someone's fucking basement somewhere.

And knowing our luck the Citadel burned the only book telling where it is exactly because if they can't have it no one can.

Agreed, though I did have the momentary thought that we should perhaps drop Yss an anonymous Sending to suggest that when his situation is most dire and his existence itself begins to fail, that a future career as a fashion accessory, perhaps a stylish snakeskin belt, will pay off very well in the far distant future. 🐍

Lya: "Come on Viserys, a perhaps once in a life time opportunity to see wonders lost to time, meet scholars who's musings were as dust in the wind, their insights muddled or forgotten! And pick over their entire minds piece by piece if necessary... huh. That was a pretty dark Lya thing to say."

Viserys: "Look, someone here has gotta exercise restraint. The twins are going to unmake several thousand years of history by looting random junk if we start on it now, and Qyburn might say "fuck it" and cause the Deep One empire to implode if it presents an opportunity to collaborate with the rebels."

Qyburn: "Ah yes, undoing a ritual thousands of years in the making and stealing untold amounts of souls and power from the Mind Dominion and their pet god is the epitome of restriant, Your Grace."

Richard: "Honestly, with everything else on the table, I'll take what I can fucking get."

@DragonParadox , this needs to be a part of the update. At this point this is perfectly in character for everyone involved.

We could make a fresh start here I guess.

Just not go back in our time. Is that even an option?
Or would surviving Inevitables eventually start to notice and kill us, long before they are as weakened as they were in our time?

That happened to them like 10,000 years ago, if this happened after Heaven fell then we are looking at Axis' forge shattered to pieces and most of the intact infrastructure likely looted for parts.

It would be a lot more attractive solution if we had brought all of the Companions and Rhaella with us.

The Age of Heroes, after the Long Night definitely.
You know, at some point we need to make some kind of chart of time periods and pin paradigm shifting events to it. We know roughly some corresponding stuff native to ASOIAF from the canon timeline, but there's a bunch of D&D specific events which could at least be a bit less difficult to muddle out if you could tell what was "Dawn Age" stuff, what was "Age of Heroes" stuff, what was Valyria Rising contemporary, and so on and so forth.

Something to keep in mind, I don't know if this is even really an option, or if the paradox would just cause a squeeze of causality and squish us, or if indeed we might be biting off more than a bit than we can chew and a selection of Gods, among them even the ones we now consider allies like Yss, squish us flat since there's still a logic to allowing things to progress as they did. Many had long stretches of guaranteed power and at least a chance of bouncing back if they ever lost most of it.

The Age of Heroes, after the Long Night definitely.
That means about 8000 to 6000 years before our time, the Age of Heroes began with the Pact between Children and Men, had the Long Night in its middle and ended with the Coming of the Andals.

The Rise of Valyria is, according to the Wiki, somewhere in the exactly same area of time.
After the Long Night, before the Andal Invasion (obviously, since the Andals were leaving their lands primarily due to the Valyrian conquests)

Around 2000 years is not precise, but for our purposes enough.

Age of Dawn was generally considered to be "everything before 10.000 before Aegon".
