I kinda want to taunt the cursed fey land and plant a Heart Tree. Or a temple to R'hllor/Yss/The Ferryman. Just ... to rub it in. :V
Hm.
Hey, @Duesal, what was the ruling on raising Heart Trees in the Feywild?
I genuinely don't remember.

Stuff I remember:
[] Plane of Air fails even if we find one of the big floaty isles, roots too deep.
[] Plane of Fire fails unless it's next to Plane of Earth for the same reason, even with the fire-immunity of the trees.
[] Plane of Water, see above, needs bordering Plane of Earth.
[] Valyria = cursed shit in the soil, gotta be real careful the closer the tree to Valyria proper.
[] Hellven = giant skylight with angery old men's curse-words written on it, will attract literally everything everywhere to it.

So, the Feywild-mirror around Highgarden is hostile territiory.

No big deal, but if we plan on building outposts in that realm we should choose other locations.
That, or just apply some Mythic Shadow of Doom on top mixed with ample use of Jungleraser (maybe permanent Jungleraser effect items?) to scorch the place squeaky clean.
You know, the usual over-doing of things we do :V

This seems like it would only change the tools of the curse (from hostile green stuff to hostile ash-related stuff) not actually solve the problem.
We propably can't just burn down a divine curse, no matter how hard we burn.

It was that it's perfectly safe, just make sure the tree is guarded. Do it enough and the Old Gods help impose their will on that area of the Feywild.

We can also lasso a portal to one place, it just doesn't prevent new portals from popping up. So let's get one or two portals for our own use.

Report from R'hllor's campaign
I'm rather unwilling to push Azel to writing this stuff. He barely just recently pumped out Q and Marw's Adventure set-up, I'd feel like an asshole setting up a time-limit for his interludes on Ymeri shit.

We have some other stuff to get reports on before that's the only thing left.

We don't need to know what exactly happened. Just the results. That said,

[X] Hold court for a day, in dragon form to stretch our wings.
-[X] Results from scrying and capturing Amory Lorch
-[X] Sarnori Transformation reports
-[X] Braavosi and Volantis rumours, if there's any.

Consecrating the place where Summer died (metaphorically) seems like a good idea.

Even if Heart Trees do nothing against the Star Crowned Queen's dying curse, Heart Tree support would be appreciated by the garrison.

It also gives Bloodraven eyes to see here against Winter. I don't trust the remains of the Court of Stars after the bullshit the Indigo Mask and Nairos pulled.

@Artemis1992, the problem is that if we ignore this place, it will become a bastion and breeding ground for anti-Imperial Fey. Occupying this place in spite of and ultimately breaking the curse is the price we have to pay here unless we want The Troubles - Reach Edition.

A hammer to the knee, eh? How daring and original!
:p

  1. There are certain esoteric transformations, like the one that allows them to heal and channel fire that would make procreation difficult without the aid of a trained flesh-smith.
Just checking: can they procreate between themselves?
  1. Is this a new species we've created?
  2. Or are they basically roided-up humans, completely infertile?
  3. Or are they theoretically fertile (no need to interfere with the male/female reproductive system to create them) but their bodies can't naturally produce some of the more magical organs they require to function?
    • I just had the mental image of a retired Praetorian couple having a child only for the child to be stillborn because it couldn't spontaneously grow a spell attuned to elemental Fire or something. Horrible stuff.
    • Actually, are there any Praetorian women? IIRC some of the places we rule had women sailors/soldiers and we never banned that, so I can't see why there wouldn't be any... Or is this a Space Marine situation, where you can't create female ones for plot reasons? 🤮
Actually, what's our policy for soldiers who get pregnant? Previously I assume that female sailors/mercenaries just stopped working, but that sort of informal arrangement probably wouldn't work so well when they're in the Legion... Are they just given contraceptives? Is this something uncommon that's handled quietly as local commanders see fit? Or is there some kind of official policy for it like "fire them", "give them leave" or "shift them to working for the quartermaster" or something?

Results from scrying and capturing Amory Lorch

[] The Cleganebowl: It is long past the time for Gregor Clegane and Amoury Lorch to face what is coming for them. Have your people find, and deal with them once and for all.
----[] Tyene (Free Action), Oberyn, Sandor, 3x Erynies (for teleporting and overwatch purposes).
Sarnori Transformation reports
better get that at the month's end with all of the other Construct-building reports courtesy of Goldfish, methinks.
Or, at the very least-

[] Forge of Creation -- 2.0: With the Sarnor's pacification, there comes a much higher need for Warforged bodies than could ever have been expected. Now, that the arcane machinery of Forge of Creation was built once, it could be built again - but not without effort by those most skilled at the arcane artifice.
(Progress: 0/15 -- half of the original RA) - NOTE, start another Forge if action completed with too much Progress.
----[X] Anu the Warforged (4d6 Progress +1d6 via the Skymender), Mantarys Scholarum Branch (2d6 Progress);
----[X] Bodyguard detail, because the Skymender is precious: 2x Guardian Nagas (CR 10), 1x Verdant Phoenix (CR 15), 10x Vigilant Briars (CR 4), 5x Watchmoles (CR 6), 5x Glass Golems, 2x Heralds (CR 10), 3x Plant-Imbued Shadow Cats (CR 6), 1x Advanced Sorcerer Creature Snapdragon Leshy (CR 10), 5x Black Champions (CR 15), 50x Black Knights with Mobility Upgrade, 200x Spitters (to be buried around the work site)
with this.

The procreation part was intentionally left unclear, since it's not really easy to say from the get go. We do however have informed all volunteers about the potential consequences and pledged state of the art medical care if it becomes relevant.

Also, female Praetori are a thing. The process is not gender specific. No idea if we got any female volunteers yet though. Maybe Anya. She is already used to being buffer then most men.

Never came up yet. I'd say "contraceptives and leave if it happens anyway".

The Imperator approves of good Imperial citizens making more good Imperial citizens.

Maybe there are some temporary plumbing bypasses required to avoid boiling, er, body fluids. 😳

EDIT: We do produce safe and effective contraceptives in industrial quantities. At the rate we pay our people, the only excuse not to have some of the stuff in hand is it you actually want a kid for some reason.

If I can get both the Qyburn & Marwin Show and Ymeri wrapped by the weekend, I might just call dibs on Clegane Bowl.

Next chapter for Qyburn & Marwin is about 40% done.

This might be a dumb question, but can we fit our dragon form in court?
I think not in the current throne room, but the one in the Imperial palace is intentionally designed to accommodate both forms.

On that note, Imperial Steel throne? We have the spare capacity to make that happen and it would look fantastic.

On that note, @DragonParadox, we kitted the Praetori with Imperial Steel, not Valyrian Steel. Only the best for our elite killer squads.

Hm.
As far as locking down the former CoS residence, methinks one Heart Tree per every sub-Court within CoS we destroyed (those that survived included, 'destroyed' is more metaphorical here), with heavier guard on them than the usual sort?

Should get the place nice and safe from other Fey with how semi-Fey OGs are.

This might be a dumb question, but can we fit our dragon form in court?
...define "fit".
:V

Let's maybe get a report on SB while DP isn't too tired to roll, y'all?

  • [X] Operation Salted Earth - Part 2: The situation in the Ghiscari lands continues to be tense, but for now it seems viable to scale back operations and merely observe Baator's movements. Recent attacks should have disrupted the enemy's plans enough to move your assets to more pressing fronts while keeping a decently sized contingent to look for further developments.
-[X] New Ghis: Keep investigating the Green Grace, Nandazda Aoq; the Praetor of the People Gramdal mo Ia; and see about other important figures in the cities political landscape. See who could be swayed to assist in the Imperial takeover of the city, who can be bribed, and who can be blackmailed.

-[X] Yunkai: Recoup the losses from the previous month and see about learning more about Baators supply routes in the area by tracing the origins of the poison used against the Inquisition. Preferably also look into acquiring its formula.
