So how bad do ya'll want Viserys to just fuck these people up? We've not been able to use Time Stop in the last two or three high end fights for various reasons, so this is a chance to be a complete asshole.

How far the assholery-scale "capture them all without allowing them as much as a single shot back" counts?
Because I wanna be that sort of guy right now :V
And always, but that's beside the point

As will the Vilderavn.

I am excited about this fight.

Also I realized we neglected to calculate XP for the entire Court of Stars thing, mainly from shattering the Violet Court.
that's a good point we completely forgot about the xp of kill an entire fate court. that's slightly baffeling to think about

@Goldfish I want you to be a giant gaping case of goatse to these things.
"Capture them by puttign them in a bottle" becomes far more menacing in the context of "horrible things".

This, but with a Jabberwocky.

So one thing we aren't considering.

This Jabberwock and the raven dudes are almost certainly guarding some kind of treasure.

Wanna bet that's what the Maester was going after?

There's a preeeetty good chance he might use this distraction to slip past us and the guardians, so if we wrap this up in one or two rounds we might be able to stop that.

Risky click of the day.

Or we were bamboozled by the Fey with a potential connection to the Court we destroyed.
you know, one of the two :V
Yeah, I mean, it's possible this was her trying to get us to pick a fight with something we might not be able to... but as high powered encounters go, a Jabberwock honestly isn't the worst one or a high powered caster, like you said. We've come out of worse fights, albeit with more versatile casters beside us like Lya and Dany.

I think that this is honestly where the Maester intended to go, tbh @Goldfish, @egoo.

The guy was looking for some way to slay dragons, and this being the Feywild, the irony of the Jabberwock's lair being where to go to find that seems plausible.

Could he have been the galaxy-brain to intentionally leave the lead and know we'd follow?
:o

To do so and lead someone he felt would trail him to a certain doom, perhaps, but not know who would take up the trail after it was discovered.

Though, thinking about it, I think the Misfits and co. weren't Mindblanked?

So, conceivably, he was looking into this matter to escape at the start of this month, and, given that he is expecting us to act soon, in his usual battery of divinations found the Imperium's agents to be active in Oldtown, then subsequently sussed out what they were going after.

He decides then to set things up along the way, not arguing or stipulating harshly that Swift-Eye not sell-out to us, because he didn't trust Swifty to begin with and wanted to use that almost reflexive betrayal of trust as a lure. Then he made a deal with someone from the Golden Court (the sprite) who is perhaps less sanguine than most of her number about us, and she was more than eager to put in the path of the Jabberwock once she realized just how big a catch they really got, not just a team of powerful PCs, but the big kahuna himself.

Okay, fine, so maybe I want Perestan to be galaxy-brain meme too. It does seem kinda funny that the habitual schemer and conspiracy Maester would try to do everything in a "planned ten steps ahead of you fashion".

This is why we let the Inquisition stab a fucker. Because then they can draw blood and we can use that to teleport straight to them and mess them up.

The type of people we'd have to teleport to in the first place are careful enough about being punctured and leaving around blood samples that the Inquisition can't just keep stabbing them to death.

Stabbing works pretty good most of the time, too.
