Do you have a link to the discussion? I'd like to jump down the rabbit hole but I need a starting point first.
Yep, here you go:

Dimensions of the Warhammer World.

Just flicking through the 6th Edition Tomb Kings book and noticed it had a map of Nehekhara. With a scale. Oh dear, Im betting youve guessed whats coming... The distance between the Great Ocean and the Gulf of Medes at the closest point, appears to be approximately 1,000 miles...

Miles, or km as @NexusEye quoted? Because the latter is about the size of Earth, not twice as much.
Miles.

Cool yes. Cold means that joints freeze shut and flesh degrade rapidly with motion. You'd have undead, but not movable ones without simply pouring more Dhar in.
Fair enough.

or anything that won't last at least a few centuries,
Dawi last a few centuries. Umgi don't. If they think that that makes one worth painting and not the other then that has additional implications.
Why splotch on a bit of fragile canvas when you could carve their image out of stone instead?
Because colors are pretty. Personally I find a well done portrait just more aesthetically pleasing than a stone mural or engraving.

If that's just me being an Umgi, well, I don't deny it. So are all the current and future Wizards of K8P though, so I don't see a problem with it.

I'm an idiot. I always read this as there being some interesting unreplicable spell Luuk found that transforms dragons into humans under certain conditions. But it's literally Luuk managing to integrate a Ghur version of Mathilde's Matrix, probably after he idly observed some other Ambers trying and failing to adapt it outside of Altar level enchantments and playing around with the concept himself.

I'm sure that others must have pointed this out back when the chapter in question was fresh, but I don't really have time to read everyone's comments so I never noticed until now. Wow.
Nah, there's just a lot to catch. It's part of what makes rereading so entertaining.
It is my belief that Mathilde is fairly shorter than Panoramia. Not, like, species-gap shorter, but she's normal and we're small. Ergo, Mathilde is on her horse so that the relationship is equal.

(Accusations that I couldn't get her off of the horse without having to redraw her are baseless, I would like to say.)

I like that Panoramia either consists of 90% hair, or strapped a wooden plank to her back.

Panpan is
one inch taller than Mathilde. (Just enough to niggle at someone sensitive about their height?) :V
(If you stand them next to each other they're almost the same length, but Mathilde's knees are bent so it's hard to tell.)

I looked to the Jade Wizard Arcane Mark table for a justification, and found one. Rapid Hair and Nails; they grow at an alarming rate, so the wizard has to trim them every day if they want to keep them at a reasonable size.
