dammit I should have commissioned Johann and/or Pan from the artist that I got Mathilde from! That would have helped the vote I'm sure of it!

Alas I had already promised it to my players. Oh well. They were happy with their PC and I keep my promises.

If I could bring a topic to discussion.

What character is a good stand in for Panoramia? I used poison Ivy once, but that doesn't seem the best choice.

Like I can use Akko from Little Witch Academia for Mathilde. And Johann is pegged as Alex Louis Armstrong from Fullmetal Alchemist. But I've got no clue for Pan.

Poison Ivy is probably better linked to Cadaeth.

Can't think of an appropriate Panoramia character.

Dragon's Breath creeping up to a tie in college purchase.

I think one big argument against it is that if we spend 20 favor, it's going to be hard to justify every replacing it. And... we can do better. We can make our own enchanted multi-wind object with windherder someday. It's going to be a lot less painful to put a 5 favor item aside than a 20 favor item.

Regarding the polyamory thing, other than the fact that I was hoping for a MJP triad from the beginning, I also believe that there is a good chance that Panoramia won't have much of a problem with being non-exclusive.
Other people have already established that there is little reason for the popular gods of the Empire to be against homosexuality. So there's nothing saying that it might very well be something that gets more or less openly talked about even in high society. That said, Taal & Rhya are very likely in favor of marriages with copulation and conception, Sigmar looks fondly on alliance building among humans, population increases and keeping dynasties alive, and fertility cults are about, well, fertility. On top of that at least among nobility marriage is about alliance and inheritance, and nobility are the ones that usually make up the more enshrined laws and social norms. So while I don't think there's anything in the way of people in the Empire living in homosexual households, I still think that marriage as an institution would be a heterosexual thing predominantly everywhere where people have valuable property and that many of the Empire's homosexuals would be pressured into marriages and continuing the bloodline without that necessitating that anyone expects them to break off their prior relationships.
Yes, that might lead to the Empire considering homosexual relationships less "serious", similar to many ancient European societies. Which is unfortunate. But all in all, I don't think that the idea of non-exclusivity would be in any way foreign to Panoramia and that, as long as it doesn't happen in the NRE phase she wouldn't necessarily even feel hurt or wary.
Personally I would prefer a Δ relationship over a V anyway, but I expect those to be more rare (though not unheard of in gossip) in the Empire.

Anyway, all this is just my own speculation and I'm not going to insist on trying to achieve it. For now Mathilde is far too inexperienced to be looking for more when she hasn't even figured out how the two person relationship actually works in practice.

I quite like this one.

Even though it doesn't speak to me, it seems like a relatively good fit.

Whichever ends up working best for future writing.
And I assume that they might have done handholding and casual touching of hair and clothing, but nothing off screen beyond that yet?
There's an apparatus of support staff under the Dean that take care of that sort of thing.
How good of a childhood does the Grey College actually provide? I'm imagining something a bit stricter (and with more punishment beatings) than an old-timey boarding school. Maybe better (though more specific) education and less luxuries. But not quite movie medieval orphanage or convent and definitely not Marienburg orphanage.
As to how, there is no how, anymore than there's a how to how the AV transforms into the Winds on contact with concentrations of them. I expect it to transform into whatever flavour of magical energy it touches. Touch it to a concentration of Ranald energy, and I expect it to transform into more of Ranald. Touch it to a concentration of Dammerlichter energy,
That is not how it works. When exposed to one Wind or to Dhar, it becomes eight Winds. Why would it react differently to other stuff? But sure, after the expedition is over I personally won't stand in the way of dipping our Coin in it or whatever.

I would personally expect to keep using it for the foreseeable future. We'd first replace the Candle, I think.

Frankly I don't think we can do better. Not in any reasonable timescale for any actual realistic amount of AP to expect the thread to spend.

Is there actually any argument from people who prefer "[PURCHASE] No Purchase" over the portrait thing, or is it just people who haven't seen the portrait idea yet or can't be bothered to change their vote to support something that's already winning anyway?

[X] [DWARF] Runesmith briefing on Karag Dum (2 gallons AV)

Could be super useful. Also worldbuilding opportunity. Not a huge expense.

[X] [PURCHASE] Commission a painting of the duckling club together from an artist.

I like this.

[X] [COLLEGE] Aqshy item emulating Dragon Breath (20 Favor).

I continue to believe that we need a nuke. The behavior of the Spellburner Rune on the Belt of the Unshackled Mountain, which would cancel out an explosion if we attempted to target it on ourselves, removes my only real complaint about the Dragon Breath item, which was that it doesn't serve as a panic-button self-nuke.

[X] [COLLEGE] Item of Light's Demand: 5 Favor
[X] [COLLEGE] No purchase.

I don't believe in spending favor like water.

In no particular order: Too much of a death flag for my taste. We didn't do it before Drakenhof or the K8P expedition, so it's weird to start now. And most importantly, dwarves work with stone :V

It's a nice idea though, so I'm not inclined to argue seriously against it.

I'm looking forward to seeing the arguments for the 20 CF item again next turn.

I like the dragon breath item. That nicely circumvent the 'dur explosion' roundabout the thread was stuck on for awhile and accomplishes nearly everything I wanted. Mathilde isn't really suited to being a walking seige engine anyway, and I'm pretty sure she can already take down doors and gates with Branulhune's rune.

What she needs is a strong anti-platoom weapon, as she is already a strong 1v1 combatant but suffers in 1 vs many situations.

Her namesake maybe? :V

More seriously, What about Cornelia from W.I.T.C.H? Her adult form obviously. She's blond rather then a red-head but Pan doesn't have a canon hair colour.

Edit: Cornelia in the Avatar state and her normal powers. @Shovern
I appreciate the suggestion, but even if I worked on the coloring, the outfit just doesn't match the way the others do.

Also I did considerate female Pan, but the main reason I wanted a fictional character expy, is due to how much more flexibility it gives me in terms of finding different poses and the like, while maintaining consistency. (Look at Mathilde in the stand image for reference).

Does anyone know where the post is regarding the rules and price tags for library purchases?

I'm trying to remember why we go for Esoteric for Imperial expansions on a topic while going for Antiquarian for Dwarven ones.

Also @BoneyM what kinds of unique insights do Bretonnian books of things usually give us? Especially on the subjects of the Karaz Ankor, anatomy, engineering and Greenskins I have a hard time imagining what an Extensive Bretonnian collection adds that a basic Bretonnian collection plus an Extensive Imperial & Dwarven one wouldn't already cover in full.

On the subjects of Ranald and Skaven on the other hand I don't doubt that they have unique insights, I'm just really curious as to what they are. Like, what are uniquely Bretonnian opinions and mythologies on Ranald and how do Bretonnians deal with the Threat Below?
