Good night guys, see you tomorrow as we move into the end game in Astapor
I have faith. Eventually, we will get that Deimavigga.
Really?@egoo, you are missing all the other stuff we have assigned to the Inquisition. Those forces are also explicitly meant as on-demand combat troops.
We're up to 43 Glass Golems, BTW.Really?
I kinda assumed that stuff goes fully intothe shadow realmthe familiar dimensionthe background, justifying the Inquisition's boundless reach and ridiculous on-demand firepower, so we don't have to deal with matters they handle, at least on-screen?
The stuff above is mostly the Units for on-screen action, or at least stuff DP will likely be rolling actual encounters for.
I mean, sure, we can probably draw from it for one task or the other, but do we actually want to?x2 Orphne Fey Lords (CR 15)

It has always been my assumption, which is why we have a lot of undead meat-shields in the Inquisition, but none in that vague "general pool of stuff".Really?

I-It has always been my assumption, which is why we have a lot of undead meat-shields in the Inquisition, but none in that vague "general pool of stuff".
For example, the Myrkdreki from the Inquistion is Osryx, who has been on a few assignments over time.
The two in general circulation are "the twins". They were supposed to have their appearance in the abortive omake series of mine, but I'll hopefully get around to use them somewhere else one of these days.I-
But-
Didn't he-
Okay, I guess I'll have to actually slap a name on that drake in the list and keep track of any further outstanding non-minion characters' names, then.
Shit.
I just tried to do a Google search for Secret Agent Dragon, since the idea of a James Bond-esque Myrkdreki sounded interesting. For example, the Myrkdreki from the Inquistion is Osryx, who has been on a few assignments over time.
There's a reason why I leaned a bit on spy comedy tropes when writing Osryx for the parts of Artisans Pride set in Oldtown.I just tried to do a Google search for Secret Agent Dragon, since the idea of a James Bond-esque Myrkdreki sounded interesting.
Turns out there isn't much relevant artwork available. Also, there is apparently an old movie called Secret Agent Super Dragon that doesn't look nearly as amazing as it sounds.
Make it Imperial Steel so devils can't cheat by dumping wildfyre on it.So, bringing up old ideas...
Remember the construct swarm made from adamantine fidget spinners with blades? That thing could find some use in our army or the inquisition, right?
Make it Imperial Steel so devils can't cheat by dumping wildfyre on it.
Those are both uaeful, but not for most of our people, since they're only good for Maguses.Found some gear that might be useful for Valaena/potential Imperial Mummy Lords: Ring of Arcane Mastery and Spellstrike Gloves
Give them items is just plain cheesy, they can't operate them without it being utterly silly. If we're going to go for swarm creatures, we should go full horror about it. Imperial Steel clad Spider Collective with an at will item of Shadow Jaunt and a 50 charge item of Cold Iron Fetters. Suddenly being buried in a human sized mass of tiny metal spiders, which jump out of the shadows and chain you to the ground, would be pretty terrifying.
If we want to go full cheap shot we drop the CIF, and exploit the fact that Spider Collectives subject anything they attack or engulf to their poison by giving it a wand of venomfire. Bonus evil overlord points if the VF wand comes in a two pack with an Excruciating Deformation SLA.
So the human sized mass of metallic spiders can now jump out of the shadows, engulf you, inject magical acid into your veins, and (temporarily) maim all your limbs while subjecting you to blinding pain.
... is this better or worse than what the Valyrians did with their flesh forges?
Ahhh, Volcano Zombies. On that note, we should check if we can make Spellgorged Zombies from creatures with SLA's. They can store arbitrary spells at a rate of 1 spell level per HD, so a 8 HD version could store a full Shadow of the Doom and unload it on command.
Every secret police could do with a few pocket nukes.
Fair enough, I wasn't sure what the exact bounds for adding SLAs like this was and figured we over equip most minions enough that it'd fit in.Give them items is just plain cheesy, they can't operate them without it being utterly silly.
Better to just program those spells into them. A swarm of constructs spiders made of magical metal should be pretty top-end anyway.
