You're the reason Viserys and all of the Companions are now wearing charms with a constant Spell Immunity effect blocking the Magical Backlash spell. So it seems like WBL-omancy was a traditional art for the Sarnori. I bet the higher ups in that horde have similar amounts of shit running around, which means we can use the the most irritating spells in the game.
To make their own buffs hurt them:
Magical Backlash
Reciprocal Gyre
To take away their buffs:
Spell Scourge
To make them lose spell slots:
Stars of Mystra
Arcane Turmoil
Spellcrash
To put Clerics in time out:
Divine Interdiction
Granted this is more a list of "how to fuck over the companions" than anything else, but using it on these guys would be fun.
The shitty part about that is there's another spell that does almost the same thing, so even with that ring our opponents can still just use Reciprocal Gyre to try the same thing. You're the reason Viserys and all of the Companions are now wearing charms with a constant Spell Immunity effect blocking the Magical Backlash spell.
/isn't paranoid, since they really are out to get us!
While that is dangerous and we might want to avoid getting subjected to it, Reciprocal Gyre is a higher Spell Level and thus even harder to spam like you suggested people might try with Backlash. The shitty part about that is there's another spell that does almost the same thing, so even with that ring our opponents can still just use Reciprocal Gyre to try the same thing.
That's a good point; I guess I'm just paranoid about the possibility of Viserys getting imploded by his own buffing scheme. Thats a really humiliating way to go; it's like slipping and getting impaled on one of the many superfluous spikes on your own doom castle. While that is dangerous and we might want to avoid getting subjected to it, Reciprocal Gyre is a higher Spell Level and thus even harder to spam like you suggested people might try with Backlash.
Reminds me of that one time we used all our buffs in the Dreamlands of Essaria and basically rang the dinner bell for Nurgle. That's a good point; I guess I'm just paranoid about the possibility of Viserys getting imploded by his own buffing scheme. Contingent Heal would probably negate the first Gyre to hit Viserys. Whoever cast it on him, and probably a couple of football fields worth of his general direction, would very quickly come to learn how close we are to excluding the 'Shadow' from the Doom. That's a good point; I guess I'm just paranoid about the possibility of Viserys getting imploded by his own buffing scheme. Keep in mind that the lady you take as example is from the earlier days of Sarnor. So it seems like WBL-omancy was a traditional art for the Sarnori. I bet the higher ups in that horde have similar amounts of shit running around, which means we can use the the most irritating spells in the game.
These guys are also using Sarnori from different time periods tho.Keep in mind that the lady you take as example is from the earlier days of Sarnor.
By the time the Dothraki came magic was waning, so there where propably less high-end items going around.
@BronzeTongue linked the old version of that spell, BTW. The newer version has a much higher damage potential, but is also much saner. Rather than spell levels affecting the target, it's actual spells. Even at maximum buffocity, he isn't likely to have more than 12 to 15 spells in effect simultaneously, but more often it would be 6 to 8. So rather than having to save for half damage against 25d6, he's more like to have to save against 6 or 8d12. In big battles, though 12 to 15d12 is still a very hard hit.Contingent Heal would probably negate the first Gyre to hit Viserys. Oh and by the way, it's not all about control.
