Maybe Maelor can finally take reins? He is in high favor with us and we have been training him to rule.
Maelor is busy doing far more important things in the City of Brass. When the time comes he can either build a city or pick one that isn't already ruled, but for now we need him where he is.

EDIT: Faceless'd.

@DragonParadox, would you mind laying out what Maelor would like in a city of his own for future reference? Distance from Sorcerer's Deep? Port city or no? Preferred culture to rule? Would he like to build his own from scratch or pick out a pre-existing one?

  1. Decent sized existing city
  2. Good trade prospects
  3. Not too cold (anything at a latitude above the Neck in Westeros excluded)
  4. Having a Scholarum built would be a plus

He might set his sights really high...

Maelor: <looking around at the cityscape of the City of Brass> "There are no bear asses in this city."

Hm, I would suggest F!Renly if he was not about to be indisposed to search for his original.

Let me think about this for a bit.

Ya'll think Amrelath might like to rule Omber in our name? I know he's got other long term goals, but I'm sure he would like to have a big plot of land to call his own and it would do good things for his draconic pride.

Nothing says he can't be an absentee ruler, only returning occasionally to do some lording over the Omberi.

We wanted, and should encourage, Amrelath to rule over the Salamanders. This is a good idea because it makes a decent ready-made Imperial extraplanar holding and gives us some economic stake in the Plane of Fire plus a military staging ground.

What is the deal with Morosh?
Azel updated the maps awhile back to color it in, and uncolor Norvos. @egoo accidentally colored in some areas and forgot to color in others, like the Painted Mountains which by this point we are exerting some amount of control over and building within.

Here's the updated versions:

Yeah yeah, I'll re-do stuff in the maps... eventually.
Not too interested right now, tbh.

I meant, whatis the current political situation of Morosh? Is it where Vargo the ruler of Sallosh comes from?

See above, you can just replace those two with them.
I... suppose so.
*sigh*

I've invested a lot of effort into drawing my own layers over the existing maps, and ordering them, after azel left for the first time.
These new ones he made are more exact, true, wahtever.

But starting to use them would mean me having to apply my layers all over again. Since I'm kinda the one who keeps the maps overall, aside from Destrark's hand-made one.
Which I'm not ready for right now, it is just too mind-numbingly boring.

Eh, they'll keep for now. Just bookmark them and come back to them when you feel like it.

@Goldfish off-topic, we should throw gear at Yrten and Siduri. I took a peek at Siduri's character sheet and it was appallingly short on magic items!

I'm honestly not seeing the point of playing this game with them and appointing a lord. A governor is just as well, and it comes with a bonus of less dynastic games, not to mention overall we'd have more direct control of the region.

Lookimg at the map, once we purge the ubdead we will be able to advance hard on the Dithraki sea. So much land to be colonized!

[X] Create a Council of Princes in the province and appoint a local lord as the interim governor until Imperial Administration has caught up with the area. From thereon, depending on if the Council manages to act within the clearly outlined guidelines given to them, pointing toward successfully cooperative areas under Imperial Administration by a local governor, such as Myr or Braavos, both of which elect from among their number a ruler rather than having it be generally a direct appointment by the Crown, such as Volantis or Tolos, you will allow them to join among the former number rather than the latter. That measure of autonomy will be the gift of those who are able to keep corruption low and prosperity high. Failure to meet that standard will see the privilege taken away.

This will make them compete productively by working together among some of their number, rather than have everyone at each other's throats trying to replace whoever we appoint.

To be clear there would be general unrest because of everyone walking away unsatisfied with the loss of potential royal favor.
