That's why I don't feel it important enough to argue. It is just too much of a fine distinction for a name we just came up with.
Having a backstory behind your name is important if your origin comes up in conversation, since it distracts from other details that don't quite add up.

Regardless, we actually know how to speak Terran and we have high knowledge skills, so we're probably covered.

I also like how everyone just humors me when I give Richard a name that is basically just "Richard" if you are skimming the update.

Gotta call him something he'll actually answer to quickly enough, right? :V

Well, Char sounds like a fire Pokemon, so that's why my mind wandered towards the efreeti side...

I'm sleepy and it's still 9 PM here.

Sucks when we can't have gear specifically designed to fuck people over, but on the other hand we have a suite of buffs that are perpetually active which are generally good in all situations... and gear that is generally effective against everything.

We are covering our few gaps by including a little gear that's better against certain stuff, so there is that.

Then again Dragonfoe Amulets are pretty specialized gear and would probably be useless most of the time since true dragons are super rare.

I'm surprised Dragonfoe amulets haven't been spammed against us.

Lucan probably has gear/artifacts with this effect from his sugar daddy though.
Those are pretty nifty, but fairly expensive and super niche. If our enemies want to use resources to acquire them, that's probably better for us, since they wouldn't be using their funds for more generally useful stuff.

Also, the most significant effect, the double roll to overcome a Dragon's Spell Resistance, is of less usefulness against Viserys since he gets higher SR from Dany's spell-based Persistomancy, which the amulet shouldn't have any special ability to bypass.

That Persistomancy is probably something that really fucking pissed off 100% of every enemy we've made, since I bet a lot of their battle plans were basically "this would be really fucking easy if they weren't all constantly warded to hell".

Yeah, it's beautiful. We could actually make it even more effective, but I've held back for fear of pushing things a bit too far. Doing so would also limit Dany's ability to use Divine Metamagic a little more than I'm comfortable with.

No, it's perfect where its at, to be honest. Dany should be able to use everything on her tool belt, seeing as how we can cover any gaps with money.

Yeah, I prefer keeping some daily Turnings in reserve for utility and emergency use.

If we weren't doing that, though, and she was inclined to mix it up in melee, Dany could keep Divine Power and Righteous Might active on herself 24/7.

That would set her Base Attack Bonus to +17 and her Strength attribute to 22 (along with +21 Temp HP, +4 Natural Armor, +4 Constitution for another +34 HP, and DR 15/Good, plus growing to at least adult-size).

Give her a +5 Valyrian Steel Heavy Mace and add bonuses from her Persistomancy, and her attack line would look like this: +33/+33/+28/+23/+18 (1d8+14; x2)

As if she wasn't already scary enough...

Give her a pimped out weapon and the lack of other martial abilities could be made up for with that absurdly high attack bonus. One that is highly lethal just by making contact, basically.

Fill up those five remaining effective Enhancement bonus slots with a bunch of Bane effects (Magebane, Evil Outsider Bane, Undead Bane, Fey Bane, and Aberration Bane) and it would add a minimum +2 Enhancement bonus and +2d6 damage to most significant threats, with a lot of potential stacking against a lot of enemies. Almost all Fey and Evil Outsiders would also proc Magebane, for a +4 Enhancement and +4d6 damage, or Fey Bane, Undead Bane, and Magebane for +6 Enhancement and +6d6 damage against the Others.

Dany could also prepare spells like Weapon of Energy and Weapon of Impact for additional effects.

Basically, she could totally become Super Magical Dragon Girl Rambo if she wants to.

@DragonParadox Something that's been bothering me, if you're going to do a breakpoint vote, just roll a random encounter.

It feels so much less like a D&D game without those tables being rolled on when entering a new place or starting a new story arc, anyway.

Fair point, I've gotten a bit out of the habit of since you guys have been wandering around places where random encounters would not be much of a threat to Viserys regardless.

Yeah but if you need a convenient stopping point, you don't need a threat just to artificially inflate investment, you just need a more interesting scene instead of flaccid discussion inducing decision points.

Besides, right here and now there could be actually relevant encounters.
What if there is some kind of gate-tax and an inspector actually asks us to show the contents of our extraplanar bags?
We could be smuggling anything from alcohol, over slaves to nukes in that coat.

Nothing living (or undead) can enter the cloak, but fair point on the rest.
Wouldn't this drive off pretty much anyone of sufficient power to make this journey? Neither Angels nor Devils are sufficiently renowned for bribery working on them. The problem with the "anyone with any business being here had better be legitimate" wouldn't gel with the sheer pragmatism of the knowledge the only business either group is going to get is from those who absolutely do not want their business here being traced, with all of the deterrents of the local garrison, as well as the risk of bringing down unwanted attention from IT nearby, generally dissuading any large scale funny business.
