It makes sense but, much like the fey, it is extremely infuriating. To the point where it is tempting to burn it all and be done with it.
That leads to lords suffering enough that Melisandre would feel a twinge of disquiet over the whole thing. Lya would feel far more than a twinge over mass assassination of mostly peaceful fey by ritual.
When you say peaceful do you mean that they aren't willing accomplices to mass mind control? Because that does matter. That leads to lords suffering enough that Melisandre would feel a twinge of disquiet over the whole thing. They are though, they just get power and immortality as a tradeoff, which is much more than the people here are getting. They are also doing it without real informed consent, nor for that matter any consent aside from the lords', which is something we should explicitly ban as part of our smallfolk rights reforms if we haven't already, by the way. They don't see it as mass mind control, they live under rules far more stringent than what they are anchoring all the time and do not consider themselves as being enchanted or mind controlled.

Yeah, the more I find out about this fey plot the less happy I am about it. And I was already pretty pissed regarding the subject.Kinda not seeing us dealing with this at all before we have the CoS broken anyway. I'd rather look into ways to attack the court leadership directly without being subject to Feywild shenanigans, since that is becoming a much more urgent concern with every step we take in the Reach.
False equivalence, Xor didn't understand what he was unleashing since the plague didn't do the things he was told it would do, he just trusted someone who he didn't know was untrustworthy. He also didn't understand enough about mortals to grasp the negative effects even a plague working as advertised would have.Even if that is the case, being mistaken is not the same thing as being morally culpable, so Lya can still consider them peaceful, just as she can consider Xor peaceful, though he played in error a part in unleashing a plague on Lys.

That's good. We can leverage that. We have a lot more damning evidence of fey activity then we did previously.Yeah, the more I find out about this fey plot the less happy I am about it. And I was already pretty pissed regarding the subject.
This rings untrue. We have talked even mid ranked court of stars fey around because of how bad this could be.These guys understand exactly what they are unleashing and the negative effects it has, and they know that the Fae Courts are not trustworthy, since in the absence of mortals it would have been them who were the butts of the Noble Fae's jokes.

If we do this we should also get the old gods' help since they have the time domainHm.
I wonder if Yss' CR 30 Divine Bullshit can override the Fey control of Feywild if we pay well enough.
Bottom line, we have the Well of Eternity filled with a bit of stolen Timmie's power, probably enough to tear us a way out of Feywild if we get trapped in.
I'm sure we'll get plenty of sacrifices from the Court of Stars soon enough. I've got my fingers crossed for getting that Leanan Sidhe.[X] Withdraw the whole group for now, but only in order to find a new location in the Reach from which to continue their work undisturbed.
I will patiently wait as with Aegon for the day we can stick every fey bastard to the trees.
Edit: And by every, I mean as many as we can get our hands-on. Which I hope is a lot.
I feel like we can come up with something better than just sacrificing it to get rid of it. This is a CR 23 sacrifice. We fight those and win, but we almost never manage to drag them back for sacrifice. I want something fantastic out of this.Does anyone mind me penning in sacrificing the Red Dragon Orb to Yss for the next month?
@Goldfish,as the man I'm going to hand over planning the strategy for the fight?
We are powerful enough to take on that CR23 dragon by now, easily enough.
And I think that asking Yss for a "postponed favor" for it is good idea while we don't have anything time-sensitive.
Rushing around when we'll have to sacrifice the dragon for something will be... awkward, to say the least.
...And it's 5/8 chance that we won't even have to fight, really.
