The unexpected return of the Jade Sea Expeditionary Fleet to harbor by means of sorcery lead to a brief moment of confusion with regard to just how much the royal coffers have grown with its return. While many onboard kept meticulous notes regarding the various deals struck, not least where the paper on which those records were kept is concerned, no one was expecting so precipitous a return home. As the inhabitants of Sorcerer's Deep were not expecting an unknown Ironborn longship to be a part of the returning expedition, a fact which set quite a few hearts racing, the scales can be counted even there.
Once the value of the cargo in the ships' holds was assessed and its ownership established it was concluded that Red Scales Holdings, and thus the Crown, is richer by over four and a half million marks having returned by far the largest profit both comparatively and proportionally of any participant to the expedition. The combination of royal prestige, access to a vast array of unique trade goods, many of them wholly unknown in the markets of Yin, and the Harbinger's prodigious skills in striking advantageous deals has served the royal coffers well. Alas, the sheer scale of these transactions inflated the cost of sought after Yi Tish goods like spices, teas, silks and porcelain to the point where other major contributors who pledged coin to the expedition were not able to attain profits quite as high as anticipated.
Still, everyone did make a considerable profit with ironically enough the Brunes of Dyre Den making a small fortune from their own modest contribution simply because they did not have an envoy, thus the task was passed to the Crown. Young Valaena also did the legacy of Corlys Velaryon proud, though how much of that was trading acumen and how much was the presence of her dragon and her very visible implication in aiding the Azure Throne in several classified matters is uncertain.
As a minor aside, modern spell-steel weapons sold quite well, though there was some minor distaste with regards to 'blood magic' to be overcome. Traders who made the deals suggest making the broad generalities of the forging process known so as to counter some of the wilder rumors about it.

Also, Garin and Hermetia become even more stupidly, ridiculously wealthy...
Uthero and Ferrego and Doran do extremely well too, to no surprise.
And everyone else made around 100% profit, which is excellent. I mean, comparative pocket change, but it absolutely increases their liquid capital for future investments.

Here's an edited version of the chapter, @DragonParadox. I bullet pointed the investment returns for ease of reading.
Glad to see that our allies profited so greatly. Several of them made more on this trip than the treasury of Westeros has in liquid funds.
Tohbo Mott: "Right, this symposium was put together and approved by order of the Azure Throne and the Son of Heaven to expound upon the technical specifications and the forging process by which Valyrian Steel is made."
Qohorik Smith on retainer: "Seeing as how a live demonstration would be impossible, at least at this time, please imagine this stuffed toy to be the imp it depicts quite well through use of Fifth Circle magic."
Tohbo Mott: "Princess Rhaenys loves these, by the way, and they can be purchased through ACSEC by way of Silver Serpent Enterprises."
Qohorik: "Getting a commission, eh?"
Tohbo Mott: "I might have made a couple of investments."
Herald: "BEGINNING THE DEMONSTRATION. OBSERVE."
Herald breathes fire on the stuffed imp.
Excruciatingly lifelike screams emanate from the test platform.
Herald: "DEMONSTRATION COMPLETE."
Edit:
Viserys: "I'm not sure I understand. The price dropped by over 500% overnight? It still performs just as well, right?"
Garin: "Unfortunately, the Dragonsteel Symposium did not manage to expel the rumors regarding blood magic surrounding the final product."
Garin: "Incidentally, talismans which ward against fiends have increased in sales by around a third."
Tohbo Mott: "Right, this symposium was put together and approved by order of the Azure Throne and the Son of Heaven to expound upon the technical specifications and the forging process by which Valyrian Steel is made."
I think they were talking about the common +1 magic weapons, our smiths have a ritual allowing them to make them without being mages, that one is technically a blood ritual, but it's of the inflict non-permanent damage on yourself to use type.
Valyrian steel is better of course, but the fact that we can mass produce +1 weapons with common reagents, is also one of our specialties.

Why so few gold? House Royce is the only Noble House in the Vale that could rival it's own Lord Paramount. Naturally, this means that they're the only one that has the treasury to match. Due to the absence of Mountain Folks raid and our patronage, this would've made them slightly richer than their neighbours. Not to mention that most Targaryen Supporters has unified under their banner.
And there's also Waymar Royce's Alchemical Business to boot.

Long distance trading is untested waters for Yohn Royce so he put in a decent amount, but didn't stake his whole treasury on it. By contrast the Brunes for instance scraped every coin they could find. For them it was a show of loilaty as much of a business decision.

Hmm, I'm sure that number is nothing major in compared to ours.
But how much does this worth for Westerosi? As we all know, the entire Baratheon Royal Treasury has been gutted to nothing but 200.000-300.000 IM. Damaging the Western economy even further.
How much does 25.000 IM is worth to a minor house such as House Brune? What can they do with it?

It's quite a budget to build mills, villages, mines or something of the sort. For 25,000 IM, they could also pay the workforce to built an entire castle, though they would still need materials.
Or it's a good seed fund to get your own trading ship going.

How's the city of Yin doing in the wake of our fleet's departure, @DragonParadox? It had a significant presence, brought a ton of wealth and political upheaval, then disappeared overnight. That's gotta be worth a reverse rumor post.
Have we made any headway into acquiring a large portion of land in the Foreign Quarter?

Oh yes, particularly as Viserys did not want to have his first appearance in Yin to be as ship carrier so he just gave himself water breathing and did it from under the water to for any onlookers all the foreigners got on their ships and then they all just vanished one by one

Thought they just walked through a Gate portal? Thought it would be more straight forward to open one of those suckers up and just have everyone walk through it, disembarking in the Demiplane in Sorcerer's Deep while Viserys carried the ships to the docks where some more men from the Imperial Navy were waiting to get everything secure.
Which would be even more confusing for any onlookers, come to think of it...

That is indeed what happened, Viserys can't teleport hundreds in one go after all, but on one on shore saw the gate triggering, just tne empty ships going pop as they were carried away.
Do hope that people who invested with us enjoy all the money they got from this venture in general since everyone profited, even if not as extremely as we did ourselves.
I also expect more far eastern traders to make it far west after this as well.
