I was under the impression that the spell was kept up for a while, thus also affecting the Moonchasers crew when they join the convoy.
Either way, it's a bad plan due to guaranteed the friendly fire.
I just want to keep it up until the rest of the party comes back with the Moonchaser.

Giants are not really combat-relevant compared to things that can successfully attack the party, so this better protection than having all of them capable of seeing in my eyes.

Edit: Once we have the full party, the reinforcements and the Moonchaser I'm optimistic that we can take on attacks without BG.

I guess we could just use Mass Heal to deal with any blindness after the fighting... we'd have several more high tier combatants around by then to help protect the caravan also.

Have you ever tried to lead 100+ blind people and their assorted pack animals through the middle of bumfuck nowhere while being attacked?

Look. I genuinely don't care about things here, but intentionally turning that caravan into a chaotic mess seems like the least productive thing to do right now.

And this is assuming that this doesn't cause a mass panic and chaotic melee, just the run of the mill chaos of a large group of disoriented people.

The wording is a bit ambigous, but I think "Furthermore, evil-aligned creatures are blinded within this light. " means they are blinded while in the light, not permanently.

The animals should be 100% neutral, as I understand the rules.
If we have 2/3 of the giants keeping the rest together I'm optimistic.

THey don't have to march or anything for these following 2 hours, just sit down and not die.

Their handlers are blind though. Or the handlers are strained to keep track of additional animals. Especially as you also need more manpower to keep the blind people tended to.

Also, what's your plan? Suddenly striking them blind to cause a panic, or telling them beforehand and causing a sizable part of the low-WIS crowd to get out their spears and decide that they want to fight?

[X] Dany, Waymar, Tyene and Xor Windwalk to Craster's Keep to secure his family
-[X] As soon as the Moonchaser arrives everyone still alive gets in and they meet up with the caravan as fast as possible
-[X] Meanwhile everyone activates all 10 Min/CL buffs, they should easily last till midnight

Convinced I guess.

Animals are true neutral as a stand in for not having alignment.

I remeber why we usually ignore alignment based spells now.

Eh, I dont mind if you call it.

It seems pretty decided.

The thread also has a strong history of avoiding even slight risks for the sake of helping people. Actual confirmation that "you will be attacked by bad shit" is fairly deciding.

It doesn't seem like people are interested overly much in either the giants or the girl's family.

The first is... well, I take the blame for it being slow and in a non-ideal place, but it was sensible to do at this particular time IC.

The girl is a random encounter turned to plot hook turned to more random encounters in span of few chapters.
Makes sense IC, not really interesting or engaging otherwise.

Kinda true I guess, but at this point I just want to minimize what the Others can get out of this whole deal.

Winning, even if the stakes aren't really high on any side.

I see them getting any of the giants as more of a win than the girl's family.
They are simply... bigger, for a lack of a word, of a problem if Undead'ed.

They are clearly far more unusual of a creature than humans are.
I'm in no hurry to let even one, let alone up to dozens to fall into the Others' hands if we aren't guarding them well enough.

Bottom line, I dont want to fail on our main objective.
Like we did with Thenns already.

[X] You have learned from Thennhold. The risk is too great, and the safety of the giants, not Gilly's family, is your priority. The Moonchaser will reach the Keep soon enough.

The way I look at it, we have two absolute options.

Take a risk and win, or take no risks and lose and then have to clean up an even bigger mess. Our mere presence warps reality to cause us to almost shit the bed if we don't act.

Why?
A Wight giant is significantly less powerful than a regular human turned into a CR 13 Dread Wraith.

I think in terms of creating powerful undead from them only PCs matter, the differences between other people seem to have little weight.
Are all your encounters designed to produce Dread Wraiths now? Look I know that's pound for pound an efficient way to utilize HD, but it seems a bit silly that the faction characterized for wights is instead making an army of wraiths even if OOC that seems like a better army to have. Especially since as you pointed out that's just a bullshit way to magic up an army of high CR gribblies with no resource investment. At least sending five wyrmwraiths to die under our guns and PCs was a definite reflection of resources invested into a fight. Now they can't mass produce Dreadwraiths with five Wyrmwraiths.

If they can just dig around the pantry for a wraith factory in any given area we have basically already lost the entirety of the Far North. Mance and his people should be dead right now, and we have an army of 100,000~ wraiths INC. right now in the middle of summer.
