@DragonParadox, it looks like I forgot to include the +2 Competence bonus to Initiative Waymar gets from his Belt when I added it to his sheet. With that, plus the effects of a Combat Readiness spell, his Initiative bonus should be +16.

This is @Goldfish's plan, but it starts with massive explosions instead of wrapping a fucking towel around its head. And if this super-duper magic sword doesn't already bypass DR, then it doesn't deserve its hype.

[X] Plan boom
-[X] "Dance with me, then"
-[X] Waymar uses his Temporal Acceleration crystal as a Swift Action to gain the effects of Time Stop for two rounds.
--[X] First turn of Time stop : he moves up, puts an Explosive Launcher Round on the ground next to (or behind) the enemy. He uses his swift action to cast a Quickened Protection From Energy (cold) on himself. If he already has such an effect active from pre-mission buffing, he instead cast a Quickened Find the Gap on himself.
--[X] Second turn of Time stop : he puts another Explosive Launcher Round on the ground, and steps back out of range. He uses his swift action to activate his Belt of Battle, for another Full Action.
--[X] He uses his real turn's standard action to shoot his last Explosive Launcher Round, to detonate all three in the target's face. He then uses his real turn's move action to get back into melee.
--[X] Finally, he uses the Full Action from his Belt of Battle to use a Hasted Full Attack.
He activates his Arcane Strike ability using a 4th level spell (+4 bonus to attack rolls and +4d4 damage per attack this round) as a Free Action before attacking. If at any point he needs it to save his life or avoid defeat, he will use his Fate of One crystal as an Immediate Action to gain a reroll.

Edit : This plan assumes that a Launcher is like a crossbow, and that you can't Full Attack with it. Is that correct?

This is the very definition of anime bullshit.
[X] Talonofanathrax

*Waymar unsheathes his sword*
*instantly disappears and reappears behind his opponent's back, while in an explosion*
*Proceeds to sword unreasonably hard*

Omae wa Mou, indeed.

Explosive Packs are binary explosives that wouldn't reliably detonate in the manner you're proposing. That's why I decided against it in my own plan.

Waymar definitely already has Resist Energy (Cold) on him, though Protection from Energy wouldn't hurt.

The actions gained from using a Belt of Battle have to be the very next thing you use after activating it. You can't flip the switch, use other actions, then benefit from the belt's power. That's why I times it like I did in my plan.

Yeah, my plan goes for style. I mean, I could do better damage if it works (if this thing is vulnerable to fire, and depending on how DP rules combined blasts), but it's true that going for the double full attack might be mechanically superior. Hard to say without seeing it's stats.
Not half as cool though ;)

For some reason I had a weird thought of the Ice Princess binding with the sword if we win.

For her sake I hope that doesn't happen. It'd suck to involuntarily lose your body because of a dumb bargain your dad couldn't win.

Where is that rule from? I thought you could do actions in the order you want, as long as it's before the end of the turn?
A belt of battle helps you avoid being caught off guard in combat and allows occasional bursts of extra activity. While worn, it grants you a +2 competence bonus on initiative checks. This is a continuous effect and requires no activation.
In addition, a belt of battle has 3 charges, which are renewed each day at dawn.
Each time you activate the belt, one of the black pearls set into its buckle turns white. The pearls return to normal when the ring's charges renew. Spending 1 or more charges grants you an extra action, which must be taken immediately (before you take any other action).
1 charge: 1 move action.
2 charges: 1 standard action.
3 charges: 1 full-round action.
Also, the Explosive Pack-based bombs Waymar has don't inflict Fire damage, just bludgeoning/piercing.

  • [X] "Have you ever danced with the bronze warrior in the pale moonlight?"
-[X] Waymar uses his Temporal Acceleration crystal as a Swift Action to gain the effects of Time Stop for two rounds.
--[X] While Time Stop'd, he activates his earring to gain True Seeing for one minute if he isn't already benefiting from it, and takes up position behind the Champion.
---[X] He sheaths the cursed blade in Purity's scabbard to grant it the Good-aligned, Ghost Touch, and Keen Edge properties, then does whatever he can to obscure the Champion's vision, whether that mean bursting a Tanglefoot Bag on its head or wrapping a towel around its face.
----[X] Before the effect ends, he activates his Belt of Battle using all three charges to gain an additional Full Round Action.
-----[X] When the regular passage of time resumes, Waymar attacks the Champion from behind, using first the Full Round Action gained from his Belt, then his normal action allotment to do it all over again.

So I've been thinking about this and I'm not sure I can do the next encounter justice this late. This is a major moment for Waymar and I think it's probably best to just wait until tomorrow and to it right rather than rush it tonight.

Sorry I could not get the other updates faster today guys.

You can make it up to us by making the next update extra verbose? :V
