I thought the plan was to have a coronation on Empire Day. It was not voted on or anything so maybe I'm misremembering and in any case you guys would have to vote to have one.
The only reference to a coronation I've found lately was me saying that we really should get the palace construction going so that we can have one when the throne room is finished.

And my plan was to have the coronation in the 4th month to kick off the pacification of the western provinces.

It was indeed not voted on, it's one of those nebulous "when the time is right" things, like when Viserys marries Lya. Neither date is set in stone.

But I do agree strongly with Azel that I want those Serpentstone Recorders in place to immortalize the moment.

We can't declare ourselves Emperor without the other half of the de jure title that lends us the legitimacy to do so.

It's less that we can't do so and more that we would immediately kick off the war with that.

Especially if we follow my rough ideas for the coronation, which would include having oaths reaffirmed by our subjects, including those who gave them in private.

We're getting close. I'm really excited to finally conquer Westeros. All that diplomancing, all that dealing with Fey and Devils and Others, all of it finally paying off.

One long line of "look who stabbed a knife in your back while you weren't looking" to really rub it in.

It's important to make sure your enemies morale is as low as possible at all times. ☝

But Azel, that way the barbarians would soon pillage and raid the Towns and Cities that we're supposed to claim and flee to other corner of the Continent

I don't want to trudge through multiple-miles of swamp, mountains, or snowy tundras. I want them to stay put as we gutted each one of the barbarian lords to the Old Gods.

Everyone, I have the perfect date for the wedding !

Viserys should marry Lya on the second day of the tenth month of this year. It'll be the 5-year anniversary of the date they met!
Otherwise, we should do it on the 5-year anniversary of their first kiss, or something. But I couldn't find that update to figure out the date, so whatever.

Have the ceremony be on the moon.

"I can't give you the world, yet. So instead, I'll give you the next best thing."

And name the spot: "Lya's Smile."

"The Maiden is always filled with compassion and willing to hear the pleas of the repentant" So said the Seven-Pointed-Star. Just to be sure he would repent, when he was on his death-bed old, honored and rich.
@DragonParadox, is this still true? Does Richard still plan on repenting on his deathbed for a better chance at heaven, or has he changed his mind now that he's been around us and our Seven-hating ways? Or did the discover of Hellven reinforce his desire to aim for a backup heaven?

Or does he still have the same plan, but with a different God in mind?

Or does he trust us to rezz him and/or build a better heaven before his time comes?[/spoiler]

The Sevens Heaven is unlikely to be Hellven anyway, they're just one of those religions, who has stolen an Outer Planes name for their afterlife.

Their first kiss was in Volantis at the Feast of the Crossing I think.

My point was that knowing that he basic Heaven had become Hellven might make him more anxious about getting into the Seven's Heaven.

Ser Richard has been part of plots against the Seven up to and including sacrificing one of their angels to the Old Gods. It's safe to say he has not further inclination to put his soul in their hands.

Richard has other concerns than bowing his head to non-secular authorities when submitting his proper forms for adjudication of his afterlife.

That is to say, avoiding those documents ending up in an Archduke's hands. Or a Daemon or an Angel for that matter...

The block is also very deliberately not connected to any of the planned wards and protections, magical only in the tongue of its inscriptions at Teana's suggestion. "I have lost count of how many otherwise daunting old protections I was able to take apart in Volantis because the ward-smith conveniently built one enormous centrally located keystone into them,"
:V Ha! Too true!

Well the rumour post seems winning, but I kinda wanna hear from this guy from a year IC ago:
Maybe after the next chapter.

Also @DragonParadox, are officially moving Empire Day on the First Day of the year, or are we still holding a 9 day celebration?
