Not gonna lie, upon reading that last sentence I genuinely expected the vote to be "which body do you invite to dance?" - possibly with each of them wearing some different outfit, or standing near someone semi-relevant (to make this choice mildly political).
It would have been stupid and we would probably have voted to dance with both at once somehow, so I'm happy I was wrong.

I know you love that Demi-Plane, but unless you want to have to decontaminate it repeatedly over the course of weeks, I'd rather make stone drums and carry them through.
not using the permanent Imperial Demiplane, but a temporary one. Viserys can create them easily enough now using Wild Arcana. To create one and link a pair of portal Gates to drain the lake would only require three uses of wild Arcana. The lake could be drained in minutes.

And then you shifted the problem of bottling up the lake of toxic mercury to Planetos.

Let's not.

The destination doesn't need to be Planetos, though. Once the lake is drained into the Demiplane, then another portal Gate can be linked from it to the destination, wherever that may be.

The Demiplane would last for a maximum of 22 days, so instead of immediately draining it to a Planetosi reservoir, we could instead open a portal Gate and fill stone containers at our leisure rather than repeatedly Plane Shifting filled containers.

That said, there are plenty of places we could safely stash a small lake's worth of mercury in Planetos, especially with the options magic makes available. However it actually gets done doesn't matter, though, so long as it gets done.

Just make the giant container in Planetos before you move the mercury. Shaping stone is easy, add lots of lead cladding over it for the radiation, done.

Uhm... the Demiplane can't hold a whole lake. It's significantly too small for that.

Which reminds me. As part of the Empire Day, we should finally start building the Imperial Palace. Then we can kick off the Reconquista by live-streaming our coronation to the hull of a Moonchaser over Kings Landing.
