It might be possible, but for me at least it'd be unsatisfying not to personally subdue the court and bind them to our will.
I don't think we can do that at a price we are willing to pay. I don't think the CoS were lying, or particularly exaggerating, when they told us that wearing the crown changes you. I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of those costs you can't be immune if you want the benefits of an item/effect.

We might be able to use it as a focus for a curse or something if we want to be more directly involved in screwing them over though.

Nobody wants to use the thing. We just need to consume it to absorb its power.

As an aside, I think we might need to invest in some support creatures to increase the quality of the nobility in Westeros before we invade.

Converting it into power is one thing, but I'm skeptical of our ability to use a fey symbol of lordship to take sovereignty from a court without exposing ourselves to backlash as part of its function.

No no no...

We don't use the Crown of MacGuffin to declare ourselves the new Fey King.

We destroy the Crown of MacGuffin to feast on it's mythic power, then calmly tell the Court of Stars that we are in charge of them now if they want to stay in the Prime Material, otherwise they can fuck off back to the Feywild. If anyone objects, he gets vaporized on the spot. Repeat until they get the message.

Where in the Nine Hells did you find this? Also yes. Can we make some? Please?
There are some fantastic plant creatures out there. Pod people would probably get us an armed uprising if we use it internally, as much as it might be an improvement in some areas. I'd really like some Cauldron Blooms and Bloodplate Bursters for the doom fortress and some areas in the major cities though, while we're on the topic of weird plants.

edit: dropped part of my post.

No one planned to wear the crown.

We were going to force the Court of Stars to swear fealty to us, or failing that, destroy the crown and devour the mythic power as @Azel said above.

So the bodythief, if dropped near a city can turn into a massive problem. The Cauldron Bloom is just an asshole. One that teleports with your loved ones inside it. The last one is cool.

[X] Crake

@Crake, did you mean Hindsight, rather than Touch of History? If not, I would recommend use of both.

Hindsight – Spell – D&D Tools

Complete list of all D&D spells, rulebooks, feats, classes and more!

Also, Viserys has a pair of Gloves of Object Reading he can use. It's not as powerful of an effect, but it's psionic in nature, so it might be helpful.

As for finding the culprit, few things are as effective as Discern Location, but there are some other possibilities, too. Once Hindsight gives us a good location and bearing to work from, Viserys could try a Bloodhound spell to gain the Scent ability. Assuming they didn't Teleport away at the first opportunity, that could lead us right to them.

Bloodhound – d20PFSRD

Could we just burn them all and be done?

I'm not exaggerating here, I like demons more than I like the Fey, and those assholes are trying to kill everyone.

At least when a Demon kills me it's because it actually hates I exist, not because it was bored and wanted to hear the song of a babbling brook by snapping my neck open and listen to the sound of me drowning in my own blood instead of stepping three feet into the bushes to look at the brook babbling right fucking there.

[X] Dany explains that if they would go through the trouble of using such a powerful curse to ensure his death even against strong healing magic, they could have easily afforded a convincing glamour. Why would Lady Fowler risk assassinating Lord Dayne wearing her own face if she can acquire something this rare? Unspoken is the fact that it doesn't seem likely anyone at all in Dorne possesses these resources in abundance in the first place, much less obscure death magic objects.
-[X] She offers to accompany Lord Dayne to the Palace and lend her skills to an investigation.
-[X] Meanwhile, you are going to try and locate that assassin with all the resources available to you while Winter carries word ahead to Prince Doran.
-[X] Viserys, in the guise of one of Prince Doran's mages, will Wild Arcana a Touch of History, as well as casting Hindsight and making use of his Psionic Gloves of Object Reading, upon the arrow in order to gain a lead in the investigation.
--[X] Further spells to track the culprit will be considered once more information is gathered.
-[X] Tyene will warn the Fowlers of the plot along with Waymar.

Fey are alright, in controlled dosages.

Face it, you don't hate Fey.

You hate rivals muscling in on your turf. This is called being a Dragon, it is quite natural.

Dragoning For Dummies:

" A time will come when your body starts undergoing unusual changes..."

"...hording urge..."

"...damsel collection..."

"...territoriality will increase, especially after establishing your horde and/or acquisition of your first damsel/princess..."

Well technically Viserys collected his first princess when Daenerys was born so was his territoriality always increasing? is that the real secret to his success? early princess collection?

We are slacking on princess collecting, to be honest. Even our maiden count is somewhat abysmal.
