Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
I really want us to slot in an HDW insight. I really like this art. Each of the techniques are good for a support, and the first technique works with any music art. Having a constant awareness of the perspective of allies is a huge boon in a fight. If the first technique works with our domain, we don't even need an action to set up the technique. That would be amazing for team fights.
The art itself has nothing to do with slotting it beside setting the theme. We wont keep the techs or something like that. All those things will go away when we replace the art with something better.

[] Even walking alone, footfalls echo beyond your hearing

Out of sight doesn't mean they aren't there. You are connected, even if you can't see how or who.
Do not stop seeking even if it seems bleak.
This might pose some issues with the Silence/Void type stuff, because it says that theres always a sound/person, you just aren't there to hear it.

[] One note never exists in isolation, its meaning is found in the whole composition

Every note, every thread, every person and every action, no matter how alone it seems, has a meaning beyond the individual.
The child starving on the streets is a personal tragedy, a local event, and when there is more than one, it speaks of things such as poor governance, lack of charity, and misunderstandings. Its like....look to the bigger picture. Even the Great Spirits, alone as they might seem, aren't truly in solitude, their actions interact with each other.
This could be a problem with the more ego focused insights, but we don't have any of them in our current or upcoming arts. We always liked team arts and Me's A Crowd stuff.

[] A song must have listeners to have value, music is a shared experience at heart.

Music is to be shared, actions must be known to have worth. This builds upon our FVM insight and advanced insight: after you suffer, you get a thing, the person who you got it for's opinion matters, and matters a lot.
The risks here lies in the synergy, it really emphasizes that the opinions of others matter when you have two insights operating on the same idea, and I think some of us might have issues with Ling Qi starting to put more value on the opinions of others over herself.

I like this one, though I understand the guys wanting to save slots for the future, remember, insight quality is independent of art quality, art quality simply means you have a deeper pool to poll from. If you have a SPECIFIC set of future insight themes you're looking forward to, then by all means withhold the slot, but if you're just hoping the higher quality art is going to give a more appropriate insight then it's not really that significant.
Personally the One Note insight > No Insight > the other two insights, which may complicate our lives a fair chunk

E: Some of the discussion made me a lot more okay with the footfalls insight, so adding it as approval.

i think its good for ling qi to start considering the consequences of her actions. So this is my vote.

going to go with this one because it helps remind Ling Qi of her actions in the future and how it may affect people since where she's going she's looks like she's going to need it. not all insight need to change the characters view point, it just has to help shape our character to becoming stronger and make the right decision she won't regret in the future.

I feel like insights should be slotted only from our core arts, like Forgotten Vale Melody, Frozen Soul Serenade, or Thousand Ring Fortress. Shit that's done heavy lifting for us. Harmony of Dancing Wings was nice and all, but it wasn't anything as lasting or impactful as our Big 4

I like this one because Ling Qi has been neglectful in the past of the ripples her actions might cause in those around her, such as her decision to tank the knife for Xiulan and how her mother might be hurt by her daughter making that decision.

It shows how despite Ling Qi frequently acting in solitude her actions hold weight, and I think that's deserving of an insight slot given her recent resolve to improve in this area.

That's fair and part of me agrees with you. However, the first HDW insight can still possibly help our heart demon I think. I think it depends on whether you focus on the insight as an option or the art it comes from. HDW really isn't a core art at all.

EDIT: As a reminder to people, we have two slots open and HDW would be filling one of them. Until we get to Domain rank E (we just got to Domain rank F IIRC), we will only have one slot left. Just something for people to keep in mind.

I disagree about TRF being a core art. It was useful because of it's function, but until the end it didn't fit Ling Qi thematics, and even now I'm doubtful about its insight. For me, HDW is much in theme and fit our protagonist story arc better than TRF.

I like this insight.
