@Goldfish, I've been meaning to ask -- what gear does our Awakened Adamantine Golem have? IIRC he successfully got that level of Unchained Monk, so a Monk's Belt given to him would be a very good investment. He'd have the AC and unarmed damage of a Monk five levels higher with that piece of equipment. :D

I don't think we need to design another one so much as remove the duplicate tree.

There was a general consensus on limiting MAs to the things we can't do without Viserys on it (and which are really quick to be done), and the rest is backgrounded/delegated with the bare minimum of interlude'ism to it.

Here's what I have so far. Nothing too fancy, but lots of good stuff to further enhance his abilities and sure up his few weaknesses, along with a bit of utility. I don't think any of ya'll mind giving him a Mind Blank ring, right? He's not vulnerable to many Enchantment spells, but there are a few (we've made use of them ourselves) and the immunity to Divination cannot be ignored.

Not yet. I was going to bug DP about it once all the other stuff from the battle (XP, loot, etc.) was taken care of.

With 14 Wyverns involved (each capable of carrying 8 Beetle Bombs) and the Moonchaser's currently undefined payload and rate of fire (gonna assume 4 per round for now), conservatively estimating that they were engaged for 8 rounds, that's 144 Beetle Bombs used. Again, that's just a rough estimate pending word from DP.

Not counting those being produced this month (328 planned for the month), our Beetle Bomb stockpile was at 447 prior to the battle, so we're still doing pretty good there.

And so the Adamantine Golem jumps from being CR19 and being THE WALL straight into being DS-grade cheesewheel and CR... 22-23 I'd say :V

Maybe CR 21, definitely not 23.

There are a lot of neat Monk items available, but most of them won't do much good for a level one Monk. You can ignore anything which affects or enhances Ki.

Equipment really only adds one or two CR, TBH, it's quite ill-defined.
Viserys' and Richard's add 2-3 beyond the class/level-based CR of theirs, easy.
It's very amorphous a system, yes.

The Golem deserves CR 22 with these upgrades, imo - only being able to die to a vorpal attack (highly specific weapon needed), nigh-completely protected from magic (and Mjndblanked on top), great saves (and +5 on them on top), an absolute fucking murder in melee, and with decent mobility (flight, +30 ground movement), too.

The thing he lacks is ranged attacks (preferably carrying his melee strikes far into the distance with some monk bs).

...we can probably put a canon on him, can't we?

How much would it cost to upgrade the Amulet of Mighty Fists to the maximum?

Waaaay more than it's worth. He's already got a sky high attack bonus, which we're further augmenting with a Strength booster and the +2 Amulet. We also don't need to worry about him being blocked by Damage Reduction, as he will outright ignore anything with less than Epic DR.

The +2 Amulet is only 1600 IM. The +5 Amulet would be 10,000 IM.

Do we actually care for whoever rules Slavers' Bay from the shadows, long as it isn't Asmodeus?
I say, finding his multi-layered plan and ruining it as much as we can, should be the priority.

Yes we care.

If the old-school slavers win, who are still trying to prop up an industry that is simply failing because half the world won't deal with them anymore, things will bet worse here.
Cutting out Asmodeus is nice, but not helpful if the following despair creates a Gate-wide opening for Abbadon's rulers next month.
