Can you explain what you want to happen?
Duesal and I aren't happy with the "capture F!Aegon" as we think it is more efficient/safe/sensible to kill him off quickly before Timmie has a chance to pull anything with him - and focus on her.

Capture may not save us from her Divine-powered dragon-turning bullshit, unlike "dead in AMF".

Edited version of the plan. Still not voting to kill Aegon, though. Not out of the goodness of my heart, but for fear of triggering a contingency of some sort. I also want to kill him in a way that makes it impossible to Resurrect him. We can't do that in the field at the moment, so we need to make do the best we can.

  • [X] Plan "Get fucked, Tiamat!"
-[X] Aegon is subdued as quickly and efficiently as possible by our forces, whether that means beating him unconscious, imprisoning him in a Smoky Confinement bottle or using Amber Sarcophagus, holding him in an Antimagic Field, etc.
-[X] Viserys uses Miracle to cast Moment of Prescience on himself and Blood Wishes a Surge of Fortune spell on himself, Dany Dreamcasts a Surge of Fortune spell on herself, and Lya renews her Moment of Prescience spell if necessary.
-[X] Dany activates the Well of Eternity with Viserys, Lya, and Richard each expending as much Mythic Power as they can spare to bolster her or the Well as needed while Teana and Sandor stand guard over them to prevent sudden Interlopers from interfering.

About !Aegon - you don't become a high level character without determination, and we just destroyed his future. Why would he agree to anything we propose (except to betray us, of course)?

We'll have to have arrangements made immediately after.

No adressing the
"let's kill F!Aegon" or "Let's put all the MP and Bloodwishes into the ritual!"
?
It doesn't address killing Aegon, as I explained in the tally post, but it does expend all available Mythic Power and leave Sandor and Teana to guard them, which includes shielding them if necessary. Teana can make a Brilliant Barrier if necessary.

Blood Wish is a spell, with each one requiring a separate action. Trying to say "use all the Blood Wishes" doesn't make any mechanical sense. It's already pushing things by throwing Mythic Power at it.

Okay then, deleted my comment now that you edited this in.

Why not throw more MP and reality-bending bullshit at the Well of Eternity though?

EDIT: and ninja'ed again.

There came a large influx of voters after the switch to capturing Aegon, so why would he change that?
There was no comment to the inserted tally when I wrote that, duesal and I tagged goldie about this a bit before, so I reasonably was expecting some response.

I don't think there's enough time to convince Aegon to turn on Tiamat right now, and trying to do it with her right there feels risky. Although everything feels risky - Tiamat could have contingencies for him dying (some might work even in AM field), him betraying her, the Unraveling being used (fool me once kind of thing). And someone pointed that killing him might return the power invested in him to Tiamat? Not sure if it works that way.

Maybe we could have the other team knock him out (magically like Smoky Confinement?) and teleport with him out to the Snare. Distance seems reliable to me, though there could be a contingency against teleporting also, hah.

capture is the current plan with looting then true killing right after

Also, is that the most buffing we can possibly do in 2 rounds? Doesn't look like a lot, though I'm ignorant about buffing schemes. Is it just because we already have a bunch of buffs running?

On using the Well - is there anything we could do to like... bolster the symbolism here? What with the gods' domains clashing etc.

You guys should probably kill him?

If for nothing else than to deny Tiamat the chance to sacrifice him.

Or for him to sacrifice himself...

Everyone is already buffed to the gills with just about every spell we can apply increasing saves, AC, etc. There isn't anything we can apply on short notice which isn't already in effect, and I would rather err on the side of using the Well sooner rather than later. Surge of Fortune is a great buff spell, but very short duration, so we're using it, and using Moment of Prescience would have required a high level spell slot investment earlier, which we may have needed elsewhere. Now is as good a time to use it as we're going to get.

If he is a cleric of Tiamat he wouldn't do that. If only because doing that doesn't get him what he wants, which is his friends back and a throne under his ass.

Tiamat might kill him of course, but no matter what she does the damage this weapon is about to do will eclipse the meager amount of power she would regain.

That being said I would be a lot happier with him taken off the field permanently, if only because, as I have stated before, he has literally every reason to hate us.

"Family" or not he wouldn't hesitate to stab us in the eye for payback, and he definitely wouldn't play second fiddle to us ruling the Seven Kingdoms. It's the same reason we've kept our crazy brother in his nice and comfy grave. Some people really, really, really need to stay dead.

No, you can sacrifice your chosen pretty easily. Decent payout too.

They dont have to STAY dead either. Unless you want Xbox huge bucks.

And well... you guys have done a pretty good job of making him desperate.

You shudder, a film of cold sweat across your face, the ivory rod is slippery in your hand. "Your Grace," Ser Richard's voice sounds shaken as you have rarely heard it in a fight. You have rarely heard him speak beyond calling out instructions, or asking how best to fight the foe. What does he see in your face? You are not sure you want to know.
Is Viserys trying not to think about how scared he probably looked?

Granted, not a lot can really give him a near death experience these days, and most of what can is usually a fate worse than death.

For Richard's part, Viserys doesn't look so invincible now I guess? Or more like the seventeen year old teenager he might otherwise be without the burden of rule hanging over his head.

Well for Viserys it was one hell of a wake up call.

It's like playing Smash bros online. You're doing great for all the matches you been in, you've made it to Elite Smash, you're standing tall.

Next thing you know you've been two stocked by a random pikachu, you're on your last stock and you're sitting at 109% and you just managed to survive and take one of his.

He still has two more, he's sitting at zero, and while you might have grabbed the time clock and slowed him down you only have one shot to hit him with the baseball bat before that slo-mo runs out and your ass is grass.

For Ser Richard, that's the first time in battle we've ever been that close to defeat. And for once, Viserys probably did look every bit as scared as he felt.

Yes, I think this perfectly encapsulates the gravitas of this situation.

Viserys is trying not to think about what the look of terror he must have given at the prospect of being sou-trapped by Tiamat yes.
