Wizards:
2 Wizards of the Seventh Circle (Volantine Evokers)
1 Wizard of the Sixth Circle (Necromancer/Flesh-smith)

Priests:
1 Tiamat Clerics of the Sixth Circle
2 Tiamat Clerics of the Fourth Circle
Too many for comfort... @DragonParadox, what do we know about how hard it is to enter and exit the Shadow Plane Fortress? Once a mage is inside how hard is it to quickly escape if it becomes clear the fortress is being stormed?

[X] Travel to Trader Town, you might be able to remove some of your most dangerous foes while making it seem as though Pol Qo did so

I just deleted my vote. Picking them off is a bad idea, actually. We ought to focus on getting the Mind-blanked ones all at once, and not just picking off mere 4th-circle casters, risking tipping them off.

Keeping track of non-Mind Blanked mages is a distraction.

@DragonParadox, I've been going back to get the exact numbers here. Is the number of Prismatic Drakes still 23 like it was more than a year ago or have they gotten more?

Misconception, it's been like 3 months... which again, makes me suspect Tiamat is shoving more power into the Aegon-shaped shell than it can fit.
... Right, I keep forgetting how slow we've been moving OOC.

I'm still expecting Tiamat to pull out one or two surprise!Dragons on us the second we attack. Special little presents just for us.

@DragonParadox, I noticed that you described F!Aegon as a Mage of the Eighth Circle while describing the other Tiamat cultists as Clerics. Is he not a Cleric? That's going to change our battle preparations if he's not.

[X] There's is very little chance that the group of mages in Trader Town's current activities do not in some way relate to their next objective. Pursue with deception in mind and determine how to intervene or if you have the opportunity to coordinate with Pol Ning and her people or not.

Practically speaking I don't want to go in there without the full party, so no splitting up, even if we might get useful information, mostly because I think it's time sensitive.

Our best bet would be to send our sneaks to out-sneak the probably less sneaky cultist wizards.
Being sneaky and being able to find a needle in a haystack are two different things. These mages are in a massive city full of people, are immune to Divination, are probably under magical disguises and are trying to hide.
Finding them without a single lead honestly sounds more or less impossible unless we're crazily lucky. We don't know where to look what kind of thing to look out for, what they're trying to achieve...

I imagine it will be easier if we rely on our local contacts.

Gather Information is our friend when Divination is made unavailable. No matter how great they are, they probably can't hide from Garin. They're wizards and clerics, they're not going to have invested that many skillpoints in sneaking and subterfuge. Not as much as a proper high level rogue.

If we somehow manage to take out the Shadow Fortress would that cause them to scatter or would they mount an attack to reclaim it?

And we have the advantage of knowing someone who knows the city upside down, or knows people who do.

Probably scatter. Keep in mind they've been exploring the Shadow Plane whereas we've barely even had any interactions with there. That'd be like a Lannister trying to hunt us in the Opaline Vault where we get to use all our contacts to our advantage.

This too.

Y'all, I know there's no rush to vote since I imagine we're not getting two updates today, but you could actually present a comprehensive plan if you want to gather intelligence. I think we have much less chance of being caught out in Trader Town than we do in the camp.

How do you hunt a Mythic Dragon Archmage, much less one with a high CR murderblender and multiple other archmages usually accompanying them?

Okay. I guess hunting one of our minions would be a better fit. A minion who regularly makes the trip to the Opaline Vault for shopping or diplomatic stuff.
