Okay, we might want to visit Axis at some point. I mean, besides the infernal domination, that will lend us a lot of insight into making our own afterlife.

/foams at the mouth as he resists the urge to murder everything between us and the Anvil
It's just a way of doing soul forging, Lya figured out how to do it on her own, the Flesh Forges do it, and considering they're having problems with a single dragon, I doubt it's a better way of soul forging than we already have access to.

So while it could be neat to have, I don't think it's vital to get this.

We just got confirmation that it was a part in the creation of Inevitables.

It's not about what the Anvil can do on its own, though that's interesting too, but rather in seeing it as a part of the grand project "make your own race of Outsiders without high individual price and time-investment" that makes the Anvil valuable.

Well yeah but that's long term, now we know where it is, it's not likely to move from Kelasi except into Galzerai's Hoard, so it's not time sensitive to get it now, we can wait until it's actually the only remaining puzzle piece we need, before we try to get ahold of it.

We will be in a much better position to claim it some years down the line, than we are at the moment.

I'm not seeing any reason to prefer his foes over him here. The boss here doesn't seem that great either.

We are not getting the Anvil without making both our enemies either way.
I wouldn't mind pissing off Kelasi either. My main point is that Galzerai in particular offers us nothing special, so I'm not seeing a good reason to go out of our way to appease him.

Lets wait some time first at least, the Anvil seem interesting and useful, but we should wait and see if we can't trade for it, with at least 1 of the parties before we resolve to just take it.

Depending on how impressive an use they get out of it, we might be able to trade a permanent discount on Forge creatures and some lore for it, they're certainly not going to sell it lightly, but we actually have access to the kind of things they might potentially trade it for.

Or we might not need it permanently, we have access to quite a few researchers, including a god of invention in Zathir, it's not impossible, that we can make our own version of this anvil, which probably will have different themes, but we aren't aiming for making Axiomites anyway.

I am interested in the anvil. Sounds like it was responsible for some of the Lhaksharuts best tricks.

True seeing, the monk style wisdom armor class, detecting magic, and all of those sweet extra attacks of opportunity.

And while those abilities are awesome I am not sure they would advance our knowledge of how to create base inevitables.

The Anvil is valuable enough that there's nothing I'd be willing to trade for it. Kelasi might potentially be able to be reasoned with, but Galzerai would try to extract everything he could from us. I doubt he'd ever be content with a mere discount and some lore.

We're not making anything like the Anvil until Lya is a lot further down her Mythic Path.

The issue with taking the Anvil right now is that doing so would run contrary to a lot of our efforts in the Plane of Water, where we've tried to establish friendly relations with every power we interact with, and negotiate trade deals and military alliances while making a good name for ourselves as a trustworthy Dragon.

It would hit our rep too hard at a time when we really need it to be ironclad.

I want it, but I can wait.

Also good news.

It looks like we Axis will be somewhat easier to fix than heaven.

We just need to oust Hell as their primary provider of goods and services.

Which means we only have to win an economic wrestling match with Asmodeus. Yay.

Do we even know how to make flesh forges yet?
We have the lore from dragon dreams. We rolled really really well for it, just that DP has never covered it.

I can wait too. But if getting the anvil means steamrolling Galzerai one day then that's what I look forward to.
