@egoo

I don't know if this has been brought up yet, but I saw this while looking for anti-illithid stuff and it looks like it'd boost Viserys' will save a bit.

Visions of the Future is 1 hour/level and normally provides a +2 sacred bonus, but it can be discharged as an immediate action to give a 1/2 CL sacred boost to all saves and a dodge bonus to AC of the same value with a cap at +25.

You would have to ask him IC. Viserys does not know the man that well.
That's how I've handled it in my plan. We're going to give him a menu of Undead to choose from, explain their capabilities, and let him choose which he wants to use, if that is all right?

Since this is a pretty major step, and like you said, Viserys doesn't know him too well, I don't think we should just go "Here's a small army of Undead for you! Go kick Deep One ass!". :V

Good find, thanks a lot!
Would make... +11 I think.
@Goldfish, what's Viserys' "no-lya's buff" CL, again?

20 resting, 22 using Wild Arcana, and further modified by other effects, such as a Blood Wished Spell Enhancer spell (+2). For practical purposes, though, I wouldn't try to push it past 22 without a good reason.

Gonna need some votes, ya'll.

If there's something wrong with me plan, let me know and I can make adjustments.

@Goldfish, three things:

1. I've found a way to get riders on the Bloodsharks. I'd wait with delivering the Greater Bloodsharks until the Fungus Forge has been upgraded to allow for a stronger rider.

2. What was the pricing scheme for the Fungus Forge again?

3. A Soulforged, Skeletal Seal costs 10 IM a piece, has a swim speed of 60 ft. and is large enough to cram 20 pounds of Explosive Packs into it's ribcage. If we research to give them Quickling Creature, they could have 240 ft. swimspeed and would only go up to 35 IM a piece.

I'm curious as to how all these buffs effect Viserys' perspective on the world. We don't see it much since he doesn't marvel at his own senses frequently, but even discounting the specific sense boosts he's under a lot of magic.

AC for example; he has an insight bonus, a wisdom based bonus from the belt, some natural armor buffs, and if we add visions of the future a sacred bonus.

What does that feel like? Insight would be an supernatural intuition on how people will move, the wisdom in what choices they're likely to make, and the sacred represents him actually seeing it a bit beforehand right? That level of environmental awareness seems like the kind of thing that'd cause most people to have a panic attack if they suddenly got put under the same load.

Then there are the buffs to his basic stats. A significant percentage of each one is provided by one of the items he's wearing. Viserys might not think about it, but he's something like 18% smarter, 30% more charismatic and 20% wiser with all his gear on.

Viserys has long since reached the point where he's barely experiencing the same world as any random human even if they're standing in the same room. The closest thing I can think of is something like this woman who has tetrachromatic eyes.

I know we bring this up on occasion, it just really struck me while looking through his will save boosts how something as simple as walking through a crowded room would differ for Viserys and a random commoner (setting aside reputation of course).

1) Whatever Undead you don't want available, just make a note on your post from last night which I linked in my plan.

2) I'm adding it to my Forge Order post. @DragonParadox, it appears we made a mistake when it came to calculating cost of CR 11-15 Forge-grown creatures back in October. You gave us the info, but then we forgot to halve the cost due to the Forge discount.
It follows the same scale. A CR 11 is worth as much as two Cr 9 ones, a CR 12 as much as two CR 10s etc...
Okay, that means we're looking at these prices for higher level Flesh Forging.

11 CR: 14,400 IM
12 CR: 19,200 IM
13 CR: 28,800 IM
14 CR: 38,400 IM
15 CR: 57,600 IM
So for example, the Mighty Mind Dragons should have cost 28,800 IM each instead of 57,600 IM. That's completely our fault for not applying the discount properly, and rather than trying to go back and fix the mistake, I would rather just chalk it up to a one time cost associated with firing the Flesh Forge up for the first time in centuries and not yet having a perfect understanding of it. Sorry!

So, that means with the Forge discount, here's the correct prices for Forge-grown creatures:
CR 1: 225 IM
CR 2: 300 IM
CR 3: 450 IM
CR 4: 600 IM
CR 5: 900 IM
CR 6: 1,200 IM
CR 7: 1,800 IM
CR 8: 2,400 IM
CR 9: 3,600 IM
CR 10: 4,800 IM
CR 11: 7,200 IM
CR 12: 9,600 IM
CR 13: 14,400 IM
CR 14: 19,200 IM
CR 15: 28,800 IM

3) I'm kinda concerned that Undead are too cheap, to be honest, in comparison to even the discounted stuff we grow in the Forges. I don't have an issue with them being much cheaper, as they come with significant drawbacks and limitations, but they shouldn't cost 10% or less of a similar CR living creature.

The cheapness of the undead is one of the big things that make them worthwhile, they have quite a few drawbacks to deal with.

I completely agree, they should be much cheaper. 20% or 25% of the cost of a similar CR living creature seems pretty reasonable to me. It's not that big a deal, though, so I'm not gonna press for us to increase the cost. Just something that I suddenly noticed when looking at prices side by side.
Allosauruses are great. We got one from Sothoryos to serve as Soft Strider's mount, she just hasn't had time to tame it yet.
Soft Strider: "Killosauras, go fetch my Imperial Times broadsheet, please? Who's a good terror lizard? That's right, you are!"

Interlude DCXCVIII: To Till New Soi
To Till New Soil

Second Day of the Twelfth Month 293 AC

Outskirts of Sorcerer's Deep, Leshy Fields

In the months since she came to call Skane her home and been named a Lady by the folks who dwelled there, the Thrice-Forged Bloom had begun to increasingly appreciate the gods of earth, stone, and tree the more she learned of them. Yes, they could be cruel to their enemies, but it was the cruelty of a rose with hooked thorns guarding it against a world that would see it burned. It was from the living earth they sprang, and that earth they guarded till the last against that which would grind all life to dust.

Yet it was here, walking among shoots of fragrant green, that she most appreciated them. Thin-leaved cassil that could be brewed into a tea to prevent pregnancy among lovers who did not desire it, rippling blue-green arkas grass to make fleet of foot any beast that ate it and even fragrant flame clove whose leaves seemed to move seeking the warmth of her fire as she walked the rows, all grown by the leshy, root and branch of the Green Dream beyond, small mendings of a world marred.

No, she shook her head, it was too easy to think in terms of restoring what had been lost, of returning to a world Unbroken. This small field was something else, new life such as had never sprouted within the mortal realm, with seeds bought from the markets of distant Spheres, tended by the spirits of the wild-wood and then carried for all the world to make use of on bold trade ships. Well, all the world that had the silver to pay at least, but Bloom did not begrudge a fair profit for honest work.

Speaking of fair gain for honest work, Bloom was not in Sorcerer's Deep just to enjoy the fresh air and collect some seeds. Skane was growing, and with that growth her people were looking to invest in their own futures, though many would need a little help.

Sorcerer's Deep, Iron Bank Branch Office

"What credit do you need... er, my lady," the clerk hesitated on the title, pushing himself further into the chair and away from Bloom's flames the way many people did on first meeting her, not that she minded. It was one thing to tell someone the fire was safe, and another entirely for them to overcome a lesson they had learned since earliest childhood.

"Oh, it's not for me," she explained. "I'm interested in seeing that the Small Credit Line is open for citizens on Skane. It is the realm's only holding west of the Narrow Sea, and quite distant from the usual trade lanes. We do not have as much of a formal administrative presence compared to most places, but with the presence of the Silver Serpent many are considering going into business for themselves, with hunters, trappers and tradesmen of all sorts serving the growing port."

"Hmm... yes, it is rather had to establish guarantees," the man said. "Surely the merchants will be able to develop the island in a more... civilized manner rather than depending on..."

"Wildlings?" Bloom cut in, her tone pleasant but unwavering. "The people of Skane wish nothing more than to live in peace under the protection of the Empire and find prosperity in a cold harsh land. This I vouch for." The word echoed for a heartbeat more in the sudden stillness of the chamber. "I ask nothing more than that they receive as much consideration and trust as any other citizens of the realm."

"Yes, my lady. There will be no trouble," came the far firmer reply.

OOC: And here we are gardening and a glimpse of micro-credits. They went well together.

Keep in mind there is one other big limitation, you need intact corpses of some rather impressive beasts. With the flesh forge you can just pulp random corpses and they will come out as high CR plants or other living creatures of your choice.

Here's an edited version of the chapter, DP.

Well, we can also pulp them up for Necrocrafts, but while those are neat and a bit more versatile, it's a lot less then plants.

On an unreliable note, we need kobolds.
