Why the hell are we allowing random maesters to walk around our capital. They should be turned back at the immigration counter.
Pretty sure whoever gets in is heavily vetted by security.

Those that do get in are, more importantly, constantly watched by the inquisition.

And the few that decide to be pricks suddenly get a very sharp headache starting from their lower regions and ending out their foreheads. There's no conclusive proof, but the main cause of such a thing might be the sword shoved so far up their backside their middle name is now Hilt.

"Well, I guess we should go talk to them," Lya speaks up first, motioning to the sprites who seem wholly unconcerned at your appearance in their home. Before anyone can answer, the roots of the tree shift to reveal an opening beneath the trunk from which the sound of drums and flutes resounds. An invitation...
There's already a court here, isn't there? Fortunately the signs are good so far. We can probably recruit them if they're able to live in the reflection of a Heart Tree.

If there was ever a chance for there to be a friendly Fey Court, maybe even one already aligned directly with the OG, this is probably it.

Maybe the use the memories in the roots of the Heart Tree as raw fuel for new stories or something. Would that be how a Fey Forge works? 🤔

Also @DragonParadox, I hope we eventually get to fight a Jabberwocky.
If a Jabberwock crosses our path, it will get murdered with all due haste. That's not in question.

We can only hope that offing one the the Tane doesn't attract the attention of the Eldest. We've got enough enemies already, and attracting the ire of the equivalent to Fey deities is more hassle than it's worth. These are among the beings able to control the flow of time in chosen sections of the Feywild.

I've got my fingers crossed. Ever since I found out those existed I've always hoped.
Given the strength of the PCs it's not impossible I'll say this much
Excellent. I've got a spot in the Hall of Horrors dusted off.

Because they are people in funny robes, not exactly fiends or liches are they? Like @Duesal said the inquisition is keeping an eye out, but it's not illegal to be a maester in Viserys' realm.
Also because rationally, less than 5% of Maesters are involved in anything related to political conspiracy against us specifically, and of that 5% probably less than that is actually in The Conspiracy.

Which means that the greatest threat of Maesters is organizationally the majority are just doing their jobs... which means, tending to pass information along to the Archmaester who asked some innocent questions or asked them to do some weird but harmless thing for them at a specific time and place.

Their letters home are better than any propaganda we could write. Especially that last letter: "I have discovered Sorcerer's Deep Library. I will not be returning."
Archmaester: "Another one? That's the ninth Maester we've lost to the Dragon's blasted library this year!"

Archmaester's Assistant: "Those nine were the only ones who bothered to send us their resignation..."

Archmaester:

I just realized the F!heart tree is so juiced because of how weve been treating our flesh forged constructs.

While still a place for tools to be forged, and weapons made.

Weve also been treating our creations with respect and allow them non small degree of personal freedom.

To the Fey wild it is probably a place where new stories are being born pretty much constantly.

Yeah, the Plant creatures we've grown have gone out and made their mark all over Planetos. They are in Sothoyos, guarding the Flesh Forge in Gogossoss, fighting with the Lads in the Riverlands, manning a fortress on the edge of the Valyrian wastelands, journeying to Yi-Ti with perhaps the largest grade fleet in Planetosi history, traveling and serving aboard the Moonchaser with Moonsong, teaching in the Scholariums, etc. And they aren't just sitting there, but helping to shape the world through their actions. They've saved lives and ended them, and even now stories are probably being told all over the place about the Plant spirits that serve the Dragon King.

And they are all linked to the Fungal Forge, which is reflected here in the Feywild.

That one Lotus Leshy who died while helping the Lads might have inspired enough of a story or legend that it alone led to the birth of a new Fey.

Good Heavens, Roose Bolton, what the hell is that Class?

A Class that promotes violence and cruelty? I didn't know such Class exist 'till now.

With his ranks in Bluff, Sense Motive, and Knowledge(Nobility), Roose should have a +6 synergy bonus to his Diplomacy score. Unless that's where his current 6 ranks are coming from?

  • [X] Speak to the Sprites
-[X] After attracting the attention of one or more Sprite, greet them politely and engage in what conversation they are willing to make. Try to learn what we can of these Sprites, the surrounding Feywild (not just the tree and its immediate environs), the reflection of the Great Heart Tree, and anything else they are willing to share that may be of interest.
-[X] In exchange if the Sprites ask of ourselves, share minor stories of our realm, some of the accomplishments of our vassals (especially Fey, such as Glyra and Moonsong), and perhaps even something about ourselves, though obviously nothing sensitive or of much greater worth (the kinds of tales we can use to make major purchases with powerful Fey).
