Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

Considering Silently Watches stated disinterest in detailed gun trivia (back when we considered making toys for the Privateers) .... I'm not sure whats more impressive or odd, that they picked such an oddball Revolver for Ose to carry (was it his grandpa's from Korean War?) ... or that they actually found the one SIG model that couldn't come in 45 ACP :V
You underestimate how much effort I'll put into a throwaway joke.

Once I had the idea for this joke, I looked up military surplus revolvers available for purchase (and found out that the M1917 is supposedly a common civilian sporting revolver?) and yes, had to find a handgun that didn't come in that caliber. I started with SIG Sauer because it was the first company that came to mind, and the fact it was a minor variant really helped sell the "Kayleigh is a total gun nut" aspect.

It took way longer than I really should have spent on this.

But hey, none of this matters tooooo much beyond confirmation that Kayleigh needs to ask Teana's advice on building a Device ! <3 <3
Teana sadly wouldn't be that much help. Cross Mirage does NOT work like a normal gun any more than Raising Heart works like a normal staff.

I was actually thinking about this earlier today, and Kayleigh (assuming she ever gets scanned/mutated) might be someone who would benefit from one of her spell slots being used for a tech skill instead. Tim and the Gears can build elemental bullets (they… technically fit in the energy weapon category), so give her a bullet-smithing skill and a manatech bullet press and let her make her own special rounds. It's a lot cheaper than needing to use multiple spells for different elemental effects. Because yes, Kayleigh would guaranteed want to use a gun as her Device.

Plus it would really creep out Teana and Erga because the TSAB worlds all pretty much eschew mass-based weapons, and elemental bullets firmly straddle the line between magic and mass.

TSAB: "We have evolved beyond such savage instruments of warfare."
Human race: "Yeah, but our enemies haven't."
To be fair its more they can't afford the deaths. Its been less than a century since the end of a multi century long war which saw the unrestrained deployment of strategic weapons capable of destroying planets and worse. TSAB population is probably only a few billion, not to mention the stronger magic lines were affect disproportional. They literally can't afford to lose any one, hence there policy of stun only, child soldiers and community service for repentant villains.

It hasn't been 24 hours since the last vote, not even 12 hours honestly, but I don't see this landslide changing anytime soon.

Vote part 2

So we're going after the spa group? Good choice. We'll do the tactics vote similar to last time since it seemed to work so well.

I'm loath to go up close in a tinker's workshop. I'd rather stand off and burn them down with overwhelming firepower. Away from potential haywire situation with tinker tech.

Least good of the three names (not that I have a better suggestion to offer) , buuuut I really want to take another crack at imposing a Bullet Hell.... just, ya know, indoors this time! (Through the windows probably?)

My main justification for voting cool over the practicality of "delete building" , other than a chance for SW to vary up battle scenes, is to at least make a defensible effect at not wrecking toooo muuuuch of the poor Resort's property. Our vacation literally only just started!! (And, ya know, people frown on ruining leases and deposits).

Then again, I'm aware that filling a closed space with lethal shooters (rapid-spam seems more fair than exploding :p but either way) isn't likely to leave a particularly intact building.... maybe stealing the title of "Collateral Damage Barbie" in that catsuit will be good for Taylor's self eseteem? :V

Alexandria or Legend probably would.

Even after learning Taylor's age (and ruining such a good sub-plot of teasing) , Alexandria would probably ask to come along so she could take notes and critique her protege's efforts.

I worry that this fight, more than any other, is likely to have people show up whose loyalties we cannot quickly ascertain. I suggest we go back to the good lod Wide Area Search approach, with stunning shooters fired en masse to knock everybody out. If there's a brute or if the Tinker is wearing power armor, we may have to switch to lethal, but the situation here means we won't get a chance to see the enemy, judge whether they are friend or foe, and then act. We need a better reactive stance than we can handle in close quarters.

[X]USER=7954]@Silently Watches[/USER] how likely would it be for the PRT to hand over everything they know about the Fallen if we request or demand it? Including real names and identities of the Fallen they know of.

Storm has already hacked the PRT once, though so cautiously that we got little from them. Then again, as SW points out, we do have some friends in high places.

Oh, wait, is there a moratorium or no? I know it doesn't say it, but I think I should ask

Combat votes are almost never moratoriums. I would say never, but I've learned never to speak in absolutes.

In case they have hostages. Probably will still kill them... but we should try.

Collapsing a building on any civilians currently stuck there might be a bit of an issue. We didn't seem to get everybody when we were evacuating the place, though it's possible we did. We were too rushed on that last port to be certain, and Mastered civilians might be being brought here to be armed as more cannon fodder.

We need precision here. Carpet bombing the place will harm any potential civilians, which we don't want and can't afford. And letting any of these scumbags live simply does not strike me as a viable option.

"Last Volley" refers to a volley of Flare Shooters. The bullet hell Racoras wants so bad.

"One Buster" is, well, Taylor's Buster. Namely Solar Wrath.

The big name Master of this entire war party is Purson, who's part of the suites group.
