[] Gold, Broken - Final Preparations: WIth general knowledge on Golden Company, their Shadow Fortress and the spy-ring in Yi-Ti acquired, it is time to do the final preparations before the amassed attack - scouting out the locations of commanders, and such matters - things that Mindblanked companions would be needed for because of Tiamat's clerics constant Divination.
--(The attack itself is a "free" action, but dealing with preparations, and mopping up the remains would take a week+ of time from the group assigned)
---- Waymar, Tyene, Teana, Rina, Dany, Richard,
@Duesal, better?

So I'm re-reading the (reader mode) thread and noticed a little digression in a conversation between Viserys and Waymar, soon after Damphair is dead/Sorcerer's Deep conquered/the first planar forays into the Realm of Molten Skies begun.

"I think death itself might fear him too much to take the old bastard," you agree, amused and a little disturbed at the prospect. Does the Stranger fear the Old Gods? Do gods do battle on some far off plane beyond the ken of humankind? Most disturbingly at all is there some sorcery that can open a gate onto that distant battle-ground?

Viserys of about 3-4 years ago has no idea what he's going to get himself into...

Viserys 3-4 years ago: "I'm sure it's not that bad."

Viserys now: "It's that bad, but we're working on it."

Viserys 3-4 years from now: "We worked on that."

Literally anyone: "And?"

Viserys: "...it could be more on fire?"

It's nothing short of insane how far this quest has escalated.

Viserys 6-8 years from now: "Well Robert's still on his throne but uh... I rule the rest of the multiverse and planted a weirwood tree in every layer of the Abyss.... I think at this point I'll just let him have the Iron Throne."

[] Project Praetorian: WIth use of Fleshforges, create the sort of soldiers that could reasonably fight even Outsiders - elites and Champions the Empire will need in the coming years. (Progress 40, Cost 35,000 IM)
----Qyburn (4d6 Progress); Elaheh Marita (4d6 Progress + 1d6 for specialization) -- 9d6 Progress total
DP said that we can use a Research Action with idential Progress requirement and resource cost to instead develop a means to apply the mechanical benefits of a Dragon Vassal template with none of the metaphysical links to Viserys which some of ya'll expressed concerns with. Rather than simply including the Praetorian Project by default, I would very much prefer that we have a chance to vote on which direction to take.
A Mind Dragon could be included there, too.

We will have four of them; one accompanying Rhaella in the Reach, one with Malarys' group dealing with the goings on in Slaver's Bay, and one with the Golden Wind group checking into the Salamander Kingdoms. That leaves one unassigned.

We will have four of them
What? Wasn't there only 3?

Yeah, sure, whatever.
Let's have a vote at the start of the month, I'll personally nag at DP.
Either way, we'll be doing a Fleshforging-related 40-Progress action, so it doesn't matter list-wise.

Okay, that takes care of the brunt of my issues with that template. I still prefer going with Praetorian, but with these new changes I'm not going to be upset if Dragon Vassal wins.

IIRC we made four, which we need to meet.
The difference between a low level D&D adventuring party and a high level Planes-spanning adventuring party that decided to take over the world... :p
Bah, thinking small there. We're taking over the entire plane. Before long we'll colonize the moon and move on to different planets, just watch.

Nope, there are four of them.

Here are our high powered Forge creations grown this month. Of them, only the Mind Dragons are really suited for anything that requires subtlety and isn't immediately combat related. The Fiery Dragonbeasts are suitable for wrecking shit, though, when that's called for. The Grand Dragon Turtles, Seawyrms, and Shadebreacher Sperm Whales are primarily aquatic forces.

Grand Dragon Turtle (CR 15) x9
Fiery Dragonbeast (CR 15) x8
Mighty Mind Dragons (CR 15) x4
Seawyrm (CR 15) x3
Shadebreacher Sperm Whale (CR 12) x6

...why, again?
Seeker, I can get.
But a Mind Dragon can be found a better place for, imo.
Because the Reach is rife with Fey from the Court of Stars who are extremely unhappy with us. Rhaella will be in a dangerous situation and the Umbral Stalker which I originally planned to send with her will be occupied in Slaver's Bay. The Seeker can play the part of a loyal bodyguard and the Mind Dragon can pretend to be her Familiar using its Pseudodragon form. This is in addition to whoever else we send as part of her entourage, of course.

We should really focus on recruiting more Fey Courts when we have the time. We're going to need as much of a buffer as possible against the Court of Stars.

And after that we will build more inhabitable places in the solar system, though they wont be planet shaped, there aren't many more inefficient habitat design than planets, the only reason to use them, is that they come pre-built.

To be fair, 1) We already had claim on a significant portion of the world, and 2) Who says we're limiting ourselves to simply Planteos now? :p

Well, of course once you start taking over the world there isn't really any logical stopping point, especially when you have access to magic that makes the boundaries of existence more of a suggestion than a rule and circumvents vast distances with but a word and a gesture. The important part is making the decision, though. Once you cross the threshold from murderhobo to lord of all you survey, it just becomes a matter of implementation.

The 'bottom' needs a minimum depth for the weirwoods to take root, though.

Viserys: "That's the plan."
Any questions about ambition within this quest left open? Because this here - that's long-term planning, not hyberbole.

[] Works of Flesh: With the aid of the Flesh-Forge beneath Lys you can craft or improve all manner of beings to better serve your needs and those of your realm:
Perhaps change out the cosmetic one for something more useful? The average roll is 9 so you can add another 3 RA one if one is available.

If you can't dream a dream of empire built from the bones of fallen mad gods, you aren't planning hard enough.

After we take over Westoros we have free reign over the planet, we can take over Yi-Ti slowly or fast, idk. But in the end the entire planet will be ours.
The elemental planes are infinite too, so we can send our supersonic jets to scout out potential areas to colonize far far away from any civilization and expand that way too.
