Honestly it's not such a huge deal, I'm just a little put out that we're burning 5000 XP on something that I feel DP has to contrive to make useful to us out of sheer coincidence.

It's also kinda about fluff for me, a further point in the "mastery over fire" column.
Viserys doesn't need magic to feel nearby fires, it just shows up on his internal radar naturally.
Fluff wise they'll almost certainly all have a fire mastery component. It's also kinda about fluff for me, a further point in the "mastery over fire" column.

I just had a neat idea for a use of Flamesense. If Viserys wants to have an exact idea of where allies are within range all they need is to wear or carry an item of Continual Flame. It could even be used for signaling purposes if each person carried two of them.
Not exactly the best evidence that he's harmless, considering a moderately prepared 5th level Scholarium graduate could incinerate a small muggle army or enthrall the rulers of an unprepared nation. We train our mages right! That reminds me, we made Lormar snake-bait, but what about his apprentice? In a lot of ways he's no more threatening than a Scholarum graduate.
Possible recruit Tegos of Stonebrook: The last survivor of a village destroyed by the Jogos Nhai during their skirmishes with the Golden Company he came to be attached to the company first as a an ordinary camp follower doing everything from mending ports to helping erect tents, though his excellent memory soon saw him become a messenger from whence he was again picked out by Lormar as his new apprentice when he proved to have a sharp mind by passing several secret tests. Like his former master Tegos does not seem to have any great attachment o Tiamat, though he is personally loyal to the Golden Company. Recruitment seems feasible though a period of probation is recommended. Reading another's mind is no substitution for observing them react to change.
Viserys: "Hold my ale. I'm going for a Beguiler 4 this time."We learned that he was really dedicated to Golden Company - they freed him from Slavery iirc, but he wasn't "too dangerous to live" wither.
So we decided to keep him bottled until we take care of GC, and then do soft-brainwashing via Viserys' diplomacy.
Edit: ninja'ed
If that is how it actually works, losing her Flamesense would be hilarious.Huh.
I'm a mite slow today.
I just realized that "stealing" anything from Ymeri will likely be just that - stealing - we will probably leave her permanently without one of the powers we choose here, or at least severely weaken the according power.
Huh.
