Why does LQ miss the message? Is it just the messenger unable to find her or something else happened?
Mm I might need to add a line since this has been asked a few times, but Ling Qi is under the impression that she basically just outran it in returning, of course there are other possibilities

The main tactical advantage of this option is that if things go wrong with the Aggressive approach, I get to tell people I told you so. Mostly comes down to how organized an affair this is. If it's just young guys raiding, it probably isn't a feint. If there's a veteran barbarian pulling the strings behind the scenes, then it becomes quite a bit more likely.
When we do go on offense though, I hope Ling Qi is a little bit more imaginative than simply killing the barbarians. Track them down and steal their gliders or something. Doesn't help with the second realm+ nomads, but whatever.

The way I see it it's a great way to make contacts among our current peers.
The higher ups are locked down fighting a mountain, and it's hard to hate someone who pulled your ass out of the fire.
This isn't a training mission, after all, this is a live fire situation. I don't see people being mad at us for glory hogging here like they might have on the scouting mission since we're responding to a request for assistance.

Showing up with proof of kill for a half dozen nomads would be a pretty nice second impression, I suppose.
This reminds me though. Those other Greens are our scout-force counterparts. They should also have main force muscle. Maybe we'll get to see Shen Hu!
